  1. It's a very average task if you don't cannon them, but great for afking. Not great for effigies(because of high lp).
  2. I think that is a good analogy of looking at it for those that haven't experienced the magic(or normality) of free trade/real pking/staking.
  3. There is if you compile one.
  4. I think that comment refers to me so I'll take the courtesy to respond. RWT-measures work to some extent, on most RWT-sites you have to give your pass/pin in order to receive millions on your account. This is a step too far for some kids. Putting our accounts at more risk equals to being responsible to you? How exactly? Even the best virus scanners can't detect every keylogger and a bank pin is handy if the hacking-program isn't taking screenshots with every mouseclick. Being responsible is one thing, assuming that every person has a high knowledge of computer programs (like you probably do) is another. btw: if you feel the urge to 'mock' people and call them a sissy, can't you fulfill that urge on another forum? I just find it ironical that people claim they were hacked when in reality they trusted someone they shouldn't. If you don't learn the important lessons the easy way(being stripped of your pixel belongings), chances are you'll be stripped of something more dear because of it. People take good care with their internet bank accounts, why not do it in other areas?
  5. Yeah, even today i have friends who don't play anymore but make up to a thousand pounds from selling rs gp. The major reasons of free trade removal just don't apply when it obviously didn't work. I'm not even going to bother and mock the millionth 'sissy-scape' comment above of why free trade is bad, seriously, i thought people being responsible for their actions was a good thing.
  6. You might be right although i don't think many people will believe you without any numerical proof or atleast a video so we can see it for ourselves. I've personally done some of FFA corping and massing(even got an FFA divine) and it seems like corp has some unforeseen mechanics. For example, once i was ranging with divine and ruby bolts in a mass and i was the only person really getting hammered of the ~30 people there trough 5-6 kills, barely surviving with food/brews(before ovls) because of his magic attack. Therefore it might just be that they changed the mechanics oh how corp focuses on people and not accuracy(which would make sense as he used to spin 99% of the time instead of attacking).
  7. That's what i'm thinking. In the last 3 years, they've been working hard on getting completely new customers, which is all nice and all, but the the community has really suffered because of it(being more divided). This proposed update would surely get them alot of old customers back.
  8. But you are OK with the way the rare item economy works? Or the fact that pking(the main thing in scape until 07) is dead? Not to mention that jagex can still trace and ban people purposely giving away cash(like they did back when free trade was allowed). Another thing that alot of high level players miss is the thrill of staking, which would also be a major boost.
  9. First, there is a point that corp isn't very popular(for different reasons, some of them named on the thread). Secondly, as we are talking about accuracy, we would also need a credible account for the accuracy before this proposed change, which, unfortunately, we don't have, thus even if other people tried to somehow test this, it still wouldn't confirm much. You might be able to draw parallels by counting the accuracy on a corp solo vid with the same gear, then comparing it to the accuracy you've experienced, but otherwise it's just speculation(and i'm not saying i don't believe you, there is, afterall, a logical reasoning for this proposed change).
  10. Free trade has been gone for 3 years, people don't know what they are talking about. They also have no economic knowledge of stock markets and dream of one day becoming a rapist(it's not like they will be 'laid off', per se, when the economy gets tough) . Just a theory
  11. Errm, no, that was 2005, 5 years ago  Umm...what? No, that's about 2 years ago. Yeah, i'm obviously detesting his timestamp in the picture. good thinking.
  12. Yeah, that sounds about right.
  13. I think jagex just likes to continuously big bang everything trough the years. They've already done all of the things that constitute a 'big bang' atleast 2-5 times for every skill.
  14. Errm, no, that was 2005, 5 years ago
  15. As the list is only for maxed players i wouldn't think there would be much of a f2p list(some 10 players, maybe). For f2p, old-school newschool wouldn't have that much of a difference, but everyone who has maxed all skills and then trained easy skills would have a major advantage(the hard part is maxing in the first place), thus it would look alot more like the top xp list for f2p than it does for p2p.
  16. Not as bad as 16 pages and no proof, i would say. <_<
  17. But you see, because of all the ridiculous accuracy boosts being crammed in trough every hole, even dagannoth supremes are chickens, nowadays(they also drop feathers, i think).
  18. I don't think anybody is arguing that rapier is more accurate, but because it's very close in accuracy for most cases(because of how accuracy works), rapier is also much better in most cases. The addition of damage soaking and dragon defender both make rapier slightly better than it was before in comparison with cls.
  19. Wow... I have no words to bestow upon you that will help you... You are far too damaged. :| Yeah...very funny. Sounds just like you haven't played much when free trade was allowed. Firstly, rwt-ing is already more than easy, with numerous bugs that allow you to transfer cash easily(the funniest one i've used was the morrigan's spear 16k unpoisoned, 56k poisoned), and as botting is just as much of a factor nowadays as it was before free trade, this wouldn't change much. Secondly, the problem with wildy is that there is no logical reason to use your best gear knowing you'll get scrubs when you down someone for 1b. The current wildy system really wants everyone to welfare and trade kills, which is pathetic. The chiristmas present analogy is just terrible as it doesn't at all reflect on the system- It's more like when you expect to get a car, you get a mound of dog dirt, and occasionally, when you are taking your morning dump, you lay a golden egg. Adding this new system would also propose a penalty just as bad as stat resetting- having your free trade/wilderness rights taken away would be brutal.
  20. Would you care and enlighten us how the removal of free trade and wilderness(mostly) made the game better? Ofcource they are doing it to get players back, but if it's a thing the players want, isn't that a just goal?
  21. Another great reason why it would be great if it were implemented as rumored is that no serious player would ever risk botting and lose their eligibility to pk and trade. This would easily reduce botting in addition to being very popular among alot of players.
  22. Same, but if it is true, it's the best thing i've heard about in runescape since....forever. I'd welcome wildy and free trade with open arms(and would likely start playing more actively).
  23. I am fed up with people calling it a demo so they should not update it, the demo is suppose to be a taster of the game, so if the demo was rubbish then no one would pay for the real version, would they? Ok f2p shouldnt get many updates, but something as basic as the combat triangle needs to be fixed. Next time use your brain and logic before you sya something like that Realistically, as jagex is a company looking for profit(and we can clearly see that from the recent botting scandal), f2p is a demo and though they still do get a few updates, f2p is very low priority for them in terms of updates, and fixing the combat triangle is even further down the list(and realistically, it's stupid to complain about a broken system instead of adapting to it). If p2p hasn't had a balanced combat triangle(realistically, it's never really existed), f2p can only dream about it. If you want updates, you've got to pay for them.
  24. But then again, if any of these top players was really rich and didn't have their fortunes in street price items(for the lack of street trading), they could still hold their cash in the ge slots(up to 8 max piles) or buy a load of alch price items(dragon skirts, dragon medium helmets) and be on the top of that list. 4b just seems like an awfully low number of coins for the richest maxed player.
  25. ssh. Just don't let golvellius know about this, otherwise he will think he is not as great as everyone thinks he is.
