You silly sillyheads. Nobody would use difficult-to-get buckets when it would be far easier to abuse the low player price on unstrung bows versus the unreasonably high minimum grand exchange price on said bows, especially when said bows are in abundance. Consider steel platebodies. Smiths with no high alch want to sell them for maybe 900-1k. There are lots of these smiths. The person interested in buying gold can probably buy as many platebodies as he likes, then sell them for their "minimum value" in trade to the gold farmer. The minimum value will likely never fall below the alch value, and therefore the gold buyer makes 300 or more gold on each plate he buys- at a cost of course, but the point stands.

I'm really getting tired of the attitude that turning PKing into a minor, dumbed-down part of the game was something necessary to combat RWT. It wasn't. The Wilderness CAN be brought back- perhaps not exactly as it was, but with a little common sense and the proper safeguards in place, a reasonable facsimile of it can be returned. And again, I already have a full list of these restrictions as well as other limiting systems suggested in my thread. Please help me support that if you are of the same mind.

Player combat is far more complicated, and certainly more enjoyable, especially when you kill someone who calls you a noob the whole match.

Yeah, people should respect other people but not because we are F2p or because they are Members. The reason to why prices would go up without the F2p resources (Yews, Coal, Raw Lobbies etc) would be because a large quantity of RuneScape's players would be gone. Without the F2P'ers the number of resources would dramatically decrease. Now the people we should show respect to are, the ones that follow the rules and gather the resources we need, no matter if they are F2p or Members. Wow, a voice of reason on this thread.

Considering that the new eggs seem to be almost exclusively p2p, I seriously doubt that f2p can look forward to summoning next month. I would rather they keep their last 2 months' updates and just give me back the Wilderness.

Anyone interested in bringing the Wilderness back... Please port the thread in my sig to RSOF Rants/Suggestions. I'm of the opinion that Jagex isn't about to come up with a viable PvP solution anytime soon, if Bounty Hunters is any indication.

Speaking of wars, why isn't RuneScape more dynamic like that? Why haven't the demonic armies battled by Arrav returned to assault Varrock? Why isn't Falador trading cannon shots with the Black Knights? And why, after more than five years, are green and red goblins STILL at war?

Chaos, Law, and many other runes are also lopsided when you compare them to their old images. Why hasn't that been fixed? Law Runes don't even have balanced scales, for Guthix's sake.

And thank goodness for that. I think Jagex can do a lot better at making unsafe PvP than what that morass had turned into. Say what you want about Edgeville, Castle, Rune Rocks, and Abyss PKers, but the rest of the wilderness truly presented an opportunity for warriors to survive and dominate based on their wits and abilities, and moreover to do it in as freely a fashion as they wished. PKing is about chaos. It is not an organized blood sport. PKing is about the strong surviving, not letting those who wish to opt out because they want to craft ess or mine rune be. I was a rune miner who used to moan about PKers - Now I honestly, truly wish they were back, even if the slimeballs that mine AND PK still deserve to be burned at the RuneStake. Also, I spent months training a hybrid I can no longer use so I could fight in the WILDERNESS, not some rubbish arena that Jagex will no doubt be throwing our way in a couple months' time. Don't you mean the team with the more people wins? In my opinion, pking died upon the release of rs2 and it was basically already dead. Sure I sympathize with pkers that they lost their favorite thing but the wilderness was as good as gone. No, I really do mean an individual with the right skills and/or abilities can thrive in the semi-deep to deep wilderness even against much stronger foes. Hell, I almost killed an 84 addy pure with mage in f2p.

I wouldn't quit. I'd rant and/or just continue playing. I always find a way around something... Yes it is a valid reason, but to think so many people quit, when the wilderness is only... 20% of the game?! I doubt even that. That 20% for you is 99% for a lot of people.

I saw that edit, but I'm not going to nitpick. It's one thing not to offer a certain class of your players more options when it is not the primary style of playing the game, but it's another to destroy them when they are an already well-established community in your game. That seems pretty awful to me.
