  1. Yes. I've tried Bounty Hunter. It's fun for the first five minutes, until you realize people can just camp doors to escape, you never get drop piles, piles can't be shared, there's no single zone, you can attack anyone below or above you (I'm 94 and can attack 56's; how is that fair?), AND IT IS SLATED TO BE A REPLACEMENT FOR THE WILDERNESS. If JaGeX brought back the wild as it was before- EXACTLY as it was before- I would be very willing to suffer through pilejumpers and taggers and teamers and lurers and cries of "no armor noob" and "def noob" and "pray noob" just so I could get out there and have some fun. Not to mention have an actual use for my 57 pure, whom I spend months training and is now absolutely useless except for dueling, which you can no longer make money from anyway.
  2. Like I pointed out before in a now-locked thread- and as acknowledged here- These updates have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to stop gold farmers from selling accounts WITH ITEMS AND STATS TO ORDER to anyone willing to pay for them. Jagex might have effectively destroyed stand-alone item selling (stopping January), but they have created an incentive for our friends the macroers to turn all of their WC bots into custom-made PvP or skilling accounts.
  3. WRONG. Goldfarmers can now sell accounts instead of gold. These ghosts, with their ridiculous maximum hits, are bound to kill even the most prepared of warriors. PKers in F2P were never nearly as deadly. That IS nice for runite. Too bad it's going to drop the price to the point that getting 85 mining in the first place will never have been worth it.
  4. I've heard something about two new games by JaGeX coming out sometime next year. Was RuneScape intentionally destroyed to pave the way for these games, to perhaps phase it out so that JaGeX could focus on their future projects? This seems a very unlikely possibility, but with all that's been going on...
  5. taken from the kb. so effectively it's like killing a 1-itemer. A 1-itemer that uses ancients, farcasts, and safes
  6. This is the sort of situation that happens before and after an Apocalypse. Doomsayer says this, doomsayer says that, everyone thinks he's a nut. Then it happens, and the doomsayer says "I told you so!" but it's too late because everyone is dead.
  7. My level 3 merch account will enjoy picking up anything you happen to drop. Normally I'd use my 57 pker, but as a pure he is now entirely worthless. If I get anything of value from this, I will let you know... And know, too, that I will be here to help you to your feet should you decide to come back. If the very thought of that raises your hackles, so be it, but please know that I say this out of genuine respect and not out of some perception of weak will. Perhaps this game may one day change again for the better. I think we're all hoping for that... But until then, phr33 st00f pl0x.
  8. Nope. And the pk area is multi-combat. Dumbest update ever.
  9. Yes man, thats rough. lvl100s+ in f2p wildy? hitting 23+ with mage on someone with green d hide :/ harsh. Can a f2p'er kill the lvl100+? I'll try and be the first! Ha! good luck :F Tell us how it goes, and don't die! take sreenies. Needless to say... THAT was a bad idea.

  11. He was level 105. A big brute, he was. First he chucked what looked like icy darts at me. They froze me in place for about five seconds. Following this, he proceeded to fire large globes of light at me, which occasionally splashed but sometimes dealt very heavy damage. I imagine the freezing is magic, as well as the light-globes.
  12. First screenies! Mister Darren, the Team Cape Seller (Yes he's F2P) Being owned by a Revenant Ork: Mister Neil, the Team Cape Seller Whoa... The Great Lava Rift The Hall of Clan Wars Can't attack... Gah!
  13. No, it's not. That is not what the term means at all. If someone reverse engineered the game code for RS and put up a duplicate site very similar to it to compete with it -- that would be intellectual property theft. All that gold farmers are doing is violating Jagex's T&C. My bad- not intellectual property theft. Just plain theft. Unless you mean to tell me that selling someone else's property isn't illegal.
  14. Goldfarming is intellectual property theft.
  15. Stop defending the goldfarming industry. I'm sure many if not all of them are aware that selling something that isn't theirs is a crime.
  16. I knew this was coming up sooner or later -.-
  17. Role in film: Pure 4 Do you accept to the terms and conditions? Postitutely.
  18. Yeah, that would make sense and make the game more appealing.. :) Not to mention the fact that I keep losing targets in the Wilderness because I can't see up the bloody hills. Being able to change the camera angle would make my job far easier.
  19. This argument is bad to the point of amusement
  20. I offer my victims in the wilderness (those I perceive to be runite goldfarmers, based on stat concentrations, name, scout names, and behavior) a chance for survival if they but say what their name is as I bind them. I never get a response, and it generally takes me at least three minutes to make the kill. Do I know for sure that the people I'm killing are goldfarmers? No, but I have a strong suspicion and they don't defend themselves, so for that and the sake of financing my hybrid, I kill them. You have the right to remain silent, and players have the right to act on their suspicions, even if they may be wrong. If you didn't macro, then you have nothing to be worried about anyway. Case closed.
  21. The solution, of course, is to greatly increase the draw distance and/or add fog to High Detail, then create a "sky box" that behaves similar to "outdoor areas" when indoors in High Detail. Naturally, this still has the problem of each object in the game having a set shading rather than a lighting-dependent shading, because there is no real lighting in RuneScape. The sun would be in one place, all the time, and objects would still rotate with their shadows on the same side relative to themselves.
  22. I actually bought 533 at that price yesterday, and boy do I feel dumb now.
