It has been proven that practice with memorization eventually leads to better memorization, which can be helpful in so many areas of life. I think we could all benefit from a little short-term memory practice, so I thought this game up. The object of the game is to successfully memorize the above poster's line. How to play: Poster 1 posts a sentence or a string of characters/numbers or any combination thereof (in hide tags). Poster 2 tries to type out as much of Poster 1's line as he can remember, WITHOUT LOOKING BACK OR CHEATING. Poster 2 also provides a new line for the next poster to try to memorize. And so on... Remember that you're just trying to remember as much as you can, no one is expecting you to regurgitate perfectly very hard lines. Defining and contextualizing words like murder, marriage, abortion, freedom, and so on are some of the most important things that our government, and any society for that matter, can do. Millions of people have died for their take on certain words, to trivialize their cause is nothing short of shortsighted.

Neato, my step-father has been teaching special ed for decades. On topic: I've recently found a new state of mind within myself, wherein days pass like short naps and hours pass like blinks. This of course is found in Counter Strike Source, specifically ZMOD and JB servers. I've played CounterStrike off and on for years, but for some reason for the past few days I've been obsessing over it like I used to with RuneScape. It's nice, I don't even feel like I'm living in real life anymore. Having a quite relaxing break.

Yes, but the fact that we have the ability to observe and theorize about these things further proves the uniqueness of the human mind. Of course, like all animals, we have certain psychological traits passed onto us because of their evolutionary benefit to our species, but on top of that there is also a sense of interpretation—a choosing of the subjective "right" over the subjective "wrong"—which is named and defined as morality. This can only be present in a mind where things such as self-awareness, a developed consciousness, and other things mostly limited to humans are found.

I guess we can share our cut stories, so I'll share one of mine. In my old, spacious fourth grade classroom there was a loft in one of the back corners where we would hang out during free periods. There was also an old submarine periscope in the loft that had been setup to see above the roof which was held its spot in the center of the loft. One day I was in the loft, roughhousing with a friend, when i tripped and nicked my head right on one of the many metal rings which rested around the periscope, and happened to hit the only one that was chipped. I fell down, and when I raised my head back up I was immediately blinded by my blood, not even realizing I had been cut until then. My fourth grade teacher somehow managed to carry me while climbing down the loft and drove me to the hospital himself. By this point I was still bleeding profusely, becoming very lightheaded, and bleeding all over my teachers minivan (my teacher was a man). I got urgent treatment and got my cut glued together with some strange liquid stitching that stayed there for around a month. The only thing to remind me of the cut now is a bald spot extends diagonally about three millimeters wide on my left eyebrow. Since I last checked there is also a stained trail of blood going to the door in the classroom.

I just thought I would point out the very significant fact that with that post you now have > 9000 posts; a winner is you. Have you ever tried mahi-mahi, swordfish, or shark? All of those dense fish meats are rather similar taste-wise to chicken and still have a tenderness only found in fish. :thumbup:

You're annoyed of that fact that girls expel urine? When they tell you about it? When you hear it? Elaboration is needed, otherwise you just seem weird. On topic: Fake boobs gross me out. Another thing that annoys me is when someone feels the need to apologize to me for something, or thank me for something profusely (although I often do this myself).

I can help but laugh when I hear people talk of "natural morality". Not that I discredit the idea that it is evolutionarily beneficial for a species to not be cannibalistic, sympathize with others of its kind, care for their young and so on, it's just laughable when people think of these instincts as a form of morality, and even more so when people don't even attribute these naturally occurring instincts to evolution. In my opinion, for morality to exist there must be a conscience that actively chooses right over wrong—a very human thing. In the case of dogs not eating dogs because of their pre-disposed psychology that would in most cases not even permit them to make an "immoral" decision.

I don't find it difficult to keep cool, no. However, when I do work out, run in races, etc., I seem to sweat more than most.
