  1. Ugh, back when I played Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, my Gamecube was having this problem where it would simply stop working after ~15 minutes. I didn't know it was a serious problem, I thought it would only happen once...So I kept playing. Each Cup took about 20 minutes (I think?), so I would get the error pretty close to the end.

    I forgot I had a Wii. #-o
  3. Yeah, that's what I assumed would happen. But I honestly had no idea what to do. I ended up doing what I knew best - Nothing. :|
  4. I guess I've helped people with their homework. Or at least I've tried. I'm pretty bad at it. Meh. There's this kid at school, and just about everyone hates him. I do think he is rather annoying, but I've had actual conversations with him, which apparently are rare for him. :| I borrowed a book from the school library once, and apparently someone left a $20 bill in there as a bookmark (I suppose). I went into a state of indecisiveness - Should I keep it, return it, what? I guess the nice thing would have been to tell the librarian, so she could have figured out who borrowed the book last, but I didn't. So this isn't really a nice thing...More of a not bad thing, neutral, I guess. I just left it there. Too hard for me to decide, I'll let the next person to borrow that book to think about it. #-o
  5. Agreed. I'm not a socialist extremist or whatever, but I do have some socialist ideals. I realize that pure socialism will most likely never work, but neither will pure capitalism, so I'm kind of in the middle. Capitalism provides motivation for most people (I know several people who thoroughly enjoy what they do, and would do it even for a low wage), which in turn causes advancement, which is usually good. Socialism would cause people to be lazy and greedy, and it can be extremely unfair, but if properly executed (So blended with some capitalism, if that makes any sense...) it could work. And many Americans really do treat communism/socialism as if if it was implemented, it would be the Apocalypse. Hey, maybe the winner of the 2012 election will be a communist... (At school, I've only heard one or two good arguments against socialism. Yet if I claim I'm socialist, which I've come close to doing, I'll end up as one of the most unpopular kids, after the republicans)
  6. Haha, I knew why I liked you. Same here. Or at least I have every one since '98, when I moved here. :)
  7. 2 hours left, just got back from my church's Christmas Eve service. I burned a ton of CDs for my friends (and my sister). Some were "TSO Awesomeness," some were simply good songs...Call me cheap, but I have no source of income and my friends don't know the definition of a good song. ;) I don't know what I'm getting/doing for my parents yet, probably not much other than helping throughout the day. Merry Christmas/Happy holidays. (As for me? I've already wasted enough of my family's money this year, I've promised not to spend any more. Though my friends were awesome enough to get me ~$80 for my birthday, so I'm buying a few games)
  8. Yeah. Everyone was looking forward to the white Christmas...But oh wait, now it's a brownish-gray Christmas. #-o
  9. Show me proof that homosexuality isn't a choice. Ever talked to a homosexual person? Also: http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn6519 http://www.livescience.com/health/08061 ... ality.html http://www.webmd.com/sex-relationships/ ... e-gay-gene http://www.medpagetoday.com/OBGYN/Pregnancy/3641 Of course, it still could be a choice. But with all that evidence, it doesn't look too likely. (And once again, nothing better than simply asking homosexual people...)

Wait, didn't he do the voice acting for him?
  11. Huh, that'd be nice. Or control over fire. Because I want to be a servant of the secret fire, a wielder of the flame of Anor.

Of course not. :twss: The thing is, they aren't equal. Like how Yoshi isn't equal to Metaknight. Except not that badly. Dedede's other main weakness is his size, I forgot to mention that. But his size also means he's heavy (Unless he has a very low density...), which is generally a good thing. Chaingrabs are also very important in mindgames, and to be honest, a game as Dedede is based off them. I've never played as IC, but I think Dedede has the most infinites in the game. Maybe chaingrabs too. I'm not a Smashboard nerd, I swear. :P

