  1. 91 nature crafters with big runner businesses actually made upwards of 3m/hour, but that's beside the point. I agree that providing runners around 1-1.1m/hour will be required, and we've also done math and found that to be a reasonable cost for high level players. I am not sure what you are trying to argue right now.
  2. Pulli, if you're going to claim law runners made the equivalent of 5m/hour, you're insane. It was never something any high level would be caught dead doing, because it was only for low levels. Conversely, if there was a way to make 5m/hour guaranteed, today, you'd probably see me there. Law runners made MAYBE the modern equivalent of 1-1.2m/hour. Maybe.
  3. Ehh, probably not that high. At 60k a cycle (about 1.7 million an hour for runners!), you'd be spending about 130 GP an experience point, which is like 1.3 billion GP to 99 from 80 something. For such a slow skill, when your income consists of soloing TDs with a steel titan and all the max stuff and flipping with over 2b, that sounds about right. Of course, I doubt that'll become the norm, but the point is that there are people with a high enough income/cashpiles for that to make sense.
  4. I doubt people who only make 2m an hour will be the ones using this, though. I make double that at TDs, meaning I could afford to break even at a wage of 1.4m/hr for runners, which is damn decent. That said, the people doing this will probably be richer than me. We're talking bigtime merchers who can throw away 500m on 99 rc no problem just to have the cape. They might end up paying runners upwards of 60k a cycle, which is quite a profit.
  5. We can already do a 1 hit KO with chaotic maul first hit + granite maul specs. This is nothing new, and overloads are far from the only thing that can cause it. If you want 1-hitting gone from PvP, you'll have to take out chaotics, Korasi's, and claws. Simple as that. But PKers don't like that because they can actually get those items.
  6. Ahh, alright, that might make the whole thing more feasible. That also removes the variability of the runes crafted (which I was just about to bring up), and allows for lower level crafters a chance to compete with higher leveled ones. Now, what would the rates have to be to appeal to prospective runners? EDIT: Actually, you could use a regular BoB to hold your crafted runes between each trade and exchange 26 essence each time. But then you'd have to trade to your BoB AND a runner every time, which wastes even MORE time. The point here is speed. A big loss of speed in ZMI crafting is dealing with all those extra runes you make- we're eliminating that here by simply leaving them in the crafter's inventory. That way people can just keep on constantly trading and nobody has to deal with banking runes. Another advantage to the 13 ess thing is that runners with access to an abyssal familiar and/or a few pouches can easily do a few trades a run without payment becoming more complicated.
  7. This argument is why I said in the post you'd just leave the runes in your inventory. Then you could trade a runner a few times for 13 ess each trade. More trades, sure, but they'd be done extremely quickly. Runner puts up ess, you put up cash, craft, repeat.
  8. Both. Why is it acceptable for some requirements to be allowed and not others? Here, I'll answer that for you: "requirements I am not too lazy to obtain are acceptable."
  9. To name a few: juju gumbo barrows and other RFD gloves Korasi's sword Chaotic weapons Arc stream Dungeoneering shields Curse book Rigour Augury Dragon dagger Dragon longsword Dragon scimitar Neitiznot helm Should I go on? Each one of those things require skilling to attain, and yet are somehow allowed in PvP. Herblore is singled out simply because it's harder to get, so lazy, poor PKers decide they want them gone. If you want a game where you can just log in and kill people day 1, choose something that's not an RPG, idiots. Quests =/= skilling/spending 120M. It really isn't. I'm not exactly sure how you can compare lost city and 92 herblore The skill isn't just harder, it's i don't know....not a quest? Dung rewards were already explained, the prayers are about the only thing similar, but it's nothing compared to the pots. Quests require skill levels. Derp hurp.

  11. You can lose dung rewards. Dung is functionally a minigame reward, on the same level of void. It's not a constant advantage like the ability to use ovl/ext. Yeh but if it drops....can I see it/pick it up? No. Constant advantage? Since when is herblore a constant advantage....potions need to be made and potions wear out ofter a while, also if you die you risk losing your potions. Yeh you can make new pots....yeh you can get another weapon in deamonheim. Plz note, I do not have a side in this, just seeing if someone can come with legit reasons in this discussion. Legit reasons for extremes to be allowed: -Every single other skill-based advantage in the game is allowed -Encourages skilling and experiencing more of the game Legit reasons for extremes to be banned: -BAWW I CANT MAKE THEM :(
  12. This. I cannot believe how goddamn stupid MMG is. I want him gone so badly.
  13. And the crafters will be willing to pay more, for the exact same reason runners will expect more payment. Woo economics!
  14. abyss is your best option atm, you could try graahking natures. Personally, I would wait for free trade to come back and hope people will want to law run. The only way people will be law running in this economy is if the crafter is taking a significant loss, so I wouldn't bank on that. WAY too many high levels looking to power 99 runecrafting.
  15. Post your stats, including prayer and summoning, or we have no idea.
  16. If you find yourself avoiding slayer because you're sick of them, it might be better to block them, but man they're fantastic exp and effigies. You'd really be missing out blocking them, they're one of the best tasks.
  17. There's a difference between overrated and difficult, you know. If you're capable of doing it without getting hit by his melee, it's free health that can and often does make that difference between brewing down and being able to finish the kill. Not sure how that's overrated.
  18. I hope they'll make Coinshare-splits based on the highest bid in the GE at that specific time. for example, player A has an offer for a set of D claws for 30m, then group B with 3 players will get splits of 30/3 = 10m each when killing a demon that carries a set of claws. However, if player A is offering 33m, then the same group would receive splits of 33/3 = 11m instead. Would be a doable solution, IMO. *sells claws for 30m in ge* *is on four hour buying/selling limit* *puts in offer for buying claws at 200M* Gl all people who CS claws. Too easily manipulated. Are you being dense on purpose or do you just have no problem solving ability? Obviously it would have to be a trade that can actually complete...
  19. You would trade all your runes plus your cash payment for a full inventory of essence, you wouldn't keep 14 stacks. So it would be 26 essence per run probably to allow runners tele runes. This. 1 minute trips of (59?) ess per trip would be the same as trading 4 people a minute 14 ess, essentially. Runners wouldn't be any faster than going solo unless you're trading the runes you get to free invy space for more ess crafted per trade. I disagree- putting up all the runes would take forever. It would be a lot faster to do two or three trades of 13 ess per person than sit there offering 7-14 piles of runes every trade.
  20. To get the max you need to do it every day, but for a lot less annoyance and a little less cash, you can leave it several days at a time. It's not the end of the world if it uses 99-95% approval some of the time.
  21. Now that Golvellius has condemned it, we know for sure it's effective, since Golvellius is unerringly wrong about everything.
  22. There ya go :P I've done like 500 seeds since juju pots came out, so I'm pretty sure about my ~9.5.
  23. This whole discussion is silly because somebody actually concerned with doing this properly would be bringing a neit and right clicking the portal in the dust devil room.
  24. I don't think it's quite worth it, but it's probably close enough to breaking even to be worth doing if you want the variety or already need to catch a few different types for ingredients.
  25. no no no, Bob has a longsword, which is obviously longer then a rapier, so Bob has the bigger penis. It's also been scientifically proven that a longsword gets you more chicks, quicker then a rapier. If you spend a large amount of time picking up girls in runescape, you should get the longsword, as the time saved getting girls will make up for the slower boss kills. Finally a viable reason to get a longsword!
