  1. I love cicadas. Nothing like relaxing outside on a summer evening listening to them chirp (if you can call it that) away.
  2. But Apple does have a big mindless consumer base. One day, Steve Jobs will flip a switch and all iPod/Apple users will overthrow their local governments and will start a new Jobs Empire. We must stop them now!
  3. No, there are plenty of programs out there that can sync with an ipod. MediaMonkey is the first to come to mind.
  4. Now there he goes confusing socialism with communism. Silly man. Also, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac make up about 50% of the secondary housing market (think the stock exchange of mortgages). As most know, they aren't doing so well, but the problem is if the two companies go under the housing sector will become worse than it already is. What the government is doing is in the best intrest of the economy to try to keep us from going into a recession.
  5. I actually liked the first nanos, but don't like any of the new ones they've created. However, this one will surely sell like hotcakes because of Apple's marketing team/mindless consumer drones.
  6. All I can say is that I will meet each and everyone of my daughter's dates with a crowbar in hand.

Lol your right i have no idea what i'm talking about... Strength? Like humping (hiking) a combat gear load of at least 100lbs for 10miles+ at a time without falling out. Or how about running with a full flak jacket and not just running. Or how about the other thousands of PT workouts the Marines do that pertain to strength and core strength? Nope, i know nothing about it. :) I mostly run and do crunches because thats whats tested by the Marine Corps. However in October they are switching to a combat fitness test, much more strength exercises involved. Short burst, strength type exercises and not long endurance ones. But running and crunches is not all i do. Running and crunches are only one part, you still have a whole set of table exercises. Go to Parris Island or Camp Lejeune...see how little i know about strength. :wall: I was thinking about starting a kind of ruck sack march (that's what it's called right?) excercise routine. Got any suggestions?
  8. The majority of those jobs/departments are money pits; they have no return. By legalizing and regulating, the government could turn make money through taxes instead losing money. I think it would make perfect economical sense to legalize.

I've seen a lot of good tatoos that have taken a few days to complete, so I don't really see the problem. Oh yeah, if that was your girlfriend's serious response, then I suggest becoming a free man again.
  10. What do you mean "Tobacco was never huge in cigarettes until the forties"? Tobacco cigarettes have been around since the 1800's... In fact, they were first mass produced in the very early 1900s using automated rolling machinery. Also, in the 1930s-50s smoking was considered very trendy and could help soothe the throat (among other things). On a small side note not to be continued, capitalism means a free market. A free market is controlled by producers and more importantly, consumers. If people didn't want cigarettes, they wouldn't have been so widely produced. Oh yeah, fun tobacco industry fact: Tobacco companies have recently increased production of cigarettes. Guess what growing market it's for. Hint: China
  11. Well in that case, alcohol is a food item commonly consumed with minimal effect. More importantly, a food item engrained into society as such. A lot of people drink just for taste, which is not something you could say for marijuana. In other words, alcohol has the interesting situation of being a food and drug while marijuana is a drug.
  12. I'm not trying to spread false info, but he did die from LSD. So, in this case, that story has a false bit in it maybe added to make a purposefully taken dose of LSD look like a mistake. I don't know, but sorry for the semi-false story. I didn't mean no harm. :( Well, there you go assuming I'm anti-weed. ;)
  13. I've known quite a few guys who have gotten marijuana laced with cocaine, LSD, PCP, you name it. All because no one regulates. Another reason to legalize. Once I got weed laced with PCP.... but the thing is, it was actually amazing. I guess I'm really lucky I didn't end up thinking I was a chicken or a goat or something. Most of the people were fine, but the guy who got the marijuana laced with LSD died. I forget exactly how, but I think it was suicide "technically". Probably not suicide under the influence of what he didn't realize was LSD. What's wrong with alcohol? :(

Not to be intrusive, but what disease? I dislike running, but I do enjoy going on long hikes. Actually, I was just looking it up, and I think it might be this: http://www.mda.org/disease/mpd.html Maybe I just self diagnosed myself  Hmm, interesting. I remember I had a disease of the knee (some german name I can't remember) when I was ~13 that caused pain whenever I put weight on it. Apparently, it was fairly common around that age, but I hardly remember anything around that time, so it wasn't that bad. Don't forget to talk to your doctor. ;)
  16. They just have an ominous aura about them. Not to mention how unpredictable their movement is. Where they gonna go? Under the table? In that crack? Or maybe... they're gonna getcha! :ohnoes: I guess I can see where you're comming from, especially with jumping spiders. I never know where those things are jumping to. The only times spiders scare/startle me is when I'm walking through the woods and one falls out of a tree onto me. Then I'm relieved because atleast it's not a tick.
  17. *My edits in bold* And on the pothead post, Kill_thomas got it right. Talking about psychedelics making you "think" and how that is "dangerous." That be pothead/drug user rhetoric.
  18. Why are so many people afraid of spiders? They're really quite fascinating and help control pest population, like mosquitos.
  19. I'm sorry, but you fit every stereotype I've ever had of a pothead. I do not mean to insult, but your arguments are the rhetoric of a pothead. Anywho, I hate the "Just say no" campaign that has pretty much existed since 1980 (Nancy Reagan). Hopefully, our next administration will focus less on scare tactics and more on education.

Two questions: Where can I find out my damage output? And are there any cheap damage modifiers you recommend?
  21. Ah, conspiracies, the hobby of bored, small town country folk. It doesn't help that they never have any scientific/factual backing either.

Only someone jealous of our superb underground fighting skills would say something like that. Weakling.

If you live in the US, which your location says, then there are lots of scooter dealerships everywhere these days. They're popping up everywhere and are the place to go for detailed information on scooters of price ranges $600-3000. New scooters you won't find for under $600. Be careful buying used ones. Buying used scooters/motorcycles is different than buying a used car. You don't want mileage higher than 20,000, unless you know for sure that it has been well-maintained. Scooters are better bought new, but motorcycles can be reliably bought used under 10,000 miles (which a lot of them are especially since people don't ride them that much). Hope that helps a little. And remember safety gear is well worth the money!
