Finally done it. Seeing as you need 96 Herblore to actually drink Ovls in new combat rework, thought I might as well do it.

Anyone know how some good monster to attack? I went to LRC because I thought they'd have high LP, but they actually have anywhere from 2 to 30 LP :???:

Haven't played it, just went through all the scenes on YT. New control option actually feels kinda good; destroy isn't too bad either. Synthesis is still pretty wtf, but that new ending is really just :wall:

There's a 1-2 second CD before you can re-equip a certain body slot.

Chat box also steals all focus, so even numbers get captured by it if it's on. I think it would be nice if you could just click on the chatbox and chat mode stayed on.

While these are all valid modes of travel, many of them have some sort of requirement attached to them, quest, skill, or activity related. I think the goal with lodestones was to allow for players to access certain areas a little bit easier and are extremely low requirement for the most part (you just need to visit them). I think a reasonable spot might be right near the River Salve near the shortcut to Canifis. If the RS tutorial were ever upgraded again, I think putting discovery of all the lodestones as a much more important objective would be a nice little touch.

Did they claim they won't help as much or is that your conclusion? Summoning is pretty much confirmed, but the rest? Some of the ultimates do damage based on your opponent's health (40% max health damage etc.) so turmoil won't help there damage-wise but ss should, in principle, and perhaps accuracy will still matter. I imagine few attacks will be 100% accurate, so turmoil and potions should help a ton there with the increased defence. In another post they mention that all potions have been rebalanced (even to the point where you can bring ovls into the wildy :twisted: )

Too lazy

Fletching/Smithing/Crafting have not really been spruced up. All of their attempts to update these skills fail to pass the GE test ie. these updates can just be bought or sold, so what it really turns into is a great way for high skillers to make an extra 50-200k a day. Whoopdedoo. These skills are in need of major revamp, on the level that herblore received.

Full Agile :D Agility is one of those skills that I pseudo-enjoy (actually-enjoy is farming) more than any other skill just because I keep imagining it in my mind to be this super awesome, cool, and useful skill, but in reality it's not. At least these will be ok for PKing bots or something :unsure: Also level 88 agility, 950k until I'm pretty much done with this skill. Also holy crap a blog post.

Not excited or looking forward to it at all really. I think sprucening up all of the old skills would be time better spent.

Well that is the essence of the problem, smithing, along with many skills, is based on very archaic design principles. With no GE or big monster drops, rune gear was mostly extremely valuable and prestigious because it had to be smithed by a player or you had to find one of the few people who had it to sell it to you (which was one of the reasons why the rune 2h was so expensive in RSC). Fast forward to the present and you have gear that is leaps and bounds better, much better monster drops, a higher population to get the drops and smith items, and a GE to facilitate distribution.

All I can say is Start. Assignments. Early. You will hear this from profs and upper year students to the point where it becomes a mindless drone of meaningless babble, but never forget this advice. Unless your time management skills and work ethic are absolutely impeccable, you will run into the situation of "Oh...wait...this is due tomorrow isn't" very often. You need to start assignments and work on them very gradually from the day you are assigned them. It just seems like such a simple principle that everyone tells you, but it goes a really long way, especially in regards to the quality of the work, your ability to find help, and stress levels. I was another one of those students who pulled 90s in HS basically doing nothing and that attitude absolutely curbstomped me first-year, first term, for my first few midterms. You need to work and you need to do it soon or you will be in a very undesirable situation.

Steel is nice in that it requires less withdrawing. My main question is what else you would do with the DG tokens. Maybe repair gravite I suppose.

You simply need to come to terms with that, for the time being, it's going to be a big waste of time and effort. As soon as you make that connection and make sure you understand it, your mind will care less and less about dating. Do I still look at girls and think about sexual relations and dating? Well yeah of course; as Rdox put it, it's a biological mechanism programmed into you. But you just need to take your executive functionality and make the realization that dating is not what you want to be doing and stop trying to force the issue. The less you worry about it the easier it is. In general, just meet people and have fun with them. If you enjoy your time with that person, spend more time with them and go from there. But until that point, just keep it in the back of your mind.
