ROW
You do not ever want to wear a ring of wealth even over a Lumbridge ring. ring of wealth>ring of life>clay ring thing>Lumbridge ring>warrior>diamond(i)>dragonstone(i)>onyx(i)>zerker>zerker(i), for general use.

Try to sell it for lowest while there is a lowest artificially inflating prices, and then buy it as soon as you can when trade restrictions are gone, and watch it recover. Timing is important here- if you want too long to buy it back you will likely miss the boat, because prices will move fast when they aren't tied to the GE. Though they might recrash again a little later and give you another chance to buy cheap, but then that's treating the free trade economy like the restricted one would be expected to work, and I'm not sure whether that's valid or not.

Yeah jeez, what a weird system it would be if higher level accounts were superior to low level accounts. Never heard of an RPG like that before.

...Cool story, bro? I'm not sure what my quote and your picture have in common besides both involving pumpkins.

Well either way they will both be useless when free trade comes back. The only demand for unweildable rares will be the collectors, whereas at the moment it is largely the merchanters. I predict there to be a much smaller demand and a drop in price of Pumps, Half Wines, Easters, and disks. Crackers are something entirely different. Partyhats and other high demand items will be bought with gold, thus there is no reason to own a pumpkin. To the guy buying the disk: you can do what you want, but once free trade is back nobody is going to want your item because they are all wanting to get rid of theres. What, merchants have no use for rare, restricted availability items now? There'll be a panic, but there's no reason for them to stay down permanently. Unwearables were used to buy partyhats because they had street, not the other way around. Partyhats, of course, are and will continue to be much more expensive.

Pumpkin is rarer I thought.. Why on earth would pumpkin be rarer? Pumpkin was released as exactly what it was- a once ever drop of a cool little Halloween treat. It was clearly a cool item for pack rats to hang on to if they were into that sort of thing, an obvious collector's item. Disk was a pointless, stupid item nobody had any reason to ever stock up on besides random collecting, and it was taken out of the game suddenly. Like half wine, there was nothing remarkable or interesting about it until suddenly you just couldn't get them anymore. I firmly believe pumpkin is only more valuable because it's more manipulated, and disks will some day overtake them.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
Good point. Yeah, my analysis was strictly against the boss.

Works. Only gives the initial turmoil boost though, which is annoying. It also doesn't work with berserker prayer if you happen to have gotten your hands on a melee potion. The problem with this is that it can't be lossless. You can flash turmoil/SS individually forever if you kept the right timing, but turmoil and SS take effect at different times. The damage is actually calculated the moment BEFORE you swing your weapon. The same is true of deflect curses: if you activate them while a monster is swinging their weapon, you could potentially take damage, so you need to activate it a tick before. Soul Split is actually a rarity among prayers/curses in that it takes effect during the attack animation. So if you tried to flick them both together using quickpray, you would either lose prayer points or not get the effect of one of them. Better to lose the tiny amount of prayer and get the damage boost imo.

My soul split flashing is always lossless ;) It helps save an enormous amount of food if you are soul splitting the equivalent of a salve eel every gd. It also helps in Slayer because I don't have to bring prayer potions to Ice Strykewyrm tasks :D Turmoil not so much, but forgotten mages don't have a lot of health, so you can just do it for 2-3 combat rounds and power through. Forgot to mention the second point. I agree. sorry i meant turmoil flick only. i ss flick whenever i'm not keying and need food - my timing isn't good enough to be lossless but it's still worth it. AFAIK quickprayer has a very small lag in activation, clicking the actual prayer is better It does have a small lag, but adjusting for lag is already part of learning to prayer flash. It's no harder than prayer flashing normally, you just adjust the timing to account for the lag.

Oh don't worry, I have enough high level DG friends to never have to DG with people like you again. We don't need to change ourselves because we've already far surpassed people like you. Funny how that works out- you make an effort to do something the best way and you end up better at it than other people. Lol It's funny cuz he proved my point but still doesn't realize it What's your point? That if I was more flexible I could go back to low level teams and get half the exp? Yeah, sounds like an advantage to me.

Clearing for level mod has the advantage of also yielding food- usually a lot of it. The only time you should be fishing is early in the dungeon when monsters are still dropping no food and then you hit a monolith room.

No of course I won't say what is more fun: However if case might be we team together, you shouldn't be bossy and "force" others to do it your style.. You should, together with the rest of the team find the style your team fits best. - Dungeoneering is a team sport, and in team sports not only the egoist counts. You have to find the middle route, the route in which everyone feels "ok". I'll try to hurry a bit more and neglect the build, you slow down your pace and play more safe! And unless you're searching for this middle route you'll never be a good leader and you won't get natural authority! Besides you could ask any team, really almost any team which had me in their team: they'll all say I'm pretty helpfull - I am always the first to rush into gd's to tank, I am the one who first creates armour & food for others (I only need 3 food pieces don't I? - pray counts for the rest and if need is high I tele out). Also in real life I'm often credited for resolving internal conflicts and I try to do this too during dungeon teams. The only times I'm not helpful is when finding myself an authorian leader who really talks as a stressed teenager who is completelly deaf for other opinions. Then I get the feeling they don't want to put personal profit below group profit, and then you won't see me being helpful. (I might just quit the dungeon as soon as I hear the first 2 sentences, no use in arguing for an hour and still being in the same room). coming from experience, i can tell you this is a lot harder than it sounds when you're skilling. it's really annoying to be halfway into making a pot and then have to teleport back. THAT is actually something I am personally quite good at (managing multiple things at the same time).. I'm just terrible when feeling stressed. This is all fine if nobody cares how quickly they get experience, but some people are at 117/148 simply to get OUT of 117/148 as quickly as they possibly can, and the only way out is through. If you get a dungeon full of armor makers and time wasters, the only solution is either to convince them they're wasting time or quit- there's no point in spending twice as long on a floor as you could. If your goal in dungeoneering is something other than gaining dungeoneering experience, that's fine, but you should really find a group of likeminded people and dungeoneer with them. Slowing down people who are trying to progress is a [bleep] move.

