No, . Charms are "bonus items". Bonus items are not affected by RoW. Yet testing give other results: With row I gain about 5%-10%* more charms. - Given according to the formula I found, at waterfiends the increase isn't that much.... *the rate does change a bit according to some formula, in one of my other post I displayed it

I wield full void (or armadyl/archer helmet) + rune xbow, broad arrows (or diamond/ruby enchanted if I go boss-hunting), unholy book, fury, row, accumulator, snakeskin (upgrading to ranger) boots

The first article was "nice": though the topic has been talked about so many times that it honestly isn't really anything new and I would've prefered it if a "times" didn't try to touch it... The second article had an interesting "start" (fall of tip.it) - However the rest of the article more or less seemed just a "faq about the forums": nothing spectacular and very brief - Making the whole article missing the needed "line" to be a good read and becoming dull/stretched. As for the actual content: about article 1: You forgot 1 group: the "doomsayers", those who test the things but always keep fearing/shouting the most negative possibility there is (for them). Especially with the major updates like wildy removal/trade restriction: and basically all major gameplay-related updates you see them rising to the surface.. (I think I often am guilty for that btw).

Actually the best setup there - since you can get 100% defense from the attacks is to use the most aggressive setup you can.. If you can't get that setup use prayer boosting gear (so you need to do less "trips" to the altar). - About using the attack/strength boosting prayers I'm not really sure myself: they put a real drain on your time you can spent killing them, so you have to make very many small trips to the altar. (about 10 seconds wasted everytime)

Just go to a site like sourceforge.net and search for a tool called something like "remapping keyboards" - some of the tools there should do the job for you..
-
Nah, with those stats you're perfectly fine.. Given you won't be a wise choice for a tank at bandos.. Only thing I suggest is some higher (85+) range before attending sara/armadyl bosses
-
Well if you aren't praying the torags/guthans legs provide better defense bonus (and if you're praying the 10% the proselyte top should be better). Also: I would get a guthans body/legs (instead of torags/veracs): if you ever feel like using a full guthans set you already have 2 items (wielded).

IMO, BGS = Whip in most cases. The regular high hits compensate for the lack of speed. Ive actually proved this to myself. I spent 10 hours at Ankou with BGS, 10 with Whip + Def. Both of them got me around 55k exp an hour. When flashing Piety i got about 57 - 58 with BGS because i kept on hitting 60's. GS's are really under rated if you ask me. Hmm... that's extremely strange. Whips have consistently outdone GS by a large margin and has been consistently proven... I'm telling you, don't use the BGS. You're testing was inaccurate. (No offense...) You know: your claim is just as usuless as his: if you say the whip is faster: give us some hard DATA! (btw: I'm not saying the BGS is better - I honestly haven't had it yet, and from a lot of friends I always hear the BGS was a waste to buy -, but I'm getting fed up with the attitude of those players who seem to talk with a lot of autoracy yet can't put there opinions in actual hard numbers). What you should also take into calculation is the difference of someone with 80 attack and 99 attack: the 80 attack has a lot more (but it's currently never tested how much) chance to miss: so they really benefit more from a higher attack bonus.

And how does that make a difference? Its unfair. talking about fairness is really a stupid thing: it completely depends on the person, contex and the location you speak about it.. If I would ask my friends -most of them being computer science/electronic engineering graduates at university- they would say: "it's unfair that you can't use your mind to solve a task: actually programming a bot should, instead of being bannable, be encouraged!" - And if you think about it: they are right, EVERYBODY could learn a programming language and write a sufficient bot for a limited system like runescape. (It's a finite state system so it's always possible to let bots behave exactly the same as humans would - And this also makes it by definition impossible to have a 100% proof somebody is using a bot, unless he actually admits it!).. The real reason Jagex doesn't want them is because they could destroy a "community" feeling, bots don't talk, they don't engage in inefficient "social relationship". - But an Multiplayer game is all about that! THAT is the main reason people dislike bots in such games.. Fairness isn't really a reason: I could say it's unfair that some people have a stronger arms than me (I can't use a mouse longer than 2 hours a day or I get slight RSI problems). Does that ACTUALLY make it a valid reason? NO.. So does the reason of being "unfair advantage" against bots (= using mind power to solve tedious tasks)

I agree for the most part, but he wouldn't have to make trips to the Hero's guild just to charge glories, if one was mounted. ;) Instead he would have to go 4 times to your house to use it!

