  1. I'd mine on world 2 or find some other world with a lot of people, only because it decreases the chances you'll be attacked. I've mined on w2 and other random worlds and didn't really notice a big difference in how long a rock lasted or took to respawn. I'd also mine gold, it's better xp and money per hour.
  2. Living Rock Caverns and Concentrated Gold have made gold mining super easy. I doubt gold will get back up to 500 except for maybe due to inflation
  3. I have 4 coal for my smithing/magic Another 4 on maples for nests/seeds The rest on raw fish for cooking and a little profit too Really I just adjust it to whatever I need atm. Pure profit is usually in raw fish and herblore/farming
  4. TBH I wish I hadn't done some quests. The less tasks it's possible to get, the higher the probability you'll get spiritual mages or abby demons (at higher levels), or some other task you like for some reason or another. Then again the only annoying task i can think of opened up by a quest is warped terrorbirds. Of all my blocked tasks only they were opened up by doing a quest. You get cave horrors too by a quest, and they're decent profit for low level slayers, but duradel doesn't assign them so meh.
  5. What they said about the elf things, plus to get access to the area you need to do Mourning's Endings quests, which concern a plague...
  6. I would guess it's because runes have risen which leads to 2 things. First is obviously the cost is higher for not just super glassmake, but all spells. Second is because cost of runes is higher, charging orbs is less profitable, demand for orbs is down, demand for glass is down, glass prices fall. Also updates like the vial packs, and making seaweed easier to get, could further decrease the demand for glass. That's just my guess though.
  7. Probably cutting magics after getting the evil tree autobank. You don't really have to worry about the tree being cut down if you're alone, and you don't have to worry about banking. I kinda afk mining at LRC too AFK slayer at dags is nice as well.
  8. Idk what it all averages out to, but generally certain tasks make lots more profit than others. Aberrant Spectres are very profitable, Spiritual Mages are decent because you usually get at least 1 d boot per task, Abby Demons give whips not too often but their price is high enough so that per task you should be getting a decent amount of money. They drop lots of high level herbs, adam bars, pure essence and rune chains too. Nechyraels drop a decent amount of death runes and usually a few pairs of rune boots/rune full per task. Gargoyles are pretty sketchy, I used to never get g mauls but over my last 5 gargoyle tasks I have 5 mauls and 2 mystic top drops. Dragon tasks give chance at visage and you can bank the bones/hides, and most other tasks drop alchables. In general every task gives some profit, especially with summona or duradel. Some tasks like kalphites and dags don't profit very much, and can even lose money if you cannon. Lots of tasks lose money when you cannon actually, except for ab spectres, but this also depends on your luck with drops. Then of course in the long run you can spend points on runes, which adds some potential gp per task. Slayer per hour is pretty bad for money, but you can get tasks that are good for more or camp at certain monsters.
  9. You could get to 99 mage while profiting by super heating, super glass make, charging orbs (air preferably), maybe camping at some monster with mage like iron dragons, since chances are you'd get enough drops to cover the runes and maybe a little extra. All those would be fairly slow xp though compared to the fastest methods. I'm not sure if 4 mil could get you to 99 using string amulet though, but I'd doubt it. You could get 99 range with 4 mil by buying cheap range gear and lots of ammo and camping at a ton of spaces. Yaks are most common, fire giants or anything else with low def that you can safespot could work too. Or you could buy tanking gear and go to aviansies. I'd probably recommend aviansies over anything else since they give decent xp and profit per hour, and if you get bored you can use the profits to buy some chins and chin at ape atoll for massive xp per hour. 99 construction with 4 mil... Even using SC hammers you wouldn't get close
  10. I like Slayer Some tasks are real good for cash, like Abby Demons, Spiritual Mages, and dragon tasks (chance of visage) Some tasks are fast xp like Dags, Kalphites Most tasks give decent charms Overall everything averages out I guess, but getting a new task gives you a chance to do farm runs, and killing different monsters breaks up some monotony.
  11. They do drop them, but very rarely. You could very well end up killing like 20k of them before you get a challenge scroll.
  12. Well, in my last 10 or so clues, the best I've gotten is 2 zammy pages, not in the same clue obviously. I'd guess you get a rare reward item about 1:20. Usually when I get a rare reward I notice I get a lot of puzzle boxes during the clue, but I can't say for sure that that guarantees a rare item. I've had a clue before with 3 puzzle boxes and the reward sucked.
  13. There's not really a close bank. But, you could bring an enchanted broom to tele to the sorceresses garden, then back out to Shantay's pass, take the magic carpet close to the granite. If you bring a lot of waterskins, you should be able to last a decent amount of time before you have to go back to bank. Plus Shantay sells full waterskins.
  14. So when people are like OLOLOL NUB UR LVL 3, they show off their 99's and make the other guy feel like a noob.
  15. Since becoming a CoC is ~over level 99 in terms of xp, assuming your averages are even high, I doubt the overall average would be lower than 13 mil xp. Maybe you should be able to get a cape similar to quest or skill capes. It'd be unique, useful (if it had the stats were around what they are for a trimmed skillcape or even a fire cap), and it seems appropriate.
  16. The price manipulation was the price cap, not this. To make up for the lack of infinite stock in shops and the price ceiling that effectively made vials unbuyable on the GE, jagex added vials into packs so you can buy your 1k vials in 1 click. I like it actually. Vials are easy to get and cheap. I mean, really, if you're seriously training herblore, you're going to buy unfinished potions, and if you're casually training, as long as you buy your 1k vials every once in a while, you'll have more then you'll ever need.
  17. I'd just power mine iron at piscatorius using CW to bank and familiar to tele. Might as well get it as fast as possible, and since you won't do granite... Also try to hunt for your own stars and then be the first to mine it, that way you get the bonus plus the higher xp from a higher layer. Not many stars are size 8 or 9 so I wouldn't be that worried about not being able to mine it.

Got a gargoyle task and got a granite maul and mystic top, then got an abby demon task which I'm doing now. Whip pl0x
  19. No autocast, but there are fire/water/earth/air staves Runes mainly came from shops, I think you can get laws from the magic guild shop As to making money without trading... Really there's no way to do this in either rsc or rs2. Mining or fishing would be the easiest ways to make money. You could fish on karamja (maybe cook the fish too) then sell to general store there.
  20. Link This guide has some good numbers. Cost of seconds and runes are probably low due to the inflation of basically everything.
  21. It's worth it for sure. I only put like 6 extra rune essence in it because I only have up to large pouch, and 6 is how many I usually have left over in my inventory after filling my pouches and making an extra bank for 1 essence isn't worth it.
  22. AZ's are probably the fastest without a loss, plus you get some charms too.
  23. lagatag replied to Wahsac's topic in Help and Advice
When rc first came out I mined my own essence mainly, but after I was able to make enough runes to earn back more then the cost of essence I just bought it. Now with the GE and regular/pure essence I would only mine it if you don't really have good money making stats and are p2p to mine pure essence to sell.
  24. I wouldn't do level 3 clues until you have all the quests required to finish them. Lots of clues for lvl 3 require you to get into an area that you have to have done a quest to enter.
  25. With abyss? About 1.5-2.5k an hour I'd say. Depends on how much you pay attention and how fast you can bank, and the pouches/familiar you use. I'd not recommend crafting laws through the abyss though, or even at all. Deaths are both more xp and more money per hour. At current prices though double cosmics are actually the best money/hour you can make runecrafting with your level.
