  1. Spears have equal bonuses in all 3 skills. They can use Stab, Slash and Crush, and all styles are controlled.
  2. For those of you who are talking about the list loading in the same page, you can blame that on me and my lack of HTML knowledge. I used a simple "a href" tag, which is designed to change the current page. If I could figure out how to make it a pop-up, then I could easily fix it to pop-ups, so keep that in mind: The current links do not have to stay as it, and can be modified...
  3. You probably have no response because someone who would be making that update has come through here yet. For example, while I personally have access to the guides to edit, my main area of "expertise" is the Bestiary. Also, proof shots are ALWAYS welcome, and make it more likely that your submission will be added.
  4. Ranarr seeds are covered under Seeds as "Herb Seeds." Any monster that drops one type of Herb seed drops them all, so rather than list them all, simply listing them as "Herb Seeds" is much better.
  5. I had the event a day or 2 ago and there were the streaks running across my screen. I was playing on High Detail as well if it's relevant (which it seems to be).
  6. For crafting, do whatever until you reach level 10, then do bow strings until you get the desired level (may not be the fastest, but it's one of the most profitable). For Woodcutting, just do whatever you can until you get the necessary level. Normal Logs to 15, Oaks to whatever the desired level is. I wouldn't use Willows at that low level because how long it takes to get each log is too long compared to the xp from Oaks.
  7. I'm pretty sure that already if no conversation can be generated from a topic, it's classified as spam and locked...
  8. *Disregard the previous two posts: They were made while this topic existed in the wrong forum*
  9. We are not Jagex. We cannot make updates to the game. We are only an unofficial site that is designed to help people in ways that Jagex can or will not.
  10. Not really a Noob moment, but just a funny comment I decided to make (least it was funny for me). Someone: What's everyone's favorite Barrows brother? Me: A dead one...
  11. From what it sounds like, this is what happened... At the time that the Rollback-Checkpoint saved, the guy was in the middle of a trade, with his money and the Mask in the trade window. This meant that the game decided NOT to save this data since it wasn't in the inventory or bank at the time of the save. Before the next save happened, the servers crashed. Upon reverting back to the previous save data, the money and the mask are not returned since they were in an area where they were not saved, and therefore are lost.
  12. Most people do curse training at the zombies underneath the Magic Guild, if you're looking for a good place... There's at least 10 of them down there, so if you somehow get one of your spells to hit, you'll have at least 9 others to change off to.
  13. For those of you complaining about the speed of the Abyss method thanks to the "ditch," I will let you know that doing it efficiently results in ABSOLUTELY NO TIME LOSS compared to before without the ditch. To be perfectly honest, if I do it correctly, I actually get to the mage faster than without it. My method for Abyss Nature Crafting is to walk from Edgeville Bank to the bridge over the river, and begin running just before that bridge. Cross the ditch on the far side of the river, and run to the mage with the camera angled full down and looking for the mage. Before I even reach him, I get the right-click teleport option selected and get in. Find the nearest entrance (with a pickaxe available for the mining spot), turn off my run when I get inside the center ring, get into the nature altar, craft my rune, and use a house teleport spell to use my mounted glory amulet. Not only does this save me money (only needing 1 Glory amulet as apposed to hundreds), but it also can make the loss from a rogue abyss-pker less since you'll only lose money from the few pure essence and the dragonhide. This method takes about 1-1:30 minutes for me and I don't have to worry about running out of run energy, since the time from entering the center ring to returning to Edgeville bank is usually enough for my energy to restore. Air Runes I would estimate would take you 1:30-2 minutes on a round trip walking, which you will probably do most of the time since your energy won't last much more than 1 or 2 trips. Either way, I would highly recommend Nature Rune crafting over any other method you have. If you really wanted, when you get the level to craft other high level runes (Death runes is what I'm mainly talking about here), use the abyss and craft those runes instead. You'll be getting experience much faster than Natures and at around the same time per run too.
  14. The dummies will only ever raise your attack, regardless what attack style you use (unless they changed this). That's why I have a random defense pure with about 20 defense and 5xp in my Attack skill... Lets see... For 60 DEF, you'd need about 270k xp... I honestly don't think it'd be possible to get 60DEF without training your hp a little bit... Also realize that for the One Small Favor quest, I think you need to have a minimum level of 30 in the stat you would raise to use the lamp. To be perfectly honest, what you suggest I don't think is possible.
  15. My personal method for smithing (which got me 2 or 3 levels in around 3 hours or so, and I'm level 66 or something) was soloing the blast furnace and making Steel Platebodies. I even bought all my ore from the store. What I did was bought my stuff from the store, and manipulated my inventory so I could hold 25 steel bars. Make 5 plates and then alch them. I think I ended up profiting about 70k in about 240 plates(?). You may have to switch worlds every so often for a fresh stock of ores, but it's still rather consistent if you have the Nature Runes for it. I would recommend making your own Natures or try and finding them for VERY cheap, because I think you spend upto 1250gp for Steel Plates when both Coal and Iron are at low stocks (however, those prices are offset by the disproportionatly less costs when the stocks are full). Whoa... "disproportionatly" is the longest word I've ever type on these forums... 17 letters, I think that's actually a record for longest word typed in full context on here...
  16. If you'd like to make a little money in this while doing it, I would suggest doing Soft Leather coifs in the Crafting Guild, and for every inventory load, sell them to the Rimmington General Store. The first one sells for about 80gp and I think the price drops to 20-25gp from there, so you'd be making 19-24gp per load. Considering thread costs 2gp, and you get 5 uses out of it... 5 Leathers: 5gp 1 Thread: 2gp Total Spent: 7gp 5 Coifs sold: ~100gp Profit: 93gp/5 Coifs or ~18gp per. That's somewhat good money for a f2p person considering you won't need a buyer of your goods for that money.
  17. That letter was decoded within a day of that quest being released, so there's nothing really special here.
  18. The information he posted is confirmed by one of the Jagex mods...
  19. Considering you can only get experience in skills of level 25 or higher (or something like that), I think it's rather irrelevant.
  20. My comment was directed at the guy who had the first post (nacfan) who wasn't able to notice what was wrong with the first picture, probably because he's never been to Lleyta.
  21. Could you explain how exactly you got to this area?
  22. The three uses refers to how many different uses they have, not the number per vial (I can understand that confusion). Also, we use the British spellings in our guides, which (being American) seems to have a lot of spontaneous "u"s added in.
  23. Yes they can. But you should report them for rule 1 and say "Auto-typer" before you send in the report. That's what I've been told by a couple pmod friends. I've read a copy of the things pmods should, and should not report for. It was posted on some forum. It stated that they should not report for people who spam non jibberish, such as Selling x for x money ~player~. They CAN report, however, if it is jibberish. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@ as an example. The not-reporting for selling x for x probably isn't true, because when farming came out, I was trying to sell a cannon near the Draynor Farming patch, and I log in the next day to a message to a "friendly warning" from Jagex that I need to make sure I'm not auto-typing (I type 130 words per minute, so it's kind of understandable...).
  24. Those 2 trees are the trees that guard the entrance to Lleyta. They're both supposed to be curved in like the one on the right, however the one of the left is still upright for some reason... It's possible Jagex made it so that instead of all being 1 option, they made it like double doors that sometimes only open on one side...
  25. We probably wouldn't be able to help out here... You'd be better of posting this question in the Tech and Computers board further down the main Index: they all seem to know what they're doing.
