  1. Problem is, untill now I've only killed dragons by ranging them... (I range every task that's even slightly possible to range).
  2. Uhm, why is runecrafting obsolete (And others)???
  3. lies! You could always write code so that it's proven theoritically to work. There are techniques for this you know. - However it makes writing the code very, very slow (yet no testing has to be done at all) and difficult. Probably more slow than simply testing a finite state machine. - But anyways, there's no need for years of testing if this can be done :P. (Yet the only place you ever see people writing in such a way is at universities/high-level-science labaratories... But good to hear what's going on (expected such a thing already).
  4. That is why you were banned. It was clicking very consistently, and not because of some action you kept doing -- you were basically programming it to click for you, which is against the rules. It's a feature often seen on touch screen: (In the way I coded the driver, it was even impossible to remove so I thought: hey why not make it a feature :P).. But anyways: it's all part of the hardware, it's not a bot (which is software only)!
  5. I'm using 1, and it's indeed a huge increas in speed when working with something as click-frenzy as runescape! (Especially if you have to do repetitive clicks at the same spots).. Other than that it's next to useless (there's no other program/game that depends as much on repetitve mouse clicks as runescape I know of) - Other than maybe poorly programmed flash games. Problem is: it's my only clue I have for being banned for macroing.. - (I haven't been given any reason, but this behaviour, where my cursor moves instantly across the screen might be the reason for this). Right clicking is just done by pressing a button at the side of the screen and then tipping on the screen. (Or by binding some key-combo like alt+windows key).. Btw there's a huge difference between a touch screen and a touch pad.. (I have 2 screens connected to my pc btw, the touch screen and a normal screen). Funny thing is that -since I programmed the driver for the touch screen myself- I could optimize it for runescape a little bit. (IE I made it so that when you hold you finger at 1 spot it slowly keeps clicking there.. Which was perfect for alching).
  6. I will not be using the spear lol.. If I wanted the set effect: I do keep guthans in bank (So even with the second "option", I'll have guthans as a backup).
  7. Well I've got a next nice sum of money which I don't know what to spent it on (It's ~16M): I'm doing a lot of slayer, but also a daily random boss trip (with a group of 5 friends we just roll a dice to look for which boss). Now there are 2 item "sets" I like to get: either dfs + guthans body or BLESSED spirit shield + bandos body Which of those 2 would you rate best for mostly slayer/some boss hunting?
  8. Sigh, the only, yes only, argument I see against these clans is: "I can't buy it immediatelly, therefor it's bad".. Again I ask you: how did you do it before the ge? - many items were bought out by billions a day by single persons (I remember duke owning 1B essence at some point at once).. Really those clan-buyouts pale in comparisation to the half jug of wine/other buyouts that happened then. - But back then it was deemed "normal".. In some way runescape is transforming more and more in hug-scape: we always have to help each other, and every competition/unequality seems to be bad.. Bedman summed up the solution (which I posted the day GE was implimented already in the suggestion forum) quite nicely.
  9. Too bad, I know of at least 1 person who now soloed the CB and actually got an arcane sigil :|
  10. or go leeching soulwars and spent the points to strength?
  11. Well it's ~5M money in ~5H, so I would go for the "more money" option: however I doubt you can kill a green dragon in 30 seconds (and also bank quickly to get this average).
  12. Uhm everyone got 2 of them... 1 you get when you search the interrogation chamber, 2nd one you get when you search the hat-stand in the submarine.. (For the tools to re-direct the sub).
  13. Not sure if the scrolls actually turn into ANY shards: you only use very little shards for graahk pouches, and 10 scrolls/pouch means you get a even less (since it's rounded down/scroll) amount of shards
  14. Laws. Use them until deaths. And I believe it's 225 for duradel. And that's the only one you should be using at your stats. +1, a few things I should add though. 1. ZMI is better xp, but if you want money follow the above. 2. I lied. I think double cosmics is better than laws, but still inferior to deaths at 65. 3. The exact bonus of the 50th task is 15x the normal points. So for Duradel it's 225, for Sumona it's 180, etc. zmi is worse xp at his level! - untill 70 it's worse xp than the standard methods.. (though between 63-65 it might actually be better depending on wether you balloon or use the bronz-pick-drop method in the abbys for laws).
