  1. Happens to me at bosses ALL the time. As soon as the keyer yells GGS boss i dc or something funny happens, and as soon as the boss is killed everything is fine.... Strange stuffs...i'm always so mad about it.
  2. You can enter 3 chats at a time: a normal friend chat and 2 clan chat: one of your clan and the other of some random clan you choose. You can enter DGS by entering from the random clan chat or by asking one of the leaders to invite you into the clan.
  3. Not that i'm not happy about tui getting a hex(and if anyone should have one, it's her), but yeah, even more reason for a dg slump
  4. Why must partyhats cost so much? If everyone could get one it would be better then some people going around "Oh I am special, I got a phat!". I didn't mean exactly that. So i will rephrase what i meant. That Hexhunter is rare should not affect the price, because it is not like a Phat or Torva. It's a item you use in Dungeoneering. At end of day it has no value for outside Dungeoneering. And so it should be buyable for relatively low price of tokens. Again 2M Tokens is absurd because again, if you Dung only to obtain items like Chaotic, it would not be worth it. And things could just remain the same. And yes Hexhunter is very hard to get and so on. But why not make it buyable for 200K-400K tokens, and that it being dropped by Soulgazer a bonus? And you could make it so that it requires 99 Slayer to use. Things are rare because there are different tiers of players out there and there needs to be content for everyone. At the same time that it wouldn't make sense for a store to sell nex equipment 10m per piece, while dropped by nex, 200k tokens for such an exclusive item doesn't make any sense, particularly as you need 100 dg before you can realistically get one. 2m tokens would actually mean that you have to make a sacrifice to get one, and with something like 1/50m dg xp droprate, wouldn't in any way be too much to ask. You obviously have a different sense for tokens being a low level dungeoneer, too. A 80-90 dg clan doesn't exist because the members would get 100+ dg too fast and quit dungeoneering, thus with a chaotic playerbase(excuse the pun :shades: ), the clan wouldn't be able to survive. This is even the case for 3bo where as alot of former greats have achieved 200m and the clan has got MUCH worse for it.
  5. For best fishing and magic xp you should combine both high and low alching, also.
  6. We do ask them how they found the clan chat - if it's from the clan hiscores we proceed to go to the weekly trivia/guidelines. Really, i don't think there are problems with non TIF'ers joining as alot of the people in the clan aren't hugely active posters for this community, but it is about their attitude that matters. If there is someone who genuinely wants to learn and get better but has only visited tif maybe once, there should be no problems.
  7. I was relatively sure my ban would be reversed as soon as i got it, so i don't think it mattered what happened later(it did for other people), however, i feel the system failed me in that it took 2 days to reverse the ban. If it would have taken atleast 1 day to discuss the ban it would have never happened.
  8. I don't think you quite grasp the notion of helping people. Firstly, DGS is meant to teach people to become great dungeoneers and go further than 100 dg, thus they don't cater for people looking to get chaotics/frosts as you can't teach people in such a short while and it would require alot of sacrifice from the keyers. As for what is wrong with your attitude, it's ok to make mistakes in a dungeon, we all do that, but what dgs is about is getting better, so if you make mistakes but show that you are willing to learn and get better, you won't have problems dging with dgs. Ofcource dgs is about efficiency, as if they weren't they might aswell solo dungeons, but it really isn't too much to ask to pay 100% attention for 30 minutes at a time- remember, particularly for lower levels, keyers are sacrificing their time by taking you instead of someone with 100 times the experience, so you should atleast show some respect.
  9. You've obviously got all the facts straight and know exactly what you are talking about. Kind of the problem we have these days... As for the forum, Thanks alot! The help is greatly appreciated and we'll try and do everything in our power to make it a success. The 2 H&A might become an issue, but we'll see how it goes.
  10. As long as you do damage to the monster it's ok for you to take the drop. Most likely, a soulgazer would be killed before someone can muster up a survivalist pot, so it's of limited use. I think Tui will be quite opposed to this new rule...
