  1. Yeah, exactly. While 15 overload doses is a long time to have crap luck, it's still entirely possible that we were having a bad night and nothing's changed. I'm mostly interested in hearing from experienced corpers who have tried corp since the damage soaking update- I haven't been able to find anyone of that description to ask yet.
  2. What, a troll post from Golvellius? I'm shocked.
  3. Let me preface this by saying that I have a significant amount of corp FFA experience, so I'm not just some rambling noob who doesn't know what he's talking about. Tonight I went to a corp trio and literally 80% of the mage attacks hit me, including the splashes that usually miss often. My partners experienced the exact same thing. It stayed this way for several trips and over 15 doses of overload, so if it was a bad luck streak it was incredibly long. Both my partners died at least once, I just barely hung on, more through luck than anything else. My theory is that Jagex adjusted Corp's accuracy to adjust for the damage soaking making it harder for him to KO, and overdid it somewhat. Has anyone else who's been to corp since the update experienced something similar, or did we just have the worst several corp trips any of us have ever had in a row? If this is true small corp teams are effectively dead, because I was getting hammered CONSTANTLY. Hopefully it was just bad luck, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone else has noticed a difference.
  4. You can't KO effectively with a CLS. Rapier has KO potential in that it can hit two high hits quickly with time for only one food in between hits. Maul has KO potential in that it hits really high. CLS isn't fast enough to combo well, but isn't as strong as the maul. CLS is not for PvP. There's also really just Sara as far as monsters with sufficient defense to make the CLS distinctly better than the rapier- they're ridiculously close to equal on Bandos. In my experience, I could only eat once when fighting a CLS. But then again, you can always use combo foods like pizza+shark. ...You must lag a lot or be extremely slow. There's easily enough time to eat two rocktails between CLS hits.
  5. It should be the fault of the company's, not ours, if the CEO of it likes throwing ideas out of thin air from nothingness. Don't shoot the messenger. Should be, but if you're still listening after years of his BS... I mean, there's a certain point where believing a liar is stupid, and we've been there for a while.
  6. Lol @ trusting anything MMG says even a little bit. You guys are insanely gullible.
  7. Proof? The OP has proof, but you do not. Well, we do know for a fact that sniping (getting an early offer in right after the update) bought out items is effective. There are even bots that do it for you. That much can't be denied.
  8. If you're buying multiple items, you only get priority on your first- then it goes to someone else. Say I get an offer in for 2 divine spirit shields right after the update, and someone else gets one 1 second after me. I get the first divine sold, and he gets the second. The second one of my offer is shifted to the bottom of the queue as soon as my first buys, so you can't snipe two of something, just one. That's why when buying stuff like herbs you can still get them.
  9. Cleanup year. Taking all the broken, stupid crap they've released over the years and making it all well designed and useful to some degree. This includes: All skills having a reason to be trained high (95+). Currently a lot of skills like smithing, crafting, mining, woodcutting, fishing, fletching, etc. etc. are broken in that the only reason to train them past a certain (low) level is for total levels. ALL of them should have significant benefits that make people who aren't high in them wish they were. That's how RPGs should work. All the dumb training places and quest areas should be upgraded to be a place people at some level would like to visit. For example, the Bandos throne room should be a useful place to train agility at some level (right now there's no level where it's good exp), some old quest mining areas like the desert camp should have some sort of attraction, either in the form of a deposit box or something like iron ore mineral deposits for lower level powermining, vyre burning should be decent exp/hr or at least have a chance at elite clues or something, Tai Bwo Wanai being anything but stupid, etc. Just all those worthless areas we saw once and forgot about- it's sloppy having all these unused portions of the game that obviously weren't thought out when they were released. Annoying interfaces and quirks in the game being cleaned to run more smoothly. Things like FINALLY fixing the dead clicks some engine "upgrade" years back introduced, making it a lot harder to click on multiple items quickly. Or how about letting us spam click the bank to withdraw multiple items easily again? Little fixes like this, if done well, have a HUGE impact on the game compared to adding yet another crappy low level quest.
