  1. What we need is a mode that goes beyond High Detail and lets us choose the resolution we want RuneScape rendered in. I understand that part of what makes the game so robust is the ability to run it fine on older computers, but the ability to run it and make it look better on higher-end computers would also be nice.
  2. So I guess world peace is out of the question? =S By the way, Merry Christmas, guys. Hope Santa brought you lots of coal. In RuneScape. Because it's actually worth something. Heh. What a ridiculous post.
  3. Once you've fought a real, thinking opponent who presents a challenge, there is no going back. Fighting NPCs just isn't the same as fighting another human player, believe me. I'm a brawler, too. I pick fights with anyone else who wants to fight. Bloody heck, that's actually what 90% of Edgeville and Castle pkers do (albeit most of them aren't very civil, but when was brawling ever a civil bloodsport?)
  4. That's called investing, not merchanting.
  5. i confirm these times as correct A purely lineair formula then, where time in seconds = 1500 - 3/8 * #players. I'm fairly certain a world with 2k players respawns in 12:15. Perhaps the stopwatch I used was incorrect- I'll reattempt this and post my findings. That exact formula was one I had employed before, and it turned out to be about 5-15 seconds off at times. Bored321's idea of taking populations on demand is terrific (would certainly lend a great deal more accuracy to population measurements), but I'm not sure whether that would be against game rules or not (probably not).
  6. No subscription for me. Don't care how good Summoning is.
  7. Are you sure you should be "playing" this "game"? And the only reason people like you supported this same free-for-all PKing is because you probably are too lazy to actually work for what you want, instead of taking it off of others! Most of the time, people's real-world values show very vividly in their style of gaming in RS. With all due respect, ma'am, the weak perish and the strong survive. I am a runite miner. I've mined countless ores in the pursuit of the ability to mine it. and have defended my fellows in the past and destroyed many PKers who would attack them. I used to have the same attitude as you- to hate those who desire to take from us in an instant what we have worked so hard to acquire- but now, seeing the cowards who once stuck to the Hero's Guild out here, sapping the precious ore I have risked my life for countless times in the past, I have come to miss them. I have come to miss those who allow only the brave to take of the ore and stand up to oppose them. I myself have a PKing account that I worked hard to raise. I didn't attack or kill people who came into the Wild with a purpose other than bringing harm to others, and likewise I attacked and killed those who did. That, to me, was a lot more fun than mindless repetition to get a skill level. And now everything that the Wild was to me is gone now: my ability to bring justice to those who use the Wild as a means of bullying others, my ability to have any fun at all while mining runite, and the ability of those who are strong yet just to rise to the top.
  8. wow Care to elaborate? Or do you just like to spam your post count up? world of warcraft perhaps? me - [0.02% of total / 0.62 posts per day] you - [0.12% of total / 6.28 posts per day] lol irony much? He didn't say you post more than him, he said you spam  And he was saying it was ironic as the other guy posts almost 6 times more a day. Please stop the flaming war, it has pathetic statements defending it so it will crumble right now. Quality > Quantity. The number of posts of someone doesn't reflect their IQ or mental attitude, it's just a reference about the activity of an individual in a forum, for example I will take myself, I'm a lurker, I do not post very frequently but I read many posts in this forum everyday! And because I do not post everyday, that doesn't means that I'm a mentally delayed human, so you can't judge someone's mental capacities by checking his post count, perhaps by searching and reading all its posts (a very tedious task). Now, let's get on topic: I'm tend to be some months F2P and some other P2P, so I have experience in this god-damned war. There is a factor that none of you has taken already if the F2P doesn't get summoning: A f2p level 90 will be able to beat every day a p2p level 90* Why? Because I'm sure that is summoning is p2p, you can't use their advantages in f2p servers, because there would be players that subscribe only for a couple of months to get a high level of summoning and then unsubscribe, by this way they could use summoning not needing to be p2p so it's a big NO-NO. Also, remember that the p2p items doesn't work in f2p, if summoning is p2p, it will not have functions in f2p (you can't use cats in f2p even if you're member). Also, a level 90 f2p who made its level by training strenght, attack, defence and prayer will be more powerful than the p2p that is level 90 because he trained attack, defence, strenght, prayer AND summoning (a waste of skill in f2p). This will generate "fake" combat levels like the "fake" total levels when construction came out, remember the people saying "I have a total level of 935 without hunter"? For these reasons, I thik summoning will be definitively f2p, also, remember that when JaGex introduces a skill, gives more bankspace to the affected parts, this time they gave to the f2p bank space. *The both levels 90 in the example are not pures lol Considering that members already have advantages such as AGILITY and PEST CONTROL over free players, I think it better that summoning be made p2p and not usable in f2p. Of course, with a measure like that in place, Jagex will probably simply not include summoning in a person's combat level if they go to an f2p server.
