yes, useless. Please read back what you write. You are defending that the skill at least has SOME use. That makes a skill that takes so much effort to raise pretty pathetic in my eyes. The big problem is that the uses that the skill offer do not seem to outweigh the efforts you have to put in to get to the needed lvl. Clearly, the assistance of familiars in combat is only meant for multi combat zones, which are few in the game. That just does not justify the amount of cash to lvl the skill or the combat lvl increase. Any skill will have some use in some part of the game. Summoning was announced as the biggest thing in years and just fails to live up to that claim. THis is the first skill i am not tempted to train and i also don't see many other players using familiars. The concept seemed to have so much more possibilities. I can only hope that Jagex redesigns the skill to something much better. Something more fun to train.

Yea but they hit 6s and 5s consistently through 99 def with DFS and full melee armour. Then again mummies hit consistent high 10s and even 25 and they pile you so protect melee there. I hear that wearing yak hide armor and Fremennik shield are the best to protect you from Ice trolls. True, by wearing the shield you reduce the damage form the female throwing trolls to 2-3.

you got a point there lol. Slayer is of course also not trainable in itself. I guess I was just hoping for something completely new. A new way of playing the game. I guess I have to accept that summoning is largely just an alternative way to train combat in general, just like slayer. Still doesn't feel right.

You are probably right in that Jagex intended summoning training to include getting the ingredients for the pouches. But, to me, that doesn't feel like training summoning. It feels like i'm training melee or range then, because those are the skills I will be actually using. It just feels strange that you have to train other skills 90% of the time, when you really want to train and practice summoning.

Care to elaborate? We can't be sure yet of the actual combat performance of the familiars since no one has tested them yet. We don't know if they are worth all the trouble. What I do know is that the amount of multicombat zones in RS seems limited. The only real way to train summoning is to create the summon pouches. That seems a very simple way of training. Get items, go to altar and craft. That is what I call the training system. No diversity at all. I really hope I'm missing something very big.

+1 That pretty much sums it up. Should a skill cost so much to lvl? I don't know and it's not really important. I know I will never have the cash to get a decent lvl in summoning with the current system. Besides that, I don't even see the great advantages of having a high summoning lvl, so why bother getting the cash in the first place? The familiars seem to lack the power to really make a difference in combat and most of the game is single combat anyway. This skill seems more about a challenge for the extreme hardcore runescape players, than something fun and useful to do in a game. I have the feeling that many many players are disappointed. At least I know I am...

IMO bone bolts are very overrated. The are cost effective, but they are not time effective. By using better bolts like mith or addy you will generate far more cash in the same time period than you would by using bone bolts. And that cash difference repays itself easily then.

d b axe special, then 1 sip of normal restore pot and then 1 sip of super attack. max boosted attack and max boosted strenght with normal def. and it only uses cheap pots. the dds spec is not so important for training. I advise the d b axe spec + pots.

better invest in a cannon and cannonballs. bandos does not seem to be worth it at all IMO. start with guthan and cannon and work from there.

or don't read anything at all and be naive. It feels much more adventurous to explore everything yourself!

just buy a couple of k. you will use them pretty fast. if yuo want more afterwards, just buy more.

F2p? Ok, a bit slower, but how about fire strike? mind runes are cheap. fire strike giants or minotaurs and collect the bones/arrows. sell these.

I agree on on the first part of your post. People get too emotional concerning religious people and thereby exaggerate their statements. They hurt others by saying that and in the end it's completely pointless as well. However, your statements about scientists and murderers are not credible too. Those kind of statements are meaningless without evidence to back them up. I don't agree with you on the statements. Give examples of crazy scientists and the reasons why you think they are crazy. Also, you better provide a source for the statement that most murderers are athiests, or you most be an expert on statistical analysis of murderes and their religions. Otherwise both those statements are nothing but thin air and only insulting to the people you refer to.

I agree with all above comments. I'm not a big fan of d boots. they are relatively expensive, offer little extra def bonus and look awful. To me, a +2 strength bonus does not justify an additional 300k. Get rune boots instead. Spend that 300k on something better like a torag helmet or safe up for a black mask if you really want to boost damage.

the growing times have some random factor in it. Sometimes it takes longer for the bush to grow. For instance, fruit trees can take more than 24 hours to grow to completion. Just have some more patience. ;)

how can you hit better without the mask giving a bonus? if the mask does not give any bonussen for ranged, the mask has no effect. So it would be better to wear something that does give bonusses, like an archer helm or robin. OT: btw, what part of brasil do you live? Although, I am dutch, I live in Rio de Janeiro for 3 months now and I love your country!

try to sell raw lobs instead of cooked ones. There is a much bigger market for those.

just start doing it. Cats catch rats much faster than kittens. I advise you kill rats in evil dave's basement. The spices are always useful.

the black mask does not give ranged attack bonus, so you will not hit more often. The black mask only boosts melee attack and strength bonus.

sell dharoks and you have plenty of cash ;)

haha melee give 10% accuracy (i dont beleive it) range gives 10% accuracy (seems more like 30%+ dont it fellas?) mage gives 30% accuracy i dont know where your getting max hit from buddy.... nope. range gives a 10% damage boost. the only ranged damaged boost in the game, so quite special.