Chaotic Rapier vs Longsword
At Bandos, in decent gear, rapier and divine is slightly, slightly better than longsword and divine. If your gear is a little more welfare, it might go slightly in the other direction. Really, Bandos is insanely near the turning point between the two weapons without defender (with defender the rapier is markedly better). At Sara, longsword and divine wrecks rapier and divine. Longsword might also be slightly better than rapier with defender, but maul will wreck both in that case (there is no defense value at which either rapier and defender or maul won't be better than longsword and defender, barring slash weaknesses or crush/stab resistances).

I already do that whenever authoritarian teammates get on my nerves :P You are exactly why 117 and 148 are horrible, and why requiring teaming for this skill was one of the stupidest ideas Jagex has ever had. I was being sarcastic (hence, the raspberry) That joke is a little close to home for someone who already said they make armor and dislikes "authoritarian" (read: people trying to get the entire team better exp) teammates.

Just because I'm perfectly capable of dealing with screaming brats DDSing me doesn't mean I enjoy it. I spent years without the GE too but I don't want that update gone. Grouping PKers together was a good update- legitimate PKers have more targets and immature kids get what they deserve- someone better than them kicking their ass. No need to go back to a worse system.

You're hilarious. The 90% is in favor of free trade- wilderness on every world is more like an idiot rider attached to a good bill. I've been playing since 2001, so...

I'm generalizing the subset that's against having wilderness specific worlds. The kind who get some sick kick out of killing people who aren't risking just to piss them off and feel powerful. If you are against wilderness specific worlds, you ARE immature. There's no denying that.

No, see, if they like just killing someone for no drop just to lose them their clue scroll, they aren't a good PKer. Period. Not that I'll ever have a problem with this- look at my stats. My clue will be yak banked before anyone lays a finger on me, and I'll have a good chance of taking down my would-be assailant. I just feel like it's a stupid aspect to have in a game. Putting players at the mercy of prepubescent kids on power trips is not my idea of good game design. Put them in their own areas specifically for killing each other and let the rest of us stay away from them. Edit: at the above... seriously? Look at my stats. Do you really think I'm afraid of some 99 str pure with a dds? Come on now.

Yeah this can be true for a lot of PKers but i don't think it's fair to disregard the large legitimate pkers (and stakers but that's a whole other story) back in the day. clans actually meant something Legitimate PKers would be fine with having specific wilderness worlds because legitimate PKers kill other PKers.

It's not selfish, there should be worlds that don't allow pking in them. It should be allowed on the themed worlds as the current pvp is already. That way people that want to go into the wildy can do so without worrying about being jumped at random, and those that want to kill people can do so on themed worlds. Actually, that's what the wilderness was all about. It'd be pointless to bring it back only on some worlds. So yes, it'd a little selfish to want all the things to convenience yourself. I vividly remember solo pking in deep wildy (f2p though), and hopping worlds at rune rocks in hopes of getting lucky. And hopping at castle to find an opponent. Before you say "lolololol so you only pk miners", yea why not pk them when you can get good loot? And why do you think those rocks are located in lvl 44 wildy? So you can be safe? Why not spawn 10 rune rocks in the middle of falador jeez. See, this is the problem I have with "PKers" right here. They aren't PKers, they're just cowards who want an easy kill. So many noobs want the old wild back so they can prey on people 20 levels lower than them in no armor trying to mine some rune, or do a clue, or use the abyss. Then they can feel big and bad and shout "Gf nerd lolol" as their helpless target hits the ground and they get some worthless loot. It's pathetic and not needed. PKers should be grouped together in their own little pens where everyone is clearly there to fight- allowing 13 year olds to feel good by losing someone a clue scroll is not a good reason to bring back wild on every world. I'm in favor of free trade, but the old wild was just a cesspool where insecure little kids went to feel good about themselves, and it sucked.

There are only so many times you can explain how blatantly stupid making armor is (for ANY playstyle!) before you just stop taking those people seriously. At this point, people on this forum who still endorse making armor are typing with their eyes shut tight and garner no more respect from me than trolls. If you want to slow down your dungeoneering teams on purpose and be responsible for making world 117/148 hell for people who can actually play, why the HELL are you posting about it on a thread about efficient dungeoneering? Get out of here!