  15. And that boys and girls, is why you should never trust the user and keep all computations server side! First article would do good as a story to show the need of server-side calculations, but it's a bit wierd it took so long before runescapers discovered such a fault in the system. I know of many other games which had such problems like 20 years earlier already.. It's just a variant on the "stack overflow/number overflow" problems.. (But in this case: underflow). The server wasn't able to handle exceptional information well. Btw, can I just say that that last sentence is horrible and should be taken out of it: it makes the assumption that 3rd party software is responsible of hacks, and that 3rd party software is always bad! - Please take it out to benefit the free software!
  16. I'm wielding a pretty "special" set: don't see it often (strangely).. - It focusses on melee defense though (so you would pray mage), but my armour I wield (which is exactly 0 kg) : what I wield is: 3 pouches, laws/astralls, lava bstaff, and as armour: -bear helmet (amazing defense at 0 kg) -glory (fury is better but requires amulet switching: useless) -lightning cape -boots of lighnes -pennace gloves (all needed for 0 kg) -sc armour (melee) top -sc armour (melee) bottom (This is something very little people know, but sc armour also weights only 1kg) -blessed spirit shield
  17. This. Mentioning that you bought the account, even if it was a joke, was probably the dumbest move you could have made. Why? So we can't joke/talk freely because some others can't handle it, and have to report it? Wow.....
  18. Yet in the theoritic computer science it is a proven fact that every turing-complete language is capable of writing such a bot. (And it's also proven that every non-turing-complete language won't be a ble to write a program to pass the turing test). ANyways, all these assumptions aside: I'm still unfairly banned with no reason given.... (Something much worse than letting a few bots slip through is banning innocent people). Given I don't use a mouse, but a touch-screen (Home made it myself - it not a touch pad, but a real touch screen).. That way I don't have to move my mouse at all and I can click at a much faster rate.
  19. Uhm that's one of the most stupid posts I ever read: it's good that I'm not an admin cause I really would almost hit the ban button somebody would say such a thing to me: You're basically saying das (and all tipit's staff) shouldn't have a personal opinion on what's good: that hey should always, and only, follow runescape's opinion? That would be for me one of the biggest breaches of freedom in speech - my personally highest valued human right! - Really you lost all my respect with that post (though you probably don't care). Ow and for those who say "I can't get a months suply".. - Don't you make profit than with what you're doing? (else you soon grow to have a months suply), and moreover: how did you do it when the GE wasn't out?
  20. At that level I strongly doubt zmi is the fastest even.. Remember that also the xp scales up with the level just like money. (at 90 I recieve with lots of attention 35-40k xp/hour). At lv 65 it would only be like the half of that.. Making it about as fast as deaths-through-abbys. And also at that level laws with balloons isn't best money best is to do laws through abys while dropping the pickaxe (requires some time to buy 10-20k bronze pickaxes though, 1k every 4 hours is only allowed).
  21. Uhm sorry, but if you use a lot of money each month that means you also make a lot of money each month: try a month to not spend ANYTHING yet do the rest of your stuff.... - You should actually have a spare month now...
  22. Originally when the ge was first announced before its release I thought it would be something like you suggested. That seems to be a more viable method, however there is still the question of rwt. I'm sure we could recognize some system to prevent rwt, that might take awhile though. Staying on-topic, I think the only reason they are manually controlling prices right now is as a temporary fix that will later be surpassed by a full on update. Jagex seems to have noticed just how much the clans affect the actions of a daily scaper and that it just ruins the experience, causing many people to be scared to buy items. How does it destroy it? - You've got like a possible bank full of items you can use instead of using the ge, and wait till the manipulator clans have done their stuff and the price has settled back... As an active player of Runescape, I'm in constant need of items and experience, my actions fluctuate in game, I need items and supplies to reflect these fluctuations. For example say i'm going to gwd and I am out of prayer pots. I go to the ge and try to buy some prayer pots but low and behold they are being merched and won't sell on the ge unless I wait several hours. This hinders my gwd trip setting it back and sometimes not allowing me to even do it at all. Do youknow the frustration of not being able to do what you should be able to do and want to do? Uhm make sure you have at least a month's supply from everything? - That's the first lesson you should learn from that frustration (and frankly, it will prevent the frustration in the future).. I once had a similar thing with ring of lifes (who thought I ever needed some) - Now I just decided to not take my chances and just buy 10k from them (if it turns under 5k I'll buy back to 10K).. Similar for everything else: apart from the very specific things just make sure you have like a months suply+1. (always need to have something at least twice)... Reallly before the ge you had to spent ages buying the items you would need (if they weren't very comon) - so you would actually make sure you have a months supply of everything. Why can't you do it now anymore?

  24. Rather train my ranged then in that case..
