Advisor Ghrim and Flatpacks- BAILOUT FOR PPL WITH FLATPACKS
This update was poorly planned by Jagex, end of story. The only players I feel sorry for are the ones who invested everything they had in the hope to gain a few easy construction levels. All the players that profited in the 10's of millions got off so easy. Not only will they not lose any money since they can easily trade away what they were left with as junk, they have 10's if not 100's of millions to fall back on. As its been stated on here before I think, bug abuse isn't simply breaking a rule anymore, its whenever you do something that Jagex thinks is wrong, IE using something in the non-intended way. This update would definitely qualify under that definition.

Tip.It Times Presents: Wasted Bullets
Like the idea has been tossed around here, releasing just dragon armor to f2p (nothing more either), would open up the market considerably and likely cause the prices of dragon to skyrocket. The problem that occurs with members have better cheaper alternatives doesn't exist in f2p, and they have a larger player base to spread it all out to (and in most cases tons of money with nothing to spend it on).

Dagon'hai robes ... What drops them FOUND ! (page 4)
Seems you don't need to have started WGS to get the drops as the fellow half-way up this page only has 50 farm. Good news =)

Dagon'hai robes ... What drops them FOUND ! (page 4)
Try reading the full post next time, its his SECOND drop of the night (aka TRIP) so its only the second drop he could've gotten. Hence the lack of drops in his inventory. Awesome find, I'm just really curious what are the conditions for getting them as drops...

If there was any doubt before...
Why is everyone complaining about a potential increase in younger players? Its not like you play in beginner areas anyway, so don't expect increases to already high volume locations for months if not years. You still have everything you used to do, you still get your updates, I don't see what the issue is. Heaven forbid should other lower level players ever get an update just for them or new players start playing.

January 2007 + 2008 200mil exp list- Interesting
More like "without gaining 1exp" I'm not sure but I don't think he plays anymore. You are right, he quit. I'd like to see someone hit someone hit 200M Mining and Agility experience... I have no doubt that Lover Romeo will reach this feat in a year or two. Amazing player.

"The Money Free RuneScape"...
Its kinda funny, I mentioned this exact same idea to my friend yesterday, and I thought it would be kinda interesting if Jagex implemented it in the future. I know its highly unlikely but I think it would bring a whole new appreciation to everything in the game. I think its ftw, but most people shudder at the thought.

The importance of F2P in Runescape
Yew logs are controlled by the value that yew longs high alch for, therefore unless that changes, they won't drop very far unless nature runes shoot up (unlikely as they've dropped so much already) or flax goes up (possible but not necessary). No one will ever be able to profit from high alching yew longs since so many people can make em, unless they actually collect all the raw material or runes themselves. Plain and simple. OT: Prices have drastically dropped for many raw materials partially due to the fact that merchanters would gather material cheap from sometimes hundreds of lower level players and sell with a "middle-man" fee. Now that the middle-man has been essentially eliminated, most of these players now sell to the G.E. at the same price that they were selling originally. Once they realize how much their hard work is truly worth, and once the backlash of no-bots kicks in, I believe prices will start to steadily increase, and then halt at similar prices to what was before, or possibly a bit more for massively botted materials. Its been stated many times on this thread (and it should be common knowledge) that since f2p make up a much larger population than p2pers, and since they have on average lower "incomes" and levels, compounded by less choices, they provide the bulk of basic raw material. We won't truly feel the effects of botters leaving Runescape until January, and Jagex could technically so to say "buffer" the effect with control over prices. Only time will tell...

Summoning F2P?
Wait...I sense a disturbance in the force...Is it irony I sense? Your sig claims you're F2P for life, yet you hope it's P2P...I'm surprised. Most F2Pers will beg for this kind of update, but you apparently don't care. But are you sure your F2P for life? Or are you P2P? Considering that Eminem777 is 10,000 times a better player than you, and a pure f2per to boot regardless of your self-centered accusations, you really should shut the hell up. I'm pure f2p and I don't see why f2pers should get this update either. First and foremost, its deeply rooted to MEMBER ONLY SKILLS, I spelled it out in caps for you in case you're hard of sight, and two, Jagex even posted in the development diary that the requirements for the introductory quest are other members only quests. Not F2P. Period. If you want to expand your game play, pay for it. I know I will starting January...And to all the people claiming it will be f2p because of the supposed "imbalance" in combat level...since when has everything been balanced between members and non-members? Never!

The Fall of Jagex
The one thing that bothers me the most and that I don't get is if you hate the game so much and cry about all the recent updates and CLAIM to have quit... Why do you still post on various RS community forums, or SPAM in-game, or participate in all the other apparently hypocritical activities? If you hate it that much then just leave. Everyone who has stayed doesn't care much for your trash opinions. :boohoo: The world's smallest violin playing just for you :boohoo:

The Doctrine of Estoppel
I guess that would make a person extremely immature to bypass a filter to make an offensive or improper name in the first place huh ? And as I said before , look at the avg age of players , and the way they are bypassing chat filters in game to 'swear" at people. Noobs will always swear in game, this isn't about noobs swearing. This is about a person who worked long and hard on his account and had it banned due to the POSSIBLITY that it could be offensive. Krazyfaken, by people who aren't purposely trying to be offended, would just be understood as FAKING, and a FAKE is just something that isn't real (which has already been posted on here anyway). Using your train of thought, anyone with the word BATCH in their name should be banned too, since its similar to the B-word, and the fact that it has no relevance to the B-word doesn't matter. Or how about SACK, cause it kinda looks like SUCK. Or maybe FUNK, since it too bears a RESEMBLANCE to the F-word. The list would go on an on... Make one example and its unfair that you don't do it for everyone. I believe you used a thought like that when talking about your bank being stolen?

