What's the weirdest thing thats happened at your school?
Let's see. What's happened this week? :wall: We're supposed to have one of those soon. Last time we had one, I was in 7th grade, and it happened during my history class. My history teacher then was a giant guy who kept weapons in his room. He has a bunch of swords locked in a drawer (At least a few are actually sharp), not to mention a gigantic spear. And Spartan armor. (I've heard reports that he tried to bring in muskets to teach about the Revolutionary War...) Wonder what intruder would actually want to go in there.

Today...
Some idiot as school pulled the fire alarm. No, we did not get to miss class. (Day was extended 15 minutes, I swear we only missed 10...) And it was raining. And cold. What the [bleep]. Though it's the third alarm this week. A small fire went off on Tuesday, something happened yesterday after school (I wasn't there, my sister was) and now this. Gah.

Smash Club.
Because he's so freaking slow you might as well use down-B to move across the stage. Don't know if it's actually a good strategy. You have three grabs...Abuse them?

What Languages Do You Speak And Are You Studying?
Why I like Chinese - We don't have arguments about spelling and capitalization. ;) Though there's the whole dialect issue. And traditional vs. simplified. Annoying because basically all of mainland China (So all my friends here) use simplified, while Taiwan (...Me) uses traditional.

Worst Fist Fight uve witnessed
Hurr hurr In the fights I've witnessed at school, a weapon has never been pulled. Though a kid in my grade was caught with knives a few weeks ago. Don't know who though. I've mentioned it before, last year, near the end of the year, a great deal of fights occurred in my PE class. Worst one was probably the one that ended up as a three-way...I still don't know how that happened. Funny thing was, a tiny (But awesome) kid was the one to break it up.

How do you get 'unsick'?
I have a digestive disorder. Or something. Basically a stomach illness, but it doesn't go away easily. I'll assume what helps me will help you too, but sometimes it'll do the complete opposite. People are weird like that. Avoid greasy foods, generally avoid cold things. Lots of fiber if you're having issues with your crap. Keep yourself distracted, thinking about it will only make it worse. Computers are great for this. Don't eat too much at once, spread it out. Saltines and bread are good, along with hot drinks (Hot chocolate is a good choice, especially since it's getting cold). Don't sleep too little... Basically common sense, to be honest. :|

I cant find any good MMOFPS
The only complain my friend could find for CA was that there weren't enough maps/modes. But that was a few months ago, Brushwood, Waverider and Sandhog have been added since. The only complain I could find was that you have to keep rebuying your weapons - But hey, that fueled my addiction. And it sure makes it a lot harder. (Is it worth buying that scope or not? ;) ) If you want a FPS with a community, CA is probably the only free one you'll find. If you make a nice shot, you'll hear "nice shot" instead of "OMG HACKER NOOB." (Though that does happen sometimes, but that boosts my ego) Teamwork is pretty important (Other than in One Man Army, obviously), as a sniper I'm often countersniping and being a distraction while my teammates with assault rifles charge in. :P I wish I had the time to actively play, only joined a clan near the end of summer (Right before I quit). My old account is in the top 60K or something. (I was in the top 100 with the MSG-90 though : )

Tom Clancy's EndWar.
Discussed it in tech ed today. Teacher thought we were saying "N-word." Agh. I might get it actually. Really haven't decided.

If you were President, what would you change/add?
Oh wait. Confucius says the Mandate of Heaven will hold. God would never favor me as a ruler. Confucius say me bad person and bad ruler. I think I'd seriously consider forming a strong alliance with a few select other countries and attempt to create an empire. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

Homework, a Help or Hindrance?
It's quite ironic (Am I using it right?), my friends and I, aka the geeks, play sports on our days off, and sometimes when we get out of school. On the other hand, the jocks seem to usually play video games during those times. (I think it's because normally, we're the ones who game and the jocks are the ones playing sports, and we take advantages of our free time to do the opposite...) Though when it does get cold, we go inside and game all day. But we still have snowball fights. And one time, we had an epic capture the flag game with real flags, against the "nerds." In a forest. On a hill. While I do agree kids need more kid time, up until sophomore or junior year, if someone struggles to finish their homework (Consistently spending hours...), then they either need that homework as otherwise they'd struggle in school too, or they need to set their priorities straight. I see 7th graders complaining about how much homework they have. :wall:

Have you ever laughed at arguments in other threads?
One time, I saw a question something like "I just had sex and my [wagon] hurts, what do I do?!?!"

What Languages Do You Speak And Are You Studying?
It's funny listening to people trying to speak your native language. Or arguing about it. Chinese is offered at my school, it's fun listening in on the class.

