  1. Jagex says no, but I mean honestly, even if they were, why should they say so? They want people to go out and play dungeoneering, not start racking up 104mil xp in every other skill in anticipation of levels being raised to 120 for other skills. That said, I doubt jagex will widely release level 120 as a new max, because most players, myself included, don't even have 104 mil xp Total.
  2. True, but tbh I'd rather not train it at 500xp/h right now, use peng points/TOG on it to get it to a more decent level, then train it at a more reasonable rate and I wouldn't be missing that many tokens in the grand scheme of things. If your goal is to get a certain item as fast as possible, then yeah, but you wouldn't be missing it due to the penguin points/TOG, you'd be missing it due to the fact that you're sacrificing many hours of potential token earning in order to start at a faster token earning rate. If you just took the total time you spent in the dungeons though, you'd get to X tokens much faster though. Also, I agree that this is more of a minigame than a skill, but that's for another thread ;)
  3. You can tell which gear is better by examining the items to tell their tier. edit: just checked Argonite is tier 7, katagon is tier 8 I'm not really sure which weapons are best. I'd assume rapiers since their basically like a whip, maybe even a little better (with prome/primal anyway), but certain monsters probably have slash/crush weakness, so rapiers might not be that great in the actual dungeon all the time. tbh I prefer the longsword, because you can equip a shield, but mauls are pretty powerful. the longsword is higher tier too though.
  4. I haven't worked it out, but since level 120 is only 104 mil, that means you can still get almost double that more experience in the skill, so there must be a reason they chose level 120 over say, level 110, 115, or 125 (I think level 126 is what you'd be with 200m xp). The most obvious conclusion is that with 104m xp you'll have enough tokens to get all the items from dungeoneering, but no, to obtain one of literally everything as yet available, you'd need to get approx 48m xp. I guess they'd plan for additional rewards in the future, but really, level 120 is just too arbitrary for me. Why break from the traditional format for no reason, especially if its not a jumping point for all skills max levels to be raised.
  5. Meh, its pretty fun I guess, but it seems like Jagex got tired of people not playing minigames so they decided to call it a skill :\
  6. For my kingdom, I put some on coal, some on fish, and some on maples. This isn't the most profit, but it gives me nests (nests useful for herblore, tree seeds for farming xp, maple logs for fm xp), the coal gives me supplies because I occasionally like to superheat and also gems for when I craft, and the fish gives me most of my profit, and I keep some fish for cooking xp and food to use if I need it. Sometimes I'll switch the coal over to herbs. I don't really do dailies aside from herb runs, but imo that isnt really a daily. I'll go to Zaff for battlestaves if I'm training crafting, but that's it really. Farming, for profit really snaps are best. Yeah if they die you'll take a temporary hit, but in the long run snaps are far more profitable than any other herb. I'd also recommend using supercompost for marigolds too. I used to use just regular compost, but they live so much more often with supercompost that the extra cash spent is worth it imo. For magic I would recommend using superheat and making mithril/steel bars. Steel bars are more magic/smithing xp, mithril bars are more profit. Superglass make is good as well, but only if you're good with mousekeys. I'm not, for some reason no matter what settings I use for mouskeys, my moniter, or even the size of the screen in RS, it always under/overshoots where I need it to go. For herblore, cleaning herbs requires careful checking of the GE for herb prices so you can buy/sell whenever you'll get a profit on the herbs. This makes it really not a very consistent method of getting xp, and because you can clean so many herbs in an hour, you're not likely to buy enough herbs to actually clean them for a whole hour on short notice. To maximise herblore xp and cash gained you really need to just have a lot of patience with this method, and supplement it with regular potion making. Fletching, stringing maples longs from maple long(u) until you can do yews, yews until magics. Stringing basically is break even, you might make a marginal amount of money per hour. Magics lose money though. I think stringing is faster than cutting, and cutting basically loses money once you get to yews. Also with stringing, you can string shortbows and still profit until magics, whereas with cutting you have to cut longbows. For cooking, if you have gaunts, start with lobs right away, then move to swordies at 81, otherwise do tuna until 74, and lobs until 86. Monkfish at 90 regardless of gaunts. Sharks at 94 if you have gaunts. Those are the no burn levels, you could start a level or two before if you wanted. For farming and herblore, what I personally do is farm the herb for the highest potion I can make, and occasionally throw in snap runs to pay for supercompost, seconds, and other things I may need. I sell back half the potions I make which usually gets me more than enough seeds back, and I get to keep some potions to use myself. Stealing Creation is worth it I think, if you plan on training crafting, smithing, or construction. Basically for skills you can "buy" SC tools will cut the cost of them in half.
  7. The living rock minerals seem to have a pretty unstable price, you probably could have gotten them for cheaper, but honestly you're so close to 90 and by the time the prices fall again and get close to bottoming out you're probably better off just keeping them.
  8. You could probably do barrows, but I'd recommend getting 70 range for black sally. You really can't solo any boss monsters that average 2+ mil per hour though until you get higher stats.
  9. Set your kingdom up to do 10 on coal and 5 on fish. You'll get quite a few gems. Rest you can make into regular gold ammys. They'll sell eventually since people use them for string amulet.
  10. So far in 1.25 hours 69-73 summoning (just using up random summon ingredients I had lol, I also had an offer for some more in GE, if it buys I might be able to get to 75-76 summon) 77-78 herblore (just herbs I'd farmed) 79-80 farming (planted some trees earlier this week, have one more tree run to go on, but my multiplier will prob only be 1.7 or 1.5 by then, so I MAY just get to 81) I also plan on doing some magic and smithing (by superheating) and hunter training. After my multipler gets down to 1.3 and 1.1, I'll just resume my normal play and do slayer lol. Maybe I might do some RC too, but I usually graahk natures, but CW will be so full that it'll be even more of a pain than usual.
  11. It's true they are a slow task, but you can get over 50k slayer xp from one task of them, so yes overall the task takes a longer time, but per hour xp is not necessarily lower. Also they are a rare assignment I've only ever had them twice (I've had more strykewyrm tasks than LRC tasks). Not worth blocking imo Whip+defender does fine. I've tried using crush weapons, didn't notice too big of a difference, then again my attack level is slightly higher than yours (at the time I was 92/93 att) Plus if you mine the minerals, you can add like 200-400k gp and a couple thousand mining xp per task
  12. I sat in my house for 45 minutes with no stone. I give up >:(
  13. Do more quests. Lots more. Also try moving up to Duradel, at least for just one task now, and every 10th task for the bonus points.
  14. I was watching lost on Hulu and got about 90k xp in an hour and half, so thats 60k an hour. I have a d hatchet too. Maybe you'd get more if you paid more attention, but I had sound on to tell when I stopped cutting, so its not like I was not chopping for any extended amount of time. I think where you chop ivy is more variable to experience, because some places like Varrock, are always crowded. Even when I pay attention cutting Ivy I've never gotten over 70k xp in an hour.
  15. The minimum hit FOR MELEE is definitely 1. I'm only assuming this because at Kuradals dungeon + Ferocious Ring, I never hit below 5 (well, except for 0's, but those are misses). If it were possible to hit 0 (not miss, which also shows up as 0 for melee), then the minimum hit would be 4 at Kuradals dungeon with the ferocious ring. I would say that this applies to ranged as well. I'm not sure about magic, because missing with magic results in a splash, but I've also landed a hit for 0 damage. This could mean either magic has to have 2 hit rolls (spell success, then hit success?), or it is possible to just do 0 damage with magic. The KB doesn't really offer any insight into this other than saying you can fail to cast the spell, which results in a splash. But that could still mean either there is a second hit roll to determine if you're spell hits the target, or that if the spell is successful then you do hit the target, but can just hit it for 0 damage. It could even mean both. Testing at Kuradal's dungeon+ferocious ring would likely resolve the issue of whether 0 is a hit or miss, but I've never used magic there, or seen anyone maging there. I would also say that you are more likely to hit for higher damage. I hit for 20+ a lot more than I hit for under 10.
  16. I would say pray + herb would be most useful if you came back due to soul split + extremes/overload Smithing/Con for the best 99 capes imo (I think you'd need SOME sc hammers to get to 99 in both anyway) Of course you could vary them up from any of the buyable skills. It might also be worth it to get to 67+ con to stew + crystal saw a gilded altar if you decide to do prayer. It's what I've done anyway, although tbh I don't train my prayer too much, but your own gilded altar is useful.
  17. I dislike spotty capes. I'm also not a fan of skillcapes in general, I really only like the color schemes of con/mining/smithing.
  18. I still like the default look of the whip most. Boosted xp looks interesting, but I'm more curious to know how long it lasts. Is it worth my while to waste time on 10 BA games over just training normally. the skills arent really buyable either, so saving some money isn't a benefit. Also, I really really really hope I get an abby demon task in the next few days.