  10. You can't KO effectively with a CLS. Rapier has KO potential in that it can hit two high hits quickly with time for only one food in between hits. 11. It only has two attack styles ranged and a non-combat triangle hit splat which I will call wyvern's breath. It has no magic attacks. There is a tail swipe but since it never hits me and I only get the dumb shield icon I can't tell if its melee or wyvern breath attack. Best solution is to stand back a few wyvern lengths and range it with range prayer on. The guide with the guy in verac's praying melee was wrong. The guide with the guy who stuck the wyvern by the door and went to long range mode was only partially correct since you don't need to be in long range mode if you pray range. Congradulations to everybody saying "i told you so". Isn't it lovely that hindsight is always 20-20. ...We already knew absolutely everything you just posted before the hitsplat update.
  12. Monster examine only accounts for melee max hits.
  13. I hate even more than they cover your OWN hp bar, especially if you're under attack from multiple things. Died once at TDs already from that- it got confusing with all the hit splats moving around and different damage bubbles making it harder for me to see what I got hit and not even being able to see my HP bar -.-
  14. 95+ in everything, 99 in all buyables, 1b in cash/rares/investments without selling anything I use, and a divine spirit shield. Maybe a champion scroll as well, we'll see.
  15. It doesn't work on Players, eg: I have 99 Attack (and Strength), I could fight say... 0xpx0 20 times and so could a guy with 60 Attack (99 Strength) could fight him 20 times and the damage average would (more than likely) be higher with the 60 Attack player for unknown reasons, however as you say... against Monsters, it'll be obvious 99 Attack will hit more consecutively than 60. I refuse to believe that there are people this stupid. Go away, troll.
  16. So rapier is now definitively better DPS/KO potential than CLS when pitted against melee/mage armor (stuff with significant melee soak)? Lol CLS is running out of reasons to exist.
  17. Seriously, just stop. Go flail your inexperience elsewhere, you're just confusing OP while he's getting actual information from people who have done more than the equivalent exp of 5 occult floors.
  18. I love how the teaser pictures tell us absolutely nothing about how the hitsplats will look with soak damage, nor whether they'll differentiate melee types. Typical Jagex to post something entirely devoid of information, even when said information wouldn't be a spoiler in the least. Guess we'll have to wait until the update comes out to see the idiotic mistakes it'll be too late for them to fix within the next several weeks.
  19. Yeah, Godsword is probably third best behind CLS and Maul. Hey look, we found something Godswords are still useful for! Lol.
  20. Quite simply, you're wrong. Either you're misremembering or lying. You're 50 dungeoneering, so...
  21. Hi Okay, thank you I'm asking because I have encountered a door which I need a level of 67 in Runecrafting to open ! That guys advice was a bit badly worded: The only rooms that you can definitely say are bonus rooms and thus not vital to open are ones you cannot open if you use the best potion you can make for tht skill. If you can make a pot that gives you +6 rc in dg you can get doors that are 6 rc above ur level you need to open. But any 7 or more above ur rc lvl will be bonus rooms I didn't word anything poorly, you're just wrong. You will never have to make any skill potion to reach the boss.
  22. If a room is impossible for you to open without a potion, it will not prevent you from reaching the boss. That said, you want to do your best to open every door, because each one adds a substantial amount of exp. It's worth it to make a skill potion for those doors if you can, especially if you encounter it early on, because they CAN contain keys and more doors that will lose you a ton of bonus rooms.
  23. I'm not sure if this is true, but it definitely doesn't stack with the shield, so it's a moot point.
  24. Massing TDs is actually MUCH harder than duo/trio. It is potentially much more rewarding on LS, but it requires decent organization to avoid it becoming a huge cluster**** with five of the six demons raping you. Lol yeah, one time I was at a tormented demon mass a long time ago. Everything was going great, got complacent, and suddenly got hit several 200+ from different styles within a few seconds and died. Definitely not the safest place in RS.
