Well I Googled that error message and quite a few of the results I got said that it was a hardware problem. The main problem was RAM, another person seemed to have a hard drive problem. It's weird because you said you haven't added any hardware lately so I really don't know what the problem is. It's rather difficult to pinpoint since the error message isn't very specific. You wouldn't happen to still have a warranty/insurance on the laptop, would you? If so, you could of course get it repaired that way. If not, unless someone else can help you, you may want to consider taking it to a computer repair store and seeing if they can help you at all.

Unzip the file that the fonts are in then, lol. Obviously you can't add the fonts if they're inside of a file. :? And if you want free fonts just Google "free fonts".

Well I used Google and got these instructions: Select and Right click on the Font(s) you want to install and select Install from the context menu that appear. Your font will be instaled if it is right for Windows Vista. But it will confirm your acceptance by asking you through user account control pop up window. Simply click on Continue, and you are done.

By the way, you definitely don't need to burn .iso files for games. Just use something like Daemon Tools to mount the image. Burning it is a waste of time and a CD.

That's how you add font's to computers, by copying and pasting. Copy the font and paste it in the Fonts folder (C:\WINDOWS\Fonts). It's possible that you may have to restart your computer or something but I seriously doubt it. I don't understand how that wouldn't work for you. What exactly are you trying to do/use the font for?

What internet browser are you using? And have you tried using a different internet browser?

That's weird, the last time I got that message, the BSOD followed. If you have a Windows XP CD, maybe you should try putting it in and using the "repair" option?

This [cabbage] seriously does need to stop though. People don't need to make topics every time they see a story that they think is interesting. Especially a story like this that warrants no serious/important conversation. I'm pretty sure that all of the stuff you listed is Vista compatible software. However, there's no guarantee that any of the skins, etc. will all work on Vista because they may be designed specifically for XP. You really won't lose much of anything when it comes to customization though, I can't even think of one thing. Vista > XP when it comes to looks, in my opinion.

People can do whatever they want as far as I'm concerned, as long as they're not really harming anyone. I don't waste my time looking at/listening to any of them, I simply have better things to do with my time.