What's the weirdest thing thats happened at your school?
Today, a locker was on fire. School was evacuated for 15 minutes, we had to make up 10. Eh. It happened right before Latin started, and my friend and I were there early, he just happened to choose today to jam the door shut. #-o

16 year old with broken back, tazzed by cops, 19 times
Either the media, police, or 911 caller butchered it. Or the guy himself. Or his parents.

Man charged With Threatening School after Jagex tip-off
Oh lawds, I played the LEEEEROOOOY JENKINS video in my mind, except I replaced the "JENKINNNS!" with a "VRROOOM!" Ended up on the ground for a few minutes.

It took 11 posts for someone to say that? [Donald] Leroy Vroom makes it even better. Anyway.

video game products - a major untapped marketing potential?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_hi ... sing_films Lord of the Rings > The Dark Knight, so Tetris = LotR, both of which I love, and thus I win at life. Actually a good analogy there though. Nintendo has a store in New York City called Nintendo World, I was there this past summer. They had t-shirts, stuffed characters, and whatnot. I got myself a Link shirt, and since then, I've seen people at school with Rock Band and GoW shirts. Eh. Maybe it's the start of something. I think a reason is video games are apparently geeky (Though that's definitely changing), while movies aren't. Also, what is there that game companies could do? There are some video game-based movies, just as there are movie-based video games, though there are definitely more of the latter. I think you'll find that a lot of the stuff you dream of (DK mousepads, etc.) already exist - They just aren't as popular. ;)

What Languages Do You Speak And Are You Studying?
Completely forgot to mention, my mom speaks Taiwanese (And yep, I'm Taiwanese) and my dad speaks Cantonese, yet I barely know either. Learning one of them takes priority over Greek in any plans I'll have for learning languages.

What Languages Do You Speak And Are You Studying?
Native language is Mandarin Chinese, but I suck at it. (After I moved, I've been in Chinese school, haven't learned a single thing, so I'm still at the level of an 8 year old or something) My mom, and sometimes my dad, speaks to me in Mandarin, so I'm very adept at comprehension, however I can't read or write for my life. I can speak it well enough. English (American...Bostonian?) is my best though, probably. I speak it with my friends (For the most part, I'll stick in Chinese if I want to be secretive), and at school. I took French for three years, but this year, I got stuck with an [wagon] of a teacher, and some issues came up, so I had to drop it. "Collège" means middle school, if I remember correctly, so Ginger's statement would apply to me. (But not to him, eh? ;) ) Now I take only Latin, probably the best language for me as speaking isn't critical. I've picked up a bit of Japanese from my anime-obsessed friends, and I want to learn Greek. I also learned a good deal of Sindarin, I doubt that counts though.

Homework, a Help or Hindrance?
The only thing I don't like about homework is that a huge part of your grade is determined by it - And usually it's only if you do it or not. No, I don't expect teachers to spend hours actually grading the homework to see if it's right, but most do read it anyway, so why not? That said, most of the homework I get does help. I learn well when by copying facts over and over, and homework usually includes that. My English teacher claims that the teachers are supposed to give an hour of homework each night. Obviously, that can't be - We have 6 classes a day, no one is seriously going to do 6 hours of work daily. (Maybe once in a while...) But I don't know, I've yet to hit the challenging years. Right now, either I don't have much homework or it's too easy, because I have too much free time. I suppose later on I'll be having a few hours worth of homework a night though, then I'll complain.

If you were President, what would you change/add?
Assuming I'm talking about America here, not Taiwan... -Improve education by a ton. American education is falling badly behind China and India's. More focus on math, science and technology. Raise standards overall. -Implement a required course for high school students...I'm torn between a military training program (Kind of like JROTC?) and a working-skills class. -Improve healthcare. Universal for the most part. I'd attempt to make it so those with a valid excuse for not being able to afford it (A disability, for instance) would be able to have a free service, while lazy slugs wouldn't. -Prioritize internal poverty over external.

Most amount of time you've ever put into a video game?
Let's take a quick look at my Xfire (And I'm rarely AFK in a game, so it's all good...) Silkroad Online - 324 hours I have no idea why that's so high. It's a MMORPG though, I'm not surprised. Civilization IV (Warlords) -171 hours and counting I say the "and counting" because I still play it every day or two. Age of Empires and Age of Empires: Rise of Rome - 164 hours I put these together because one's the expansion, don't think that number will change... Combat Arms - 101 hours I play during holidays as that's about the only time I can consistently play, went up about 20 hours over Thanksgiving. Everything else is under 100 (BFME is the next one, 54 hours), though I didn't use Xfire when I played RuneScape. I played RuneScape for about a year and a half (So I'm estimating 500 days), averaging an hour a day. 500 hours. Part of me just died. (I'm only listing PC games as I don't think I've played that much on consoles, Brawl/Melee would probably be the highest, I have no idea how long)
