  1. Actually Korasi beats claws in single way combat and DDS beats claws in low defence situations.
  2. I think they should do something like Artisan's workshop for every grindey skill ie Have some form of activity that offers greatly increased XP but actual attention (so ceremonial swords if they actually offered more XP) and then keep AFK methods for people who want to do that. Main issue is of course coming up with ideas and also botting.
  3. You aren't green anymore

  4. Some interesting ideas thrown around here. However, all I want is the same thing I've always been asking for: player exclusive benefits. I want a unique advantage for having a skill at X level that does not involve making money (fishing/mining) or something that I can just simply buy (flasks, cooked food, runes, etc). Summoning, high level herblore, and magic are all reallly good examples of skills I think are in a good place in this regard while FM and fletching are pretty much at the bottom (though with the HP boost, FM is probably higher than fletching). They need to also try and make the skills less boring to train and create incentives for people to actively grind the skill. This might alleviate the bot situation.
  5. The cases that we are talking about that have true randomness (quantum mechanics) are the specific cases that Bell's theorem covers.
  6. Have you done as many relevant farming quests yet? Have T1 greenfingers yet?
  7. *crosses fingers for combat rework* Q might also consider thinking about maybe coming back at the point as well
  8. >Checks if Valve is doing anything interesting >If so, HL3? >NOPE >Another year it is
  9. As it stands, our models of mathematics and physics makes it an impossibility. You could elevate your view of our understanding of the Universe and claim that our system is inadequate for whatever reason. However, this does step past the bounds of science and purely into philosophy. Personally I feel like as soon as you do that, all bets are off.
  10. Hooray for quantum mechanics! I know little about physics, so all I can say is that just because we don't know how something is determined, doesn't mean it isn't. I think a similar argument was made about the decay of radioactive particles in the "are we free" thread. Bell's theorem says it is mathematically impossible for a "hidden factor" to exist. Thus, radioactive decay, amongst other things in quantum mechanics, is truly random. The notion of there being some mysterious X factor that we couldn't understand or observe has been around for a long time and even supported by Einstein, but as Bell showed, this is not the case. Of course from a epistemological viewpoint, you could say that our system of math is simply wrong or imperfect in that regard.
  11. Hooray for quantum mechanics!
  12. Go go go go go! Get that untrimmed 99 farming cape and we can be well...untrimmed farm cape buddies :D
  13. I think the most important thing for them will be to first work out the combat rework. I've always liked the idea that smithing would grant you exclusive benefits. Even if you could smith rune armour at level 41-50 and have better armour at 90+, you could still just buy the 90+ armour. Smithing in this reworked structure doesn't give you any personal benefit. I think they should let us "enhance" our armour and weapons in someway, perhaps let us increase the soon-to-be release LP values by a % amount, maybe permanently "temper" degradeable armour at level 99 smithing (making it never degrade, but also untradeable), and so on.
  14. You should stake that onyx and then potentially have two onyxes.
  15. The setup would be salve(e) + neit or FSH + fury. You gain 5% more str and attk at a cost of 5 str bonus, 10 atk bonus in all fields, 2 prayer bonus, and +15 def in all fields. If we assume gear to be fairly top tier to be: Bandos Rapier D Def D boots Zerker(i) Fire Cape We get a str bonus of 141 and attack bonus of 131 (assuming stab) before either of the two setups. In the salve setup, we get 172 str and 157 (stab) attk bonus. In the fury setup, we get 170 str and 162 attk bonus, in addition to +2 prayer and +15 def. It would seem like salve wins in pure str bonus, but only marginally. EDIT: Too lazy to calc void now Double Edit: Forgot FSH isn't actually 15%
  16. Q is such a nice person. Still willing to do so much for a game she doesn't even play anymore. You should feel honoured, wizzie I'd be really reluctant to expand much more on this guide until the combat rework gets released, which could potentially invalidate most of the content.
  17. Get to doing those quests if you haven't already. At the very least you should be unlocking magic secateurs from Fairy Tales pt 1 for when you go herb farming.
  18. Unfortunately no. Respec is the only way to completely reset your points, however they're only uncommon now so you have a better chance of getting them.
  19. You should probably add new questions in as edits then so as to not lose context for the previous questions.
  20. As Assume already noted, they have been integrated into modern Westernized English; it's very difficult to avoid them. Good bye in fact comes from "god be with ye", said when a person leaves a village or whatever goes into the wilderness/desert/etc. Neil DeGrasse Tyson touched on this himself. When people heard him say God Speed during a satellite or shuttle launch into space, they gave him funny looks and did a whole bunch of hand waving. "Hey, you're atheist aren't you? Why are you saying God Speed then?" His response is that it is merely a tradition and a sign of respect that is prominent throughout aerospace endeavours.
  21. Anyone know if this thing expires with time? :-k
  22. I've been vouching for these sort of updates for the longest time. They need to produce bigger updates that don't only add new training methods or a few bit pieces here and there. There needs to be content that is offers the player a worthwhile exclusive benefit. You get that with herblore (extremes/ovls), summoning (familiars), and dungeoneering (chaotics). They've attempted to make mini-updates to grant exclusivity (Red stone, bakriminel bolts), but in actuality it's not really something you get for only for yourself other than a little bit of daily profit. The FM HP boost was kinda decent though, if still rather small.
  23. This is how you avoid disappointment with anything you do in life. The only downside is that you come off as a perpetually grumpy, cynical and pessimistic mope.
