P.S. to the farming/cons not being fun/lowest rank thing, ever think about how they are the most expensive/time consuming to level? I enjoy them, generalisation is a terrible thing.

OK then, recently my laptop has had episodes of slowness, these range from tiny lag to a whole system freeze-up. So I look at task manager - processes and I see a "svchost[Caution: Executable File]" taking up 99% of my CPU constantly leaving no room for anything - during this time if I try to load any programs they just don't appear, ever. If I ever "end process" this svchost[Caution: Executable File] my sound device is knocked off meaning I need to reinstall the drivers before it works again (even if I dont do this the svchost[Caution: Executable File] still occurs). Anything currently playing works though - I.e. if I have WMP open, then close svc.host, music will still play until I close and restart WMP. I have updated my sound and BIOS drivers but the problems still occurs. Any help will be greatly appreciated as my A levels are weeks away and I need this laptop for revision (although I have notes backup on USB if necessary)

+1 Can't be done, tried it in Lunar bank just after finishing the quest whilst somebody fought it with guthans - you get a "you cannot determine the stats of this monster" or similar. probably the same for all the level-dependant randoms.

And there you have put your finger on the crux of the situation - they did NOT mean to do this - therefore the spell did not do what jagex wanted it to do therefore the spell is broken (does not fulfil its purpose) therefore Jagex changed it to make it fulfil its purpose - therefore it is fixed. Although I take the point about the nerf I always assumed it meant to be made useless, not just limited slightly.

no thats nerfed No, its a fix. Nerf = something being tweaked by Jagex because they made a judgement they now feel with hindsight to be incorrect - I.E. Barrelchest anchor Fix = Something changed by Jagex because they overlooked a major aspect of its production - I.E. this spell[/i]

Basically, music on things like RS, and the default sounds of windows work just fine. When I try and play music files through both WMP and Sonicstage I get nothing but a "there is an issue with your sound device". I go into sound/audio on control panel, and it says I have no audio device, yet other sounds work just fine. Thanks in advance for any help, need anything else just post here.

A topic I feel useful for this topic is Malthusian versus Boserupian theories on population; do people agree with: Malthus: Population will grow until certain checking factors (such as war, disease, famine, drought) reduce it. (more info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Malthus) Or Boserup: That humanity will overcome overcrowding by the invention of new techniques and technologies that increase food production/cure disease etc. (more info here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ester_Boserup) Personally I belong to the Boserupian school of thought - I believe the ability of human kind is so powerful that there is very little we cant overcome - a myriad of disease that were thought to be incurable (such as smallpox etc) have been cured/prevented and I think its only a matter of time until a similar cure is found for AIDS, cancer and similar. Agricultural methods are increasing yields all the time and eventually space travel should grant us new resources with which to support ourselves, the only problem I can see is can humans overcome war? I think that, if anything will be our downfall. OT = yeh, avatar stealers suck, google my butt

Well this will shut up all the "worthless update"'ers Sounds useful for me, always wanted a fury but I cant help but feel sorry for the people losing out on this.

Thats enough evidence for me, TA was the best RTS ever, without exception, imo C+C has nothing on it along with all the over tank rush = win games.

The generalisation is kinda bad - i'm sure there are good and bad gypsies. On topic - when they moved in near my uncles house it was legal as it was community land - solution: uncle bought the land. Any local farmers with a muck spreader is also an option. Just make sure you take basic security precautions that you should take regardless.

Next up for comparison: Online chess and Doom 3!
