Oh yeah, titans are 12 hp/minute compared to the 8 hp/minute of bunyips. the little extra won't make much of a difference for any slayer tasks except maybe mith dragons, or possibly a few others.

The best thing to do when I was making them was to make moss titans(4 more shards, but the talisman is much cheaper), and then sell those(which were worth more at the time) and buy fire titans which last 2 minutes less than ice titans, give magic xp, and were the cheapest. The scroll heals 8 HP, boosts your defence 12 or so, and uses 1/3 of the bar if I remmber right. I really didn't notice a difference in their accuracy, but I would suggest using talon beasts or something else in combat, the titans are too expensive to waste like that in my opinion.
  3. The bandos plate has higher range defense, if I remember right. So it would be better for soloing.
  4. I made a dramen staff down there, range is not allowed or fletching materials are not allowed or something I think...that was a while ago.

True but it IS harder, and there is less chance of a good reward. Also, you can't get as many kills per trip.
  6. Accurate/rapid on a crystal bow is about 3 squares shorter than long range on a rune crossbow if I remember right, and I have not tested kril on task, but I would assume that the strength and accuracy boosts would increase you performance with both weapons equally.
  7. true, but Whip+Defender=beatsWhip+DFS, so neither is a good thing to buy. Unless the sword in question is a SGS which is just plain awesome as a spec weapon.

Technically the fisher king's realm or somewhere on karamja with whistles and dueling rings is the "best," but I personally preferr the Arzinian mines.
  9. The 4 in the chaos tunnels have the normal demon model differences aka long horn+purple eyes, green tongue+no horns, short [bleep]y horns,....and there's one more I think, but whatever.
  10. Agreed, if you are asking it shows that you really don't *need* either. I personally see no use whatsoever in a DFS except at Sara, but I'd suggest that you invest that money towards the level to use ponies. If you you're training slayer, a BGS spec is almost completely worthless as it will only effect 1 monster every five minutes, godswords are horrible for normal training, and a DFS as I said before is really not that great in maby cases...except for meleeing dragons. Definately get a rune defender, and maybe bandos armour. I personally use veracs because I piety flash on tasks, but once I get lazy enough I'll just use the armour. If you were wondering about anything other than normal training/slayer than tell us what it is and maybe we can help more.
  11. Unless you have 99 strength, the tiny increase in speed(which is not consistant) is definately not worth sacrificing strength training. I recently bought a spear for the new beast and tested the two a lot more thoroughly, sometimes you get more kills/5 minutes with the sword, sometimes with the spear, with the spear averaging ahead by 1.2 or something similar if I remember right. [hide=][/hide] i myself am working on 90 melee's..i have 91 str, and needed 2 more lvls in att n def for 90's...i tried z spear, there same speed, it think..but the accuracy of z spear beats the slightly higher str of ss, hitting 1 higher max damage every so often or hitting to more 20, instead of a 0.... If the difference was that noticable then a spear would be the obvious best choice but... it's not...I don't remember him telling how much he was willing to spend, so we don't even know if a sword is a possible option.

I'm not sure if there is an "unofficial" world for that, because having other people there does not really effect your training at all. I usually just use world 99, though. there are usually a few people there.
  13. its the same rate if your killing the ones with the right animation. (40% crimson rate) Not sure what you mean there... definately kill the chaos tunnel ones, the safespot is stupidly easy to use, and even if they do get a hit on you every once in a while you can probably just ehal that away naturally or maybe use their occasional lobster drops.

Prayer is required to kill zamorak mages, because they are only inside the zamorak area away from anything to attack. Sacrificing food spaces for prayer potions would be a bad idea.

I would suggest even 90 in melee stats and at least like 85 magic for kril. It is MUCH harder than bandos soloing, and not worth it at all in my opinion.

  17. What he said, but use a defender for slayer. If the only one of the swords that you can afford is a bgs, then the only reason to get one is if you go to bandos or zammy GWD a lot, in my opinion. If you have a bit mroe to spend, then grab a sgs, all the cool kids are doing it. A whip/sara sword are better training weapons by FAR. I've actually started making a point to attack monsters near people exclusively using godswords just to demonstrate how horrible they are, it's not very nice but...whatever.
  18. How so? Training strength with a saradomin sword would surely not gain you as much xp/hr as using a whip/defender. Training controlled gives 1.333xp/damage, which rounds up to 4xp/damage. Just interested :P You get defense experience faster at 99 attack and strength than you do at 90 attack and strength, and I'm pretty sure that experience values don't round(or at least not to whole numbers) because I know that at least summoning and prayer don't.
  19. Training from 90 to 99 attack with a whip, 90 to 99 strength with a sara sword, and then 90 to 99 defense with a whip would be faster than 90 to 99 in all stats on controlled with a whip, which exposes the generally failure of controlled training.
  20. Normal metal bolts can't be poisoned actually, if I remember right. Arrows, darts, and a few other weapons can, though
  21. I'd say at around level 60, just like i did the other time that you asked :
  22. I would say that the "best" would be one of two alternatives... ++Piety Method +Equipped -neitznot helm(or slayer hat on task) -fury -monk top(karils if you notice that you're taking too much damage) -monk bottom -d boots -wealth ring -sara sword -your best cape +Inventory -home tab -holy wrench -bunyip or pony scrolls -sgs for special attacks -1 pure set( 4 dose super attack and strength) -10 prayer potions(12 with karils top) -games necklace(deposit at the box) -bunyip or pony pouch +Method -Run in with magic prayer until you get to the fiends and they start hitting you, switch on piety and range protect prayer. Make sure your weapon is set to crush, and hack away until they're dead. Switch to your special attack weapon when you can and don't have full hp or prayer. Switch off range prayer to use up the food that they drop(if you don't need it). ++Karils Method +Equipped -neitznot helm(or slayer hat on task) -fury -karils top -karils bottom -d boots -wealth ring -sara sword -your best cape +Inventory -home tab -holy wrench -bunyip or pony scrolls -sgs for special attacks -2 pure set(8 dose super attack and strength) -8 prayer potions -games necklace(deposit at the box) -bunyip or pony pouch +Method -Run in with magic prayer until you get to the fiends and they start hitting you, switch on range protect prayer. Make sure your weapon is set to crush, and hack away until they're dead. Switch to your special attack weapon when you can and don't have full hp or prayer. Switch off range prayer to use up the food that they drop(if you don't need it). The piety method is faster but slightly less profit, and it is necessary to bank more often. Your overal speed increases noticably, though. I personally have not tried going without range protect prayer on, so I wouldn't know about that. I'm sure that I missed some things, but I typed this before you posted your stats, resources, etc, so...whatever. EDIT: Now that I've seen your levels, the piety method is obviously impossible, and you would have an extremely tough time lasting long at all or doing damage effectively. If you have them as a task...good luck, if you're just there for charms, I'd strongly suggest that you use a different monster.
  23. I as a measly 125 fended off a 137's attacks multiple times somehow...tactics>levels. Fight for your loots!
  24. Magic protection prayer does help decrease fire damage. The fix was stopping the prayer from completely blockign it off, if i remember right.
  25. wioneo replied to mackish's topic in Help and Advice
Exactly, just throw on piety if you can't get the sup kills fast enough, and if you can't then it's not worth doing in my opinion.