  11. This is exactly why i say 89 dg = go practice c1 thundy until you perfect it(on both sides). The start wait is just as long as it is for normal attacks, so you must wait for the time you would otherwise be running behind the pillar.
  12. All skilling must be done losslessly and there is very little skilling that is actually viable. Knowledge of where resources are gives a good team absolutely nothing, and if you note such things down, you lose time.
  13. For the first question all i know of is a program where you can put up key doors at: http://www.desolatecarnage.net/rs/dung.htm More often than not, having knowledge about resources would actually be detrimental to dungeoneering, so obviously they aren't mentioned. Don't think there is anything for the second question as i've never heard of such things being a problem.
  14. Thanks again. I think I'll switch to rocktails then. As far as the money portion goes; I know it's not a good moneymaker, but I always find just grinding xp for the sake of the xp to be near intolerable. For the same reason I don't powermine, ivy, etc. I just like to get a little something extra out of my training. Also, I know I could make more $ farming in the time I save, but I reeeeaaaaallllyyyy don't like farming, not enough patience, hence the movie watching while fishing thing. Ivy is actually the rocktails of woodcutting but as for the afking part, for me it really comes down to how much you actually like the game. Assuming you don't push yourself playing too much, the higher clicking intensity method, assuming it's feasible(unlike something like pickpocketing or fletching while woodcutting) is always alot more beneficial in the long run. I would only consider high afk methods if i really hated the skill and had other thing to do at the same time.
  15. neither c2 or barb fishing are afkable, but in my opinion, c2 is less of a grind. Rocktails is 500+% afkable. For info on c2 fishing, look for my guide in the general guides section(or grimys forums).
  16. Rocktails are around 40-45k xp an hour. Better(efficient) options would include barbarian fly fishing at around 75-90k xp an hour(depending on the methods used) and c2 fishing(80-100k xp an hour solo). Fishing for money is NEVER worth it.
  17. As i already said, both those items are xp based, which is a constant. Using a little bit of logic you could tell that both items last less while used together, but there is no advantage to using them together or not(other than being able to use dragon pick, which i don't think is a major difference for lower ores). If you are using juju mining potions, however, you'll use less if you use both items together.
  18. They don't stack but work at the same time. Both are xp based(there is a set amount of xp for which they will last, which is a constant(depends on level for horn)).
  19. Just for some conformation, the max for both conquest and high pc are quite similar, so it largely depends on what you like more. One problem with the conquest assumption is winning, which only one person can do, so it's atleast flawed in that sense. With a decent pc team, 100% wins is very much feasible. I would suggest normal pc with good teams(with pc specialized clans) and have one of your friends lose 250 rank for deflector(or do it for eachother).
  20. I'm sorry but on the word bogus i was just quoting one of the TIF administrators. Fair really sounds unbelievable to me considering they all took 1 second-2 hours to hand out, but 2 days to reverse- that is a HUGE deliberation difference and shows, atleast to me, that something is wrong.
  21. ALL THAT BODY ODOR@@@@ Uhh...gratz on the hex...i bet Andy wishes it was me that got it :ohnoes:
  22. The "sacrophagi" give str xp not thieving xp Oh, yeah, sorry, that is for chance at sceptre, but it's only worth it if you have to run past there anyway.
  23. <Mod edit> Quote Removed And yes, i do believe the moderation for metagame forums should be different from the general discussion, but not out of the hands of the current moderation. My original suggestion for moderation for the metagame forums was that those who started the idea vote for 4 moderators who should and 4 moderators who shouldn't have power of moderation on those forums, and most of that list should be adopted. The list would be remade each year.
  24. Oh, so you are not happy with people being selective about what they tell about bans? It's not us that do everything to keep the system as secret as possible, so i don't think it's fair for any of the admins to complain about it- people have been wanting a more open system for a while.