    Link Changes a lot though
  20. I'd just do slayer personally, I can make money on most tasks, and the tasks I don't make money are usually really fast xp so it evens out imo Plus at higher level you can kill spiritual mages/abby demons which can give a nice amount of money on a task. I hardly ever camp anywhere, I get bored too easily, which is why I like slayer so much, it just tells me what to go kill. I got 4 dragon boots my last SM task and a whip my last Abby demon task :) Then I got 4 mauls off 2 gargoyle tasks.
  21. I used to pray because it was a pain to get to them at brimhaven, but with Kuradels dungeon it's a lot easier, so I actually just bring food and then bank the bones.
  22. I'm not exactly sure how much xp I got, but it seemed to be about 60k per hammer.

I've seen it worked out so that heavy rod is better if you can make 1 mil an hour (i'm not 100% sure on that though, just what I've seen posted before), or you'd like to get a decent chunk of agility xp instead of cash. otherwise I'd just fish monks, then cavefish, then rocktails.

Legends cape looks sweet imo. Also dragon sq's aren't all that great anymore, in fact, they never were. They were too rare when they were first introduced for anyone to buy aside from really insanely rich people (kinda like divine/ely ss now), and now there are a ton of better shields that are easily accessible too.
  25. I've only seen one patriach in 3 mining levels and 2 slayer tasks there, and it was pretty much just west of the bank deposit pulley. I've heard of more people killing patriarchs than I've seen though, so I don't think their actually that rare. And Jagex only updates for single players in the sense that if someone found a way to dupe again or another cheat they'd fix it obviously.