Instead of focusing on how awesome Dedede is, let's look at the bad things. 1. No [bleep]e. Uh. Yeah. (Kent, that thread is amazing)
  14. ThurinEthir replied to Caxis's topic in Off-Topic
Dedede is a top character because: -He has the best grabs. Period. -He can kill at low percentages, and not die until very high percentages -He has a great recovery -He has awesome aerials -He has an excellent "projectile" I'm PRETTY sure Dedede's Fsmash has far, far greater knockback, and does more damage. If sweetspotted and fully charged. Not like it matters, because good players would never bother fully charging it. What quick moves does Ike have? Dedede's dsmash is incredibly quick, and has pretty good knockback. Maybe his best move, even. His bair is also quick and deadly. I can't think of a single Ike move that even comes close. Ike doesn't have great reach either. Let's look at Dedede's hammer and Ike's sword. Huh. I agree there are too many nubby Ikes though. :| Edit: Eh, my bad, Ike's jabs are pretty quick. Still, Smashboards says the odds are 7-3 in Dedede's favor...So...
  15. ThurinEthir replied to Caxis's topic in Off-Topic
Dedede is faster than Ike overall. Not to mention the Waddle Dees. Those screw up half of Ike's moves. (Ike's F-smash is obviously faster, but both are so ridiculously slow that you might as well use the stronger one - Dedede's)
  16. I understand if you don't like Vista, but no need to act like it's going to kill him. Though Darkdude is correct and 64-bit is generally better, I've heard that 64-bit has a ton of compatibility issues. Just read up on a game before you buy it, just to make sure it's compatible.
  17. Thank you for stealing my answer. By throwing the baby, you may injure a Nazi in the process, confuse them, and shut the baby up.
  18. I've never been able to decide between telekinesis and the ability to evade everyone else's senses. Not just sight, that would be invisibility. That would include hearing (So I could be perfectly silent), smell (Good luck, police dogs), taste (BECAUSE YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO LICK ME), and even touch. Yep, so people would be able to pass through me. Either way, it would be extremely helpful for doing evil. Oh, hey look! That pair of scissors is randomly flying through the air, and woah, it just landed in that guy's heart!
  19. I'm Asian, so *whip whip*, do your math! Seriously though? My parents never did that to me. And I don't think I would ever do that to any kid I might have. The only things I might drive into their mind are good morals. Discipline wouldn't be too harsh, but I'd take it a step past "Don't do that again!" I'd definitely try to find them a sport they enjoy early on, as well as whatever else they may like. If they end up like me and don't really enjoy any sports when they're young, that would be fine. As long as they're doing more than staying home and playing video games all day.
  20. Meh. I'm jumping on the bandwagon, it doesn't matter if it's a choice or not. If it's a choice, then it's basically the same as religion. You get influenced, but you get to make the final decision. I know some people like going around attacking people's beliefs, but in general, religious tolerance is common, in the west at least. Right? If it's not a choice, then it's basically the same as race. You don't choose at all. However, there are also people that go around discriminating racially, but in general, racial tolerance is common, in the west at least. Right? Either way, tolerating homosexuals should be common, in the west at least. Right? I've talked with a lot of homosexual people. Most have said that it wasn't a choice, but they'll take pride in who they are. So yes, I suppose some of those people would openly announce their sexual orientation and face whatever harassment would follow.

You eat your nose? I knew someone would say that. :P And for the record, I actually did do those things a few years ago, not anymore though. Hopefully.

    - That's not bad if you're the only one in the bathtub. - Nutrition..? The whole purpose of snot/buggers/mucus is to stop airborne debris and reduce bacteria in the nasal cavities. Eating+picking/picking them increases your risk of getting sick and sneezing(sneezing feelz gud). But yeah, it probably has some sodium, proteins, water and various vitamins if you'd consider that nutritious. That's...Wonderful... (To both of you. And to myself.)
  23. I'm saying that if it was a choice, then why would someone want to be homosexual and face the consequences? (Not saying that being gay is a bad thing, but you do have to admit that you're prone to face harassment) "If" is the key word.
  24. I don't get why people still think homosexuality is a choice. Even today, as clearly shown by some people here, homosexuals are harassed. Why would anyone want that? Don't you think someone would rather be straight and live a "normal" life rather than be gay and bullied? (Unless of course, you're in gay-friendly Massachusetts) It's been proven that homosexuality isn't a choice, though it hasn't been determined what decides someone's sexual identity. And I learned it in sex ed. Because everything taught in sex ed is true. I live in Massachusetts, so...Yeah. Lots of openly gay people, I have no problem with any of them. Quite a few are my friends, nearly everyone's fine with it. If you're a homophobe here you're shunned just as much as a homosexual would be in some parts of this country.
