  1. Runescape's randomness is perfectly fine. Most people who say it's not just are complaining because they don't understand the statistics behind the game or they just dislike the fact that they don't get everything handed to them on a golden platter.
  2. Farm snaps and mine/fish/rc in between runs. Personally I just do slayer, the average task is easily 250k+ profit.
  3. Farm snaps, rebuy seeds/supercompost, use profits to buy tree seeds.
  4. How can it not be Zezima (except for a long time ago, it was Bluerose13x) I mean, when Zezima was #1 everyone knew it and now I don't even know who's #1, and it seems in general like people don't care. Zezima was also first to all 99's at the time, not sure if he kept up with some of the newer skills.
  5. Fury is worth a lot because Onyx are a pain to get a hold of and it is the best overall amulet and if you look at other items that are somewhat rare and the best in their class, they are also worth a lot lot more than the second best items. Also, I got a fury for max before they jumped up over the past couple days. Woot. Think I'll keep it though, I don't expect it to fall back to previous prices unless Jagex makes it easier to get onyx.
  6. A lot of shops have real low, or even no stock of certain items now. This will probably be fixed in a future update, because with personalized shops, having 0 stock of an item makes little sense because the only way it will get stock is for you to sell it to the shop. Encouraging more players to sell their items to the shops may be the reason behind it, but it makes no sense since the only profit I've heard of selling to stores rather than on GE is buying logs, fletching, and selling unstrung bows to general stores for more than on the GE, but I'm not even sure if that's true or if it's really worth doing over other ways to make money.
  7. I only use super attack/str on annoying tasks like dragons (if I melee them), or mage based creatures, since I tend to get hit a lot by magic based attacks, so I use the pots to speed up the task to waste less food
  8. Herblore -Fastest: buy herbs/seconds for the highest potion you can (exclude ones with herbs/seconds that don't sell) -Cheapest- buy grimy herbs, clean, sell, make profit if you time your buying/selling -Middle- Tarromin and ash, make serum 501 Summoning -Fastest- Burst rock lobs, use crimsons and blues -Cheapest-Camp good gold charm droppers (fire giants are a good one) -Middle- Camp waterfiends, use the crimsons, then golds, save blues for higher levels. I guess summoning might be kinda hard for you with your stats though, but if you're tight on money and still want crimsons, scarabites drop a decent amount of crimsons and you can kill them at lower levels. Or just train slayer and let the charms come in as most slayer monsters drop a decent amount of charms.
  9. Range/halberd them from one of the safespots or protect melee It won't be fun or fast with your stats, but you can get it done easy enough
  10. It's pretty random, I didn't use that many tokens to get mine actually, mainly just because I got lucky with my 2-3 defender drops coming relatively quickly (5 kills or less), and the only one seeming to take real long was the rune.
  11. Super attack are fairly cheap, mainly because eye of newts are only like 80 each, but I think serum 501??? or whatever the tarromin+ash potion is technically cheapest gp per xp. However, you can't sell it or even withdraw it in notes so it'll take a while to drop/empty if you are making lots of them to powerlevel, or you basically lose one bank slot.
  12. Your mage is kinda low, but I'd say you could effectively use magic still, as the brothers have pitiful magic resistance, just use the highest damage spell you can instead of slayer dart.
  13. Back in rsc I powermined to 85 in at some iron rocks outside of ardougne near the clocktower. Other than that, I only really mined in the mining guild, and now I really only mine stars/rune
  14. 59 summoning. I only train it with Tears of Guthix, though, and sometimes penguin points when I remember to spy them.
  15. Not really, but for some quest lines I will. Most quest plots imo are just meh, but for instance, I like the Mourning's End quest line, and the Morytania questline
  16. This an mmorpg, there is no end game. People who get to 99 do it because they want a 99 and have a personality driven to achieve goals they set, not they want some uber awesome item. The people who complain about high level content usually are borderline what THEY consider high level and want some ridiculous item that makes some aspect of the game real easy. I never really hear people with 99's in a stat complain they got it for no reason. As I said, people who get to 99, or try for an even higher xp goal, don't do it for anything other than personal achievement. Adding an item for people at 99 won't make more people get to 99 either, unless it's in a relatively easy 99 to get to without much effort (aka can be semi-afk and/or lots of xp per hour) or money such as cooking or fletching. Jagex' idea of a high level is really what the average player usually gets to before they quit. By adding content to these target levels, they keep these players for longer. There's a lot more players in the range of level 70's in stats than in 90's. and most people with 90's have either paid Jagex there fair share, or will keep playing regardless of updates for some time more because that's just the type of personality they have. That said, Jagex should fill in some of the gaps, but in general high levels are the minority, so high level updates will be far and few between, but they do happen. Most high level updates get forgotten fast anyway because people just want the next biggest, fastest, and strongest item right away, like because Jagex had one high level content update, suddenly all of them will be. It really shocks me how ignorant people here are to the fact Jagex doesn't make Runescape for fun anymore, they're a full fledged business now
  17. Clues aren't free millions of gp, they are a fairly common drop, as in I average more than 1 clue per task if the monsters actually drop clues anyway, so of course most of the time the rewards aren't going to be amazing. Clues have been nerfed I think, but then again, there's a lot more items you can get now aside from just god armor. Regardless, I hope less people do clues, maybe it'll help raise the value of clue specific rares
  18. As he said irons are more common than steels. From all the tasks I've had, I probably would say the iron:steel ratio is about 3or 4 to 1.
  19. They should make a general 99 skillcape for f2p (would be available for p2p too), that just says like "99" on it or something. I don't care either way, that just seems like a reasonable way to give f2p a skillcape, but still keep the capes grounded in p2p.
  20. smithing- iron nails is slow, but break even depending on bar prices, faster with sc hammer, but then again, time needed to get the sc hammers might not be worth it. Cannonballs are slow as well, but make a profit. You could also superheat/just make bars at edge/port phas furnace Crafting- buy gold bars and make them into bracelets is slow, but makes some profit. Bracelets are slow to sell on the GE, but I managed to sell some a while back. You could also buy your own battlestaves everyday from Zaff, and the highest orb you can craft the staff into off the GE, and this makes a slight profit and a sizable xp chunk each week if you have at least the medium, preferably hard varrock diary finished. Herb- buy grimy herbs, clean, and sell the clean herbs. You need to time your purchases and sales though to make profit. Doing herb runs and making them into pots contributes as well. Construction-no way with 5 mil. All these ways are real slow, and usually its just more worth it to make the money in a faster way, then buy the fast way to level when going for a higher level, and especially 99.
  21. I had this problem. Basically in advance to going free again, I bought just about any f2p item I could think of that I'd need in pairs of at least 2 so I could withdraw 1 and still keep the space. but you are already f2p, so... I mean it's only 200k of stuff and no offense, that's like an hour or two of moneymaking at most, even f2p. Just keep wearing it until you get members again or drop it if you really need to, I would say alch it, but you can't alch members items on f2p anymore. and yes, you won't die skilling anymore, as randoms that attack you are all gone.
  22. Karils has like 30% more mage defense, so yeah, I'd say its loads better.
  23. Stick with slayer unless 85 is your final slayer goal Otherwise I'd go to PC, but mainly because I prefer PC to SW. I have no idea which is actually better xp, I doubt one is significantly better than the other though.
  24. Raw fish and coal make the most money consistently iirc Maples can get you some potentially higher pay offs if you get some good tree seeds, same for just getting pure seeds Flax once upon a time was the best money maker, but no longer.
  25. This happened to me once that I know of, only because the other guy was a [puncture] and tried to gloat in my face how he got the ore and I didn't, but I did.
