  1. I am proud of my full rogue. It needs some perseverance and good skills to obtain it and it looks awesome. Haven't worn mine in a while though... I'm also quite fond of my black beret. Berets are my favourite headwear, I often wear them in real life too. So it's nice to transfer some of my real life character into my runescape one :)
  2. Sorry, I should have been clearer the railing panel has been completely removed, so that anyone can get through. oh, thats a relief ;) Combined with bank in Lumbridge... byebye relatively quiet mining spot :(
  3. You can always use CTR button to run. Oh man, I never knew about that one. *feeling rather stupid now* Thanks :D
  4. Very nice update. Only one thing that I'm not overly pleased with: the run button. I use it all the time and it's really tiny. You have to be very precise to hit it. When I'm running through the wild (I never pk, only go there for treasure trails), I'm bound to miss-click it :( Edit: corrected a spelling mistake
  5. I don't need much money, I only really use it for Miscellania and the odd purchase. So I never merchant or do things only to make money. I'm a huge fan of blue dragons... especially when they are a slayer assignment. I craft the hides and alch them. Makes for slayer, combat, prayer, crafting, magic xp and a neat 150 to 300k per assignment. Slayer is generally my moneymaker, esp. combined with the clue scrolls you get. And making pots, but they don't sell that well. I have about 500 pots of each kind up to 70 herblore, so whenever I see someone buying, I sell. I don't actively merchant them though.
  6. I was smithing some knives in Varrock and saw Bob the Jagex cat there. Fetched my catspeak amulet and started a conversation with him. This could be interesting... the white knight story is getting quite intricate... what do you think he might mean? Edit: take your cat there for a hilarious discussion between the two...
  7. I bought my whip for 2.7 mill. I'm okay with the dropping prices. All those months of whip-based training were so worth the extra price. And losing it won't be as much of a catastrophe anymore, since it will be easier to replace. However, I do believe that the price will stabilise at one point. The lower the prices, the higher the demand. Once that demand cannot be fulfilled anymore, the prices will go up again. Since the whip remains to be a rare drop, it will never be a really cheap weapon.
  8. Yay, a skirt! Yay, more prayer bonus! Yay, extra defense! Yay, RC xp! Nice rewards for such a short quest... but why does it have to be orange? #-o
  9. Yes yes, I know that and I'm not bashing the minigame. I'm just wondering, does the time increase with every newly added quest? Seeing as Jagex adds new quests all the time, does that mean that in -say a year or two- you have so much time in the cave that you can collect enough tears for a really really great bonus? (Or get dreadfully bored, since you have to spend like 10 minutes there lol) Or has Jagex foreseen this problem and have they put a limit on the max time already?
  10. I don't really see the point of waiting 290 days... all this time could be used to plant your tree seeds and get a wicked farming lvl, esp. seeing as it takes a day for most trees to grow. I collect every day/two days... and get 803 maples, 8 nests and a load of herbs a day. I use those tree seeds right away. A good and constant way of raising farming/herblore.
  11. You need to speak with 'the face' first and listen to her tedious story. Then go to the snake charmer... I made the same mistake, I went to the charmer straight after speaking with that woman downstairs. Nothing good comes from following guides only!
  12. No, this is not another "what's your max tears collected"-topic =; I was wondering about the time you are given in the cave and the addition of new quests. Does anybody know whether there is a maximum period of time which is divided over the quest points, or does the maximum time you can get, go up with every new quest? In the first case, the time given never goes beyond the restricted period, in the second case, you can get more time as more quests are added. Wouldn't that make ToG a veeery easy way to get xp in a year or two? Any thoughts?
  13. I love the combination slayer - farming - herblore. Whilst slaying, I always get lots of seeds (cave horrors! aberrant specters!). Plant seeds, do slayer task, gather herbs, make potions, slay. And so on. Combined with a daily trip to plant trees and a daily stop at Yanille and Miscellania: my average RS day :3> I also liked raising agility (and esp reaping the awards) and thieving. Been a while since I trained those though...
  14. Give the guy a break... while training slayer, I've gotten 3 clues on one day once. When the second and third clue dropped, I was sorely tempted to simply ignore them. For the first clue, I'd gone into the wild twice and solved two of those horrid puzzles (and a system update interrupted me while solving one of them, grrr). Of course, I ended up with a measly award. Total waste of slaying time!
  15. The ancient bones aren't that rare. I'd say you have a 1/5 chance of getting one for every chest you open. (I have no scientific proof for this though.) Thieving will get you very frustrated. Your thieving drops when you can't get the lock open (which is quite often) and if you use locpicks, you'll break them at hair-tearing speed. It's safest to range them and collect the keys. There's a good Zogre guide in the archive of wisdom, read that one for all the info.
  16. These days you can pay farmers to look after your spirit tree for 5 Monkey Nuts, a Monkey Bar and a Suqah Tooth. Requires Monkey Madness and Moonclan quest...
  17. You don't mean 'intentionally' instead of 'intensively' by any chance, do you? Sorry for being the language freak, but you do use the word three times, in bold. On topic: this arrow-taking is the reason why I dislike ranging. I don't want to see my arrows getting lost, but I can't be bothered with the hassle of running after them the whole time either... In any case, you can't compare it to real life. In real life, the arrows/cash/whatever won't just disappear into thin air. In RS, they do. This means that in many cases, if you don't pick up the arrows, they might just disappear because the ranger won't pick them up anyway. Why not take them? On the other hand, if you see him running around like mad to pick up his arrows, you could be a gentle(wo)man and not take them in his stead.
  18. In a week or so, I'll celebrate my one year anniversary of this (my first and only) account. Been a member for 6 months now. *Looks down at her stats* I may also have been spending a bit too much of that year playing rs .
  19. If you can't wear black d'hide, your best bet would be prayer... wear some prayer-boosting outfit (monk's robes, initiate, holy wrench, god book) & prayer pots and protect from mage them. Or you could skip the task... the drops aren't really that worthwhile, unless you want a mud staff or mystic boots/hat.
  20. 1600 skill total ... unlikely, but hey...
  21. Boy oh boy, am I glad that I'm past the high school age...
  22. You mean Port Phasmatys right? Whoops, yeah, you're right, Port Phasmatys... Swamp looks like swamp looks like swamp... all the same to me :D
  23. Doing mining, smelting, smithing circles is virtually impossible to do without losing lots of precious time... Best way to go is to go for separate tasks... P2P The best place to do your smelting is in Canifis. The furnace is right across the bank there. The best place for smithing would be East Varrock, the anvils are very close to the bank. F2P I think you're best of using the Falador furnace and the Varrock anvils.
  24. Don't know if my method is the best, but I just go there with my precious whip (and before that with d long) and slash through them. They can hit hard, but not very often and their defense seems to be very low. You shouldn't face too many problems at combat 90. Take the best food you got to last as long as possible (they only drop bones, so you needn't leave space for drops). Oh and they drop lvl 3 clue scrolls... a lot... they're worth it!