Uhm not if you joing a special SC clan: 5v5, only gathering: then a game only taikes 5-10mins MAX, so possible 6 items / h.. When taking the cost into the calculation it is: yes it's not as fast as chinning, but still much more cost efficient!

My ranged isn't high enough for black dragonhide or Karil's. My summoning will get me a bull ant to carry, but not a bunyip. I've got an Abyssal Whip, but only an iron defender so far, and no pray book. And the Seers Ring was around 50,000 while the Fury was 1.7 mill. I can spend a bit now, though - would you replace the Glory with a Fury as a high priority? High priority would be bunyip (along with 70 ranged).. Without that I doubt it's worth the trouble..
-
uhm gold is like... mega expensive?
-
Uhm instead of mage armour: maybe some magic SHIELD? (basically apart from arcane the unholy book is the only shield for magicians).
-
I would do lighthouse + cannon. (+ guthans/bunyip).. As for the ring: I can confirm that (after pretty long testing) the ring of wealth works like this (for charms that is): increase of 10% in charms - or decrease of 5% of "no charms this time" - whatever means it's least increased. (so basically it means for anything having over 50% chance to drop a charm to decrease it's "no drops", and everything above this percentage to "increase the droprate".) example: monster A drops charms 75 out of 100 kills, "75 > 0.5*100" -> decrease in "no drop of 10%" -> 25*0.1 = 2.5, so now on average it would drop charms 77.5 out of 100 kills. (other calculation would've given that it would drop 75*1.1 = 82.5) So if looking for purely charms, row MIGHT help you, especially on average monsters becoming actually good: fire giants have an average drop rate of ~50%, now with the row it thus becomes: 1.1*50 = 55%. Some real improvement! I have some suspicions that also the drop "rate" is altered towards more crimson/blue: however I haven't found conclusive proof for that and all differences are so minimal it's still between the error bounds!

Without karils/black dhide you sacrifice a lot of defense bonusses.. Also if you don't have a bunyip you sacrifice some of the most valuable/common drops there (extra raw sharks/lobs for you to eat).. - Also I think a whip + defender/pray book is better there than actually taking a maul.. + why a seers ring but no fury? :P
-
strawberries are one of the most cost efficient ways to farm atm: so definatelly keep them.. Mushrooms are the only other thing that can be of interest: but I would try to sell them instead!
-
Well safe-spotting + cannoning don't often go together very well: you have to return often to the cannon to refill it. Only place that comes to my mind are the trolls on death plateau..
-
Reading the description/explanation during the quest is I guess to hard for some.... - It explicitely stated that it "couldn't fire special tipped bolts, just plain bolts upto adamantite". So it's not supposed to be able to. (Besides 20 bolts won't really kill someone I think).. But I'm wondering if the +78 (instead of 90) range bonus is worth the + 3-15 extra hit during a special.. Well as far as I've gathered now: it's not really worth it, maybe in castle wars it's usefull (since people tend to use lots of prayers simultanously there, so it's always a +15 hit spec). Good to hear MA is still in development, I guess I'll wait a little bit more till it finaly comes out before playing actively again.
-
Sure, if you ignore the time it takes to get SC legs. This is incorrect. You assume each hit adds 4/7 of a hit. As for the last part, defense ALWAYS matters, especially if you're not using a Bunyip. Bunyips are overrated in Slayer. Getting/repairing the leg's time takes very little effort really, so I really, really wonder if that double xp (+ fighter torse/neitiznot bonus) isn't worth it.. On top of that my most favourite way to spent my time in rs is actually playing SC/bA (and to a lesser extend CW).. I'm wondering though, do you actually like the skilling part of runescape? Impressive!

Well me and my friends gathered 10 complete outfits together (dropping all left-over pieces after you get an outfit): - each outfit seems to take on average 300 runs. Remember that many people who DO give you an average have collected it finally: there are also some who just stopped caring after 10-20 runs: meaning the actual average is much lower than what most people seem to get!
-
After finally finishing my 3 year long experiment (to accuratelly calculate the randoms in woodcutting/rare woods): When updating daily, every worker gives every day:
-
Uhm for power training doesn't sc legs + torso + neitiznot, beat full void?
-
Well I have no idea on corporal beast: only experience with it I have is: death (I seem to die always when it's red-barred and then miss the drop).. But I've only been there for like 3 hours in total.. Sgw is pretty decent money if you find a team of like 4 good other players!
-
Well it is capable of using mith/addamant bolts: so what is it (compared to the rune c'bow) when using PLAIN addy bolts? (My bolts of choice before broad bolts were added)
