If the higher leveled materials were cheaper, wouldn't people just buy the higher leveled materials instead? Either this is caused by price manipulation, or by lots of new, lower-leveled players entering the game, assuming that WoW's leveling system works the same as RS's. In WoW, the low level items have a lot more uses, as professions can be "unlearned" (such as to switch blacksmithing for engineering, for example). This is opening up a whole different can of worms though, so I won't go into it. EDIT: And I said on some servers, not all of them. Items can't be normally traded between servers, so each one has it's own economy. :o

I think it's funny that some people here are saying that they are in the 8th stage. Not that they aren't, but claiming that you're in denial is pretty funny. Also, Erikson was a crackpot. No offense.

Gold farmers are a problem on every game. Increasing frequency of random events on level 3 accounts will just make more level 4 bots. Gold farmers and bots will always find a way around it. Wrong. Ever wonder where the money earned from the yews goes? Right into gold buyer's pockets. What do they buy in bulk, now that they can afford it, just to get some fletching or firemaking levels? Take a guess. Now that they can afford all these raw materials, they buy them like crazy and drive up the prices. Happens all the time. It's the reason why some WoW servers have low level materials (like copper bars) going for more money then some much higher leveled materials (like truesilver bars).

Things like construction (<3:) and the skill capes are very nice additions, and the updates that they are adding this month (like the things actually suggested by players, go figure) are also very good. I'm still kinda leaning towards my first comment though, as things like pest control and Pure essence aren't exactly the best updates and the New magic book (Lunars) and Defenders are nice but not really comparable to barrows, cw, whips, ect. I mean hey, if we would have had a few more good attitions I may have been forced to return :P It's also good to know my favorite pack of crackers haven't forgotten me. :lol: Autoers (and gold farmers) are also a HUGE problem on world of warcraft, just for the record.

I really win they don't add another skill, the current ones aren't even finished. (runecrafting?) ^^ Would be my suggestion if they HAD to add one.

Part of the fact is that these new players weren't here when the old "idols" were achieving the great feats and all they have to look up to is scammers and cheaters. Add on the fact that many of the new players are very young and can't see why buying gold or abusing a bug is so bad.

lol lol It was nerfed way before the slayer staff. Just look at the exp it gives in classic, compared to the exp it gives now in rs2. That nerf basically made the skill not used. There was a nerf that came a bit after the slayer staff, but that was only to undo the fact that the slayer staff made crumble useful again.

We have a weapon that is an animal who breathes fire after you shove tar down it's throat and you squeeze it. Doesn't get much more ridiculous then that.

This is what he means to clarify for everyone: If your normal strength bonus is +100, and a berserker ring gives you +4 strength, then with a berserker ring you will have +104 strength bonus, which is a 4% increase. That means that you will train 4% faster. 4 days is 96 hours, that is almost 100 hours. 4% of 100 hours is 4 hours. Therefore, you save 4 hours about every four days of straight training. Ah, gotcha. I just assumed that he just guessed a pretty random number, so I posted as such. Didn't occur to me that he would round up.

For things like strength, getting a max + is best, as you can clearly see the effects (greater max hits). :lol: Yup. My 10% was off of that he probably thought 4 hours was 10% of 4 days. (4:4)

A day is 24 hours. 10% of that is 2.4 hours. 2.4 * 4 = 4? Must be that "new maths" I've heard so much about.