  9. Drops it, as in, just drops it, or drops it when he dies, or drops it when he gets killed?
  10. Merry Christmas. I'm a scrooge right now because of my unfair mute and will be merry tomorrow.
  11. Two weeks later, and I'm still pretty pissed off, mainly over the fact that JaGeX has said they won't return the Wilderness to anything resembling the way it was before. Rune mining is now as boring as any other skill in this game.
  12. Yew bots, fisher bots, and bots in general are gone... At the price of killing staking, PKing, Merchanting, drop parties, boss monster hunting, charity, and a good spoonful of freedom. To be more clear: - There is a limit to the total amount of money you can make from trading or staking in a certain period of time. Currently that is 3k for staking and no limit on trading. It will be a total of 3k every 15 minutes on Jan 1st. This was to prevent goldfarmers from transferring funds through these manners. - PKing in the Wilderness is gone because RWTers could die on purpose with valuable items. It has been replaced by a single minigame called Bounty Hunter. Bounty Hunter is a big cave that is multi-combat and essentially infinite level Wilderness. If you make a kill that isn't a target that you are assigned, you cannot leave or protect item for three minutes. If you die, you lose all your items to whoever did the most damage to you. This is a favorite of clans and the bane of solo PKers. Jagex promises a 1v1 minigame sometime this year with no specifics. - If you drop any items, only a total of up to 3k will show up on the ground every 15 minutes. - If you buy a gravestone from the priest in Lumbridge, it will show up if you die and protect your items for up to five minutes, even if you don't want it to. Only you can retrieve your items from these gravestones; your friends cannot. - The Grand Exchange... Well, go to Varrock and find out for yourself. It's just west of the Palace.
  13. This is something I've wanted for a long time myself- just a chance for players to show their mettle, whether it be for warriors to prove their strength during the battle or for skillers to help them along and clean up after the battle (construction or crafting to help rebuild critical buildings like shops and banks, for instance). I've also wished that players could choose factions if they wished (Gods, Black Knights) and be able to fight one another when the time came. A good idea, but develop it some more.
  14. I do not support the addition of runite to the guild. Prices must stay high.
  15. RWT'ing? :-k Construction. apparantly sarcasm is dead...thrid time in as many days my sarcasm is taken as seriousness. These days it's impossible to tell the difference between satire/sarcasm and the spew of internet morons. Not saying you're an internet moron, but you know what I mean.
  16. RWT'ing? :-k Construction.
  17. You guys really do eat up what Jagex tells you, don't you?
  18. Minimum time is 12 minutes and 15 seconds on a consistently full world (logged it myself today) - I'm not sure what the maximum spawn time is, and that would be almost impossible to acquire since there are never empty servers. If someone could track a world with 100-300 people, that might give us a rough idea. I'm thinking it's 24 minutes, 30 seconds, but I could be (and probably am) wrong. The constant x I got using [hide=This Equation]Respawn Time seconds = Maximum Spawn Time seconds * (x people^-1 * Population people)[/hide] where Maximum Spawn Time is 1470 and population is 2000 has been inaccurate when measured against a world with a consistent range of 1860-1900 people.
  19. It has nothing to do with the chests. It has to do with Jagex's price controls. actually he was refering to the chests I know, but the method by which you transfer wealth has nothing to do with the chests.
  20. It has nothing to do with the chests. It has to do with Jagex's price controls.
  21. I'm a runite miner currently attempting to develop a Visual Basic timer that will accurately report how long it will take for a runite rock to respawn. However, I don't know the formula for the respawn time and am trying to determine it. What I need from you guys is data: The population of a world when you finish MINING a runite ore (as close as you can reckon) The EXACT time (in seconds) it took for the ore you just mined to respawn (use a stopwatch) The population of a world when the ore RESPAWNS (as close as you can reckon) Please also include your account name and message me (omniicyshelf) at least once to validate your data. If this timer is successful, I may share the formula with Tip.it so that we can develop a web-based timer that requires no distribution and can be freely accessed. This will be of great help to all miners everywhere! Please help me in this effort.
  22. While I disagree that those who sell gold period should not be punished or targeted, it is true that people who once earned money by staking, merching, or PKing should not have lost their livelihoods in this stupid crusade.
  23. People won't get members just to chop yews, fish lobster, or mine coal when they can already do that with fair ease in f2p. That's why it's important that "freeloaders" are there.
