Mithril Dragons
This is exactly why the original proposal of metagame forums featured a ban from them that would not otherwise affect the users account. Blatant stupidity and stubbornness are simply unwelcome and very detrimental for these sorts of discussions. Once you get off your high horse and actually bother to test/think about what you are saying, with the system of accuracy and damage rs has, ANY offensive bonus, assuming your accuracy is under 50%, adds the same amount to your total dps. Thus, an equal amount of strength bonus will ALWAYS be equal or better to the same amount of attack bonus, which is what enaid so politely tried to tell you. If you can't wrap your brain around this simple concept, i'd suggest not using the metagame forums to blatantly troll and call people wrong.

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
depends how early on it is in the floor if it's first few rooms you don't get lowers, it's Grooves/Ghosts/Mono if the Mono/Ghosts/Grooves are going into a corner you can usually ignore them (it's best to ignore ghosts if you can). they add 2-3 minutes to a floor 1% bonus rooms isn't worth the time taken. And the last floor i keyed had two one way ghosts at start(199 and 169) and a non-hex necro....32 mins... :wall: Yes, it is crazy. for the reasons of... Magic prayers don't increase damage. Magic needs runes, and you will only have good damage with fire surge, which takes 166 gp per cast. You wouldn't survive a whole floor on one csb charge. Magic accuracy isn't a problem on the monsters you should mage. Baxe+turmoil would have higher dps on most of the monsters, with neck/rapier/gaunts increasing that further. You can't kill mages or mage resistant monsters, meaning you will be useless on a large number of enemies. And to top if all off, it would be catastrophically stupid to consider having only one attack style. That's basically like dungeoneering with only one good arm. No one combat style is sufficient for dungeoneering, with melee being the best all rounder. You'd basically be the same as a <100 dg hex, who some keyers don't allow into their teams.

RuneScape Game Mechanics - How is damage calculated?
i know this is off topc, but your other spreadsheets are back? They have been back for a while now, just not these forums.

RuneScape Game Mechanics - How is damage calculated?
In all actuality, it's a 3 dice system, in which at first, attack and defense dices are rolled(having attack/defense max hit amount of dies) and if the attack roll is higher, the strength dice is rolled from 1 to strength max hit to determine the damage dealt. Not much use of this for dragon claws spec as it has some different mechanics for dealing damage than any other special weapon. All max hits are basically calculated based on the same equation but for the magic defense one, you just need some knowledge of the stacking for special effects.

making cannonballs
It's not that cannonballs aren't a good moneymaker, they aren't even a good afk moneymaker, thus why i mentioned better alternatives. Also, while afking, you will still have to pay attention to the game and thus can't focus completely on RL. If you used nex as a moneymaker, at 8m an hour, you could have 100% rl efficiency for 28 hours for every 1 hour of moneymaking, totaling a 96% rl efficiency, easily beating being tied to a computer for 29 hours.

making cannonballs
Well, what you basically learn from this thread is that if you can make over 280k an hour, you'd be better off making the money and smithing addy plates/buying cannonballs. That is not to say you should not do cannonballs, but to point out that it's a louzy method, which is a fact. As for moneymaking, even killing edgeville men is said to be over 300k an hour, and if you consider that you are level 95 slayer and basically maxed melee, most slayer monsters would make MUCH more than 280k an hour. If it's afk moneymaking you want, why not consider dark beasts, where you can basically afk for years, much moreso than cannonballs, hell, even frost dragons with cannon+ range with auto retal on would be much more than 2m an hour. It's just silly that you wouldn't consider any of this and have no understanding of opportunity cost when it comes to the game, fun or no fun.

making cannonballs
Don't bother, this guy is a rock and doesn't seem to listen to sound advice, and his original question has been answered anyway. If he wants to ''save money'', let the guy do it.
-
making cannonballs
It would only save money if you value your time at nothing(ie, are botting). Otherwise you'd be better off buying the cannonballs and using a decent moneymaker to make the money back, thus saving time and money.

sighted mage bow for uber cannon accuracy
It's not worth it. The 12 range attack bonus you could have over ccb+book is trivial and will not make a significant difference, but the suckyness of the bow is nontrivial. You would basically need a better compromise the two, and for ranged that would be karils or hcannon and for melee it would be rapier or cls.

16-May-2011 Lava Flow Mine
So it's crappy, not-very-afk xp and nothing boosts it? Inb4someone tells us you need over 200m mining xp for the set to be efficient. The set looks good, however, and the gilded pick is nice, too.

It does count for medals. As gromy bonyup said it, it's you+ a dgs rank(prob wing+, maybe keyer+) for medals.

16-May-2011 - The Ultimate Skilling Prowess Challenges of Win
eeeh... you couldn't be any more wrong. Only one of the challenges is really about efficiency(most average xp an hour) but that is ruined not being able to use reasonable xp boost items and a bag of tricks some may resort to using. Can you not use effigies? What exactly is a 'reasonable xp boost" exactly? varrock armor, ring of fire/flame gloves etc, basically stuff that takes little time to gain the use of but lasts as xp modifier forever. You can't use pre-stored xp.