Wow, RuneScape players are sure gullible.
Its amazing how many noobs can't say their own names...

10 December 2007 - ALL Updates!
If people care to notice, next time you see someone post, check their highscores. The only people actually supporting these updates are people who had nothing going for them already, with meager skills and maybe 10m total xp. These are the players of the future. Mediocrity FTW (sarcasm for you intelligent folk)

Why is RuneScape a 'Game for Nerds'?
Exactly. Just like 'all athletes are morons' and 'All politicians are corrupt'. Incidentally, some stereotypes happen to be true... Not necessarily true, a lot of athletes are smart too, they just prefer sports. And all politicians are corrupt eventually :-w

Is the Grand Exchange Fueling Deflation?
Its finally coming to the point where what you pay for an item is what its worth, and what someone is willing to sacrifice to get that item to you. Think about this: since forever mass items were practically only available if you "overpayed", and that overpayed amount was considered to be the going price. But merchanters had to get the mass items in un-mass quantities from players that would sell to them but for lower. NOW, everyone has access to these players willing to sell for lower prices. Bottom-line? The G.E. gets rid of the middle-man and the fee associated with it, so what you pay (or sell?) is what the item truly is worth. A simpler explanation would just be that people are filling the exchange with all their junk, like its been mentioned already on the thread, and it'll just take time for prices to properly stabilize. I wouldn't be surprised if its a little bit of both effects.

Why is RuneScape a 'Game for Nerds'?
"Jock" social life is not idiotic. You should try it some day, before you go off writing it off as stupid. RS requires very little intelligence. Responding to the topic: Because people use the words "owned", "narb", and "lollerskates" with much frequency. Learn to read pl0x, because I didn't criticize their social lives specifically. FYI I have tried it out, and much prefer having brains instead of just living for the day. Anddd...Intelligent people naturally have a higher capability for monotonous repetitive behaviour like studying (and RS), and are capable of dedicating themselves to a worthwhile cause. EDIT: Lawl, I guess I kinda did specifically target their social lives #-o I still stand by what I've written tho. Intelligent people do not engage themselves in monotonous repetitive behavior. They know how to budget time so they don't have to do such things  Plus studying shouldn't be monotonous! It's fun (or at least engaging) if you do it right and aren't blind e.g. "OMG STUDYING IS FOR GEEKS LOL LOL LOL" What good does "having brains" do for you? What's so wrong with just living? :-k Anyway, in response to how people are saying RS requires dedication: It is easy to dedicate time to RS. It is an easy game, so it's not hard to "dedicate" ample amounts of time to it. Some of you may be wondering why I'm so cynical on RS. I'm not - I'm just trying to add in considerations of different viewpoints. I shall continue the long chain of quotes ;) I respect and understand your opinion, but I realize I should have put "some" when I was describing certain things originally. Having brains does me a lot of good but maybe not to another person, I can accept that, but its my opinion, its how I live :) Everyone takes chances and lives for the day, but life shouldn't only consist of pleasures, one's gotta put hard work into it too. Balance :) Learning is fun, studying is not :XD: Dedication to RS is easy on a small level, difficult on a really high level. One does not get 99 in any skill without a massive amount of dedication, even for the least of all skills. It all depends on what one considers "dedication" to be. If dedication to you is only getting level 40 in a skill, then there would be the difference in our opinions. Plus, you're not being cynical, you're just providing valuable insight into the flaws of my posts. No one is perfect you know. Forgot to add that I consider intelligence and the ability to govern time effectively to be very controversial, I for one have extreme trouble trying to put aside time for doing Calculus HW... Can't stand it lol :-w

Arrow stealers
i think you can only see them for a split second. Mr. blah has logged on - Mr. blah has logged off. So you can only see if they have logged on. I only know this because my friend logged on and off quickly like this, and i asked my best friend and he said that guy was on. Actually they can see the whole time that you're online, they can even attempt to PM you, but you wont' get the message. Personal experience as I once had a friend add me to ignore instead of friends list =.= had to find them in the actual world before they realized it. On topic tho: just pick up your arrows more often, and to prevent people following you along worlds, just put your private chat to friends or off, like mentioned earlier on here.

Why is RuneScape a 'Game for Nerds'?
Pretty much everything posted on here is true. But above all its just a stereotype that intelligent people happen to be the best at the game (notice i don't include the stupid mass noob population in this 8-) ) I'd probably qualify as a "nerd" but i couldn't care less. I love my life, and think I'm much better off than some "jock". Nerds have social lives too =.= just not ones filled with idiotic behavior.

Grand Exchange Conspiracy Theory
Just a small FYI, but its quite easy to get massive amounts of money playing legitimately...All you need is luck. Say someone goes soloing God Wars Dungeon bosses, gets only one kill, but the drop is an Armadyl Hilt? Last time I checked the Armadyl GS is going for 140m+, thats a fair bit of money, made in only a few seconds. If you play more, you're bound to get lucky at one point or another.

Examine Gravestone
Awe I was going to say that ;P

Everyone hates jagex
No one cares about whiners and conspiracy theories. Suck it up, or LEAVE, simple as that. We'd be better off without you anyway.
