Why do you think they are charging 3 times the original price of gold? Cause they are having real people (sweatshop workers) make money on your account. They will give you back your account, with more money on it. But you can bet that IP tracking will seriously counter this. I don't know a lot, but what I see is switch IP with the goldfarmer, don't log onto runescape, when they are done making your money, you switch back, and jagex sees the same IP adress that always logged onto the account. Plus, if they stole the account, what good would it be? They couldn't get the items to another account to sell anymroe then they could before! I'm not worried about this. It seems like a very desperate actions from the gold farmers, which only the very desperate will do. I think that the big attraction of gold buying was the speed. You could buy instant gold. Now you have to wait. Probably a long time too, if you want loads. I can't imagine this getting popular. This influence can be neglected.

You sir, are exactly the kind of player I hate. You simply do not care about the game. Runescape is NOT purely centred around combat and it does not have an easy option for turning it purely around combat. If you can't be bothered with getting your stuff the legal way then this isn't the kind of game for you! Hell, if players droptrade they deserve to lose ALL their accounts, not just the pure.

I didn't got the chance to play since the update, but I really like the sound of no autoers! has anybody seen the difference ingame? Like no more autoers, a sudden jump in highscores? Anything to confirm to RWT is indeed dead?

Since you seem to know it all, please tell me: How come I have excellent grades, party alot, have plenty of dates and know people that are jealous of me while I play runescape? Playing this game is a choice of mine, because I enjoy to do this. I do not care about what others want me to do, I care about what I want to do. You should try the same, it prevents you from making useless topics on fansites.

I cannot enjoy a game with real life trading. There is no fun or any feeling of achievement when you have to compete with autoers for skilling or gold buyers when you finally got that special piece of equipement. The game is much better without RWT than with. I agree, the changes are hard, but perhaps it is for the better. We need to give it some time. One thing I do know is that legalizing RWT would have really made things worse.

Make sure you have all the cash to spend when summoning gets released, otherwise you won't stand a chance to be the first to have 99. There are many players happily going to blow 100M to be the first 99 in summoning and they start training as fast as possible from the second it will be released. Whatever method you choose, make sure you have the cash before the skill is released. :)

I feel more for the other theory you posted, the bones with a name. THe gravestone could be the prove that you killed a certain player. Kill a famous player and you will have to prove that you did that.

Same thing with party room, however now it's ignored as always. Seriously, I couldn't care less for the Cooking Guild bank. The Lumbridge Castle Range is better, and the bank is merely a few clicks away. If you really want that bank, pay for members. Why people are bothered with banks near Varrock when the best place to put a bank is on Karamja? nah, better like this. pirates and bank don't really go together anyway :D

nothing special about it. It happens on RS all the time, just not in english. Most dutch curse words are not detected by the system, so dutch people can sweat all they want. Swearing is only a sign of defeat and weakness. No reason to do it. And it makes you look like an idiot as well.

I can't imagine the disappearance of direct trading. However, the grand exchange will greatly enhance the possibility of finding uneven trades. As Jagex mentioned in today's diary, each item is going to get a player set price. This way, Jagex can easily monitor trades between items and know roughly how much cash is transfered. Hell, most likely, Jagex can now easily determine the networth of your bank in one simply gp figure. That should make it easier to spot RWT. EDIT: I just realized, Jagex also knows the amount of online hours for each char. Combine that info with sudden huge changes in total character networth and you got yourself a pretty nice cheating detection system. EDIT2: Just realized something else. If Jagex is indeed capable of monitoring total character networth in time, they can start to analyse net worth growth patterns. I'm sure that most characters will follow some kind of model fit. I expect that when a player does RWT, where are talking about relative huge amounts. Sudden relative huge increases in net worth will be detected and highlighted by the system. The beauty is, is that no matter how creative the gold sellers are in getting their gold to their customers, the system will still detect the sudden increase in networth of the receiving character. That puts jagex back in control. I've had a long day and it's nearly 1 am, but I hope I'm somewhere right. Although, I could be completely wrong. :)

Sounds interesting. I don't have 100% confidence in this one. But let's see how it goes. Now that you are finished with your emotion outburst, how about some proof how summoning is going to work? For all you know, you need to wield a certain item in your right hand, making other types of combat very hard.

HEy, that's not a bad idea! I do suggest one small change. Change the dropping of items, so that only the person that dropped the item can see it. I mean, when you drop an item, you discard it anyway. I really like that. No more droptrading or pures that need help with quests by having friends dropping all kinds of food. Sounds great!