I'm sorry to break your conspiracy theory bubble, but you are plain wrong. Binding a 2h is in NO WAY lying to dgs-ers, rather a precaution to make them better dungeoneers. Firstly, you don't have the data, and you basically don't know what you are talking about. Even grimy doesn't even have enough data to prove what you stupidly dropped out of your mouth, so until you can actually do anything about it(like stop wasting time on conspiracy theories and help test the subject), it's suggested to keep your mouth shut. I was the first person to pop up and say that disallowing baxe without csb is not reasonable, pointing to the graphs that the two weapons are basically the same for dungeoneering when considered without boosts. Now, there are two things to consider here- without csb, you have to melee alot of high def monsters, meaning 2h will be more useful, and secondly being that baxe is a specialty weapon and that it will ONLY be better if you learn to use it properly AND turmoil flash, it's not recommended for novice dungeoneers. Those people have enough on their plate already, and a simple 2h-csb switch won't kill them compared to what they should be doing with baxe. And secondly, how in the world would you come to the conclusion that prim 2h could be better when baxe when you just said prom is so much worse? the reality is that if you have strength and accuracy boosting gear and can turm switch very well, aswell as work together well as a team, baxe will be better, but based on your post it should already be given that prim 2h is crap aswell. Next time you make up fairytales, atleast be consistent. Long story short: Baxe isn't better than prom 2h until you are good yourself, and as such, the top brass of dgs has taken the responsibility of finding people that are suited to make the switch and then recommending them to do so. Overall, this practice is beneficial to us all.

Tip.It Times - 15th May 2011
I have never wanted trimmed comp and will never plan on getting it. My opinion goes only as far as normal maxed players do, and it's silly that although you may have completed basically everything(like TUBA or toad) they will likely not even consider the cape as it basically requires you to live inside cw for a year, whether you like it or not. No logical reason for it to be lowered? In that case you should have no logical reasoning against spending a year in any of the other minigames, as it would only make sense to become veteran at all minigames, not just one. On the other hand, if you consider minigames for their essential rewards(like most are represented), the cw req should not be more than a thousand games. Basically what it boils down to is that there is no logic in having people get 200m xp in cw but only 13m xp in all other minigames.

Tip.It Times - 15th May 2011
Don't really agree with the first article. The reasoning behind people finding trimmed comp ''too much'' has nothing to do with patience, and realistically, only one of the requirements for the trim have been greeted with dislike- not because it's too much, but because it's just not reasonable. 200M in a skill is a lot, and many would say too much, but it's reasonable in the sense that you've finally completed a skill and can no longer train it. 5k cw games, on the other hand, is just a pie-in-the-sky requirement- more than is reasonable to ask, but not even enough to get each and every cw award. 5k games is by no means too much, as some already have over 15k, but to ask it for a cape trim knowing that it will forever unbalance the requirements for it is silly.

93 summoning worth it?
summoning is not assistable(and only one of every effigy pairing skill is).

Dungeonsweepers (DGS) - Huge changes; read first post.
A platebody is only good in situations in which you absolutely have to tank ranged damage, but for running trough rooms, it really doesn't matter much. A platebody also severely limits your ability to pray, as those without one will use prayers as intended, praying range and melee as needed, while platebeards just use mage pray and still take considerable damage. For most situations where a plate is considered useful, it would actually be more beneficial to use advanced combat tactics to ignore damage completely, while platebeards never bother to learn these techniques and suffer for it. Rooms that are really rape enough would more than likely still need multiple people to finish, with or without a plate.

Contrary to popular belief, lowest hp level is beneficial for dungeoneering, thus the ideal level would be 10(9), not 99. The reasoning being that monster levels are calculated based on hp levels within the party, thus pures(primarily characters with high hp/combat ratio) will be alot less useful than main characters within dungeoneering.

Wielding Battleaxes and Longswords with two hands
Why? this is basically why we already have defenders, 2h swords and greataxes(mauls). Unnecessary and will never happen.

Full Completionist Cape Requirement List (Including Trim. Reqs)
8 minutes? abd 1 with curse boss, -20 mod and no derps= real fast floors. Skill puzzles slow floors down, and as the number and level of monsters is determined by the floor(or type, dno yet), without those hurdles, you just run trough floors. Also, i think the floor was 8:57, so that's actually considered 9 minutes.

Guide to efficient Frost dragon slaying.
Given that summoning is extremely easy to get to 68, i would suggest doing that before going. It will affect your profits significantly. Other than that, with low levels, ranging is suggested, and i would suggest a range setup with 80+ ranged.

Full Completionist Cape Requirement List (Including Trim. Reqs)
Yeah, really, i can't believe that isn't a requirement. It's certainly more meaningful than a random large number of cw games cape. As for the champs challenge, your luck will just average out in the end. It's really not a huge issue killing 500 of some monsters and 10k of others. I think the max i've seen of how many it takes for a scroll is 12k. Imps+lessers are now extremely easy to kill in the new resource dungeon.
