It's really hard to say fo' sho' exactly what's going to happen. All we can do is speculate. Here are various opinions: 1) Rare prices will down because it is harder for merchanters to manipulate short-term prices. 2) Rare prices will go up because the owners of small supply can inflate prices. 3) GE is seller-favored and prices go up (see my post). 4) Prices go up because noobs will no longer sell for cheap. 5) Prices go down if there ever is an influx of additional supply. It's debatable.

Merching will now take advantage of fears (price manipulating) than taking advantage of impatience (buy and sell).

There's much speculation going on with the Grand Exchange, and here's some (educated) guessing that I'm adding to the mix: (Read KB to see if this makes sense) From what I understand of the BTS article, you submit an item and selling price. It says nothing about making offers to buy things. So it isn't like trading stocks online, where you have a buy order side and sell order side; the GE may only reflect selling and not buying. What does this mean? - Prices on the GE will reflect selling prices and not buying prices, meaning prices will be inflated (although degree of inflation depends on current supply; obviously flax won't go up much due to this inflation) - There will be more information available regarding sellers than information regarding buyers; sellers would generally have the upper hand in sales because buyers don't know what other buyers are offering. - Sellers who offer low prices will be taken up quickly, so most of the prices you see on the GE will reflect the higher end of seller's offers. Barrows prices will rise because sellers no longer have to push down prices to desperately get the cash they want, and people will still be willing to buy them at those prices. Commodity prices will stabilize. No more arbitrage across servers. Godsword prices will go up due to merchanters. DBone prices plummet... there will be so many bot sellers of those. TT items will more likely raise in price.

This is better fit for something along the lines of 10M or 100M, and there are already posts about that :P But with 1M, I would spend it all on DBones on my way to 70 Prayer.

But let's not forget that Jagex is a company as well. It needs ways to expand, and sometimes they have to sacrifice things to get there - in this case it's the maturity of the game. In those terms, Jagex essentially sacrificed long-term things (tone of the game) for short-term (influx of players). Also, RS appeals much more to younger kids than older people, so it makes sense for Jagex to market that way. All in all, you learn to deal. There's always a mature group of players out there, you just gotta find em.

At first I was gonna rant out and deem this a worthless post, but after some consideration, I realize you've definitely brought up a good point and I like the way you think. It's easy to label things online because they dont "exist". When you interact with real people, it's a lot harder to say "narb, go hop servers pl0x" But I think the main point is that, even though this is trite, how you treat other people and view other people is exactly how you will end up being treated. Those "non-noobs" that label others as "noobs" really aren't doing much other than inflating their "egos", and are doing something detrimental to themselves. Smart and mature people realize this. Although "noobs" may bother them, they would never go out and provoke an argument. The fact that some people get mad so easily just reflects the immaturity of RS players across all classes, even though higher levels tend less to do this sort of thing. Hope that helps.

If sara brews were cheap, as other people said - youd be able to cheaply store lots of food ("food", mind you) in your invent, thus increasing training time, time for monster killing, etc. etc. etc. Also keep in mind sara brew effects can be cured with regular restores, so that point on "limited effect" may not apply. I like sara brews the way they are. 1K for 16HP isn't too bad a deal, esp. if i can fit 64HP/slot.

Armadyl: For PKing. Bandos: For monster hunting and (some) PvP. Zamorak: For melee monster hunting (farcasting melee - freeze them, run, attack, run again), (some) PvP, castle wars. I've tested Bandos and Zamorak and IMO it's a waste of 40M that you could have bought 99 range with or something.

Can you guys also post trip length so I can get a sense of cash/hr? Thanks

I've been training for the same goal (99 Hp untrimmed) for quite a long time. Other than that, I do whatever I feel like, mostly just for fun and not levels/cash.

Just cause he doesn't use Guthan doesn't mean he's poor. I don't use Guthan... Bandos is nowhere near Barrows defense. You're sacrificing ~30 slash defense for 4 strength bonus.

For all of those saying you like Guthans -- I sold off my set at 6.8M, haven't bought it. Granted, I am rich, but I just never used it outside of training (and I use BTP tabs anyway), and would rather spend it on a second fury or something.
