  1. Can you make a proper firearm at your own house with incredients woth like 1$? No. Do they cause physical addiction? No. Can they be used wisely? Yes, that's why I mentioned the permission thing. And Barihawk your forefathers might have fought for it, but remember there also was an opposite to them and times do change. People also fought for Bolshevism in Russia, died for it and also got the victory. You can't make a gun in your own home but if there were to be a ban on all guns, you would have a much easier time getting guns from underground sources. It would be like drugs. There is a ban on drugs but you have drug dealers who illegally supply the drugs to the addicts. If there were a ban on guns, you would have gun dealers who illegally supply guns to the murderers. The guns would be passed down a chain. From the creators all the way down to the dealers.
  2. I just can't see being killed for carrying a weapon. I can't really argue because it would be opinion against opinion. I just think that the death penalty for the carrying of a gun is taking it too far to the extremes.
  3. In North Texas on Friday, we got some big thunderstorms and tornadoes. Amazingly, we did get snow for the first time in a very long time if ever in April. Usually, snow ends in February providing we get any at all.
  4. Okay, let's use Victor's example from below. If the punishment for using a gun to kill someone was death, d'you think it'd have no effect? How about we take it another step and lets say the punishment for unlawfully owning a gun was death too. Just like a damn police state, if you get caught possesing a gun you get death, there would be no 'Oh! But he's innocent!' crap, because there are very very few reasons for anyone to ever actually carry a gun without malice aforethought. Would there or would there not be a huge reduction in gun crime? America is so addicted to its gun culture that it will simply never change. What about hunting. Hunting isn't bad so there's no reason to restrict someone from doing it. Also, creating a death penalty for owning a gun is going way too far. That's like saying, "Let's create a death penalty for petty theft. Then no one will do it,". The punishment doesn't fit the crime and America is supposed to be built on freedom and fairness.
  5. I'm going to have to side with Shadow on this. I think it was him who said that if the US bans guns, the only people who will have them is the criminals. The banning of guns will take away the freedom of those who would use them legally away. At the same time, criminals will use whatever means they find necessary to obtain them. The second the banning of guns happens, the underground gun market will begin to flourish. In my opinion, the shooter at Virginia Tech, the Columbine shooters, and all of the other shooters would have found a way to obtain a gun or guns to carry out plans that they had probably been forming for over a year. If you read what Eric Harris (one of the Columbine shooters) wrote in his journal, you would realize that he was determined to get revenge on his school. He would not have let a gun ban stand in his way of revenge. A gun ban definitely wouldn't slow serial killers because they could just use a bat, a knife, or their own bare hands. I think most serial killers don't use guns anyway. The only thing I can see a ban on guns working for is a one time murderer. Even then though, they have other weapons that they could use. The fact that a baseball bat or a knife is weaker because a group can fend them off easily doesn't matter when you take into account that most single murders occur in more secluded places.
  6. This is so sad. I watched a docudrama on the Columbine shooting last week and I thought that was so horrible, and it was, but this shooting has more than double the death toll. Some people are just so sick.
  7. I'm 15. I need to study the stupid driver's book so I can get my permit. It's so boring though.

    Darkness

I think one reason may be that when it is completely dark, there's usually silence. Breaking the silence is usually the slight creaks of the house or the wind or different things and when you hear those, your mind starts running crazy thoughts through your head. In any normal instance, you wouldn't even think about how a killer, ghost, etc. could be lurking around the corner but the dark tends to bring out those fears. Darkness is, simply, the unknown. Most people tend to fear the unknown. On a side note, I love the night. I prefer the night. I don't prefer complete darkness. I also like overcast and rainy days. Sunlight is overrated.
  9. I just recently watched Casino Royal and it's my favorite. Goldeneye follows closely behind.
  10. You're right, it does make sense for them to want to discontinue an outdated OS but there are going to be people who don't want to switch to Vista. That means Microsoft is going to lose customers. Apple and Linux should be happy.
  11. To be honest, I got my XP a year ago and I prefer it to my friend's brand new Vista. They seem almost the same except that I'm used to the XP's interface. Ugh... Tornado sirens going off.
  12. I guess it's possible to have two chemicals separated in a bottle and when they get poured, they mix and create fire but I'm willing to bet that this picture shows lighter fluid being poured on an already lit fire.
  13. That's great. Like you said, there are flaws but I still love the image. Great job.
  14. There's too much contrast. The bright areas are too bright and the dark areas are so dark, it's hard to see the picture. The borders should be sized down a little because they seem to big for the small size of the sig.
  15. I don't think it's Regulas Black. Regulas was killed on Voldermort's orders most likely, because he got too far in and wanted to get out. He panicked, doesn't seem like 1 that could take down a horocrux I think it is Regulus. Rowling did imply in an interview that there was enough information to figure out who R.A.B. is already. Also, I don't see a point in her mentioning Sirius' brother and his affiliation with the Death Eaters and Voldemort.
  16. My first post. I actually played Runescape when I posted this. I don't know why I chose this topic to reply to for the first time.

    Abstrakt

Nah, the fact that some parts are blurry and some are sharp gives it depth. Almost as if it's an actual picture and certain parts were closer to the camera making them out of focus. If all parts were sharp then the sig would be too flat. Anyway, I take it this is the Luigi sig without Luigi? Very nice.
  18. I think he meant to mirror Luigi and reverse the L. You are right about the dark patch on the nose. I think that's caused by the C4D.

    The Robot

I think Alias from Chaos is working on a new forum but I don't remember seeing an update recently. It's on his dA. You've probably already found it but oh well.
  20. Haven't seen your work for a long time. Anyway, it looks really nice. Better than anything I can do. I pretty much quit for the time being. I'll probably try and get back into graphics during the summer though.
  21. I just watched the movie Blood Diamond and it is now my favorite movie. It was great. Sad, but great.
  22. I forgot about those. I get those sometimes. I also get things like them in my calves but they last longer and hurt worse. I was sleeping one night and this pain started up in my left calf. It woke me up and it just got worse. I was on the verge of yelling when it finally subsided. The next time it happened, I was at my friends house and this pain just started up in my right calf. I ended up on the floor it hurt so bad. I knocked over two cans of soda from writhing in pain.
  23. Just a few weeks ago I got a sinus migraine. It was right in front of my right eye and it started before lunch at school. I was in my 5th period class and I couldn't pay any attention to the teacher. I just kept my hand over my right eye. After 5th, the pain went away and my friends saw my eye. They said it was really red so I looked in a mirror and saw that it looked like my eye was bleeding. Anyway, I went on until later in the afternoon. That's when the pain came back but 20x worse. I was biting my tongue and digging my fingernails into my side to distract me from the pain in my eye. It really felt like someone was scooping my eye out of my socket with a rusty spoon. After that day, I now keep Benadryl for Sinus Relief in my backpack. Another time I was running outside of my house and I slammed my right knee into the edge of a brick wall that sticks out a few inches in between our garage doors. It hurt about as bad as my sinus headache but the pain didn't last long.
  24. I don't wear braces nor do I plan on getting them. My bottom teeth are kind of crooked but my top teeth are fine so it's not worth the money. I will have to get my wisdom teeth cut out of my gums which is something I'm definitely not looking forward too. Oh well...
