The end of trading and PKing as we know it?
Though its certainly a possibility, personally it won't affect me. It'll be bad for people who've been members or just players for so long to accept these changes and some won't, but players like me who will be trying out membership for the first time, or just starting RS, will just accept that this is the way to go and not mind it. I hate to be part of the blindly devout group but sadly this time I am.

Why don't we have a sky render?
I love how some people get so defensive over such sad sad little things...not naming any names you know who you are :) Personally I've never paid attention to anything above the horizon and likely never will. I play RS for the unreality of it not the realistic aspects, so sky = who cares. Theres a good article that I think speaks wonders about subjects like this, you might recognize it  [hide] Realistic Games? No thanks. The Editor Ah yes, the video game Next Gen Wars. You hear about them everyday, games that ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åare the future̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Obvious problem with the GE?
You clearly don't understand the GE nor have you used it. If you would bother even trying it you'd know most items by now can't be bought quickly if at all at minimum price and that you actually have to pay the recommended price if not higher. Come back and cry about it when you've actually tried it, no one cares about senseless and pointless whining. BTW the GE is really a dream come true for true skillers and merchanters, because now I don't need to spend weeks selling one batch of items for low prices, I just sell everything quickly on the GE.

Is it me or do you think of this too?
I've got a barbed tongue especially when it comes to noobs, and who knows how many times i may have been reported... But none of that matters because I've never gotten any messages from Jagex and have zero black marks on my account :P Best advice: just ignore noobs, don't let yourself get angry.

Will anyone be left to play RS in 5 years?
Though its silly to even predict what will happen in 5 years... I'm sure a lot of players will still be here, including me, and for every player that will leave up to that point, another two will take their place.

I Have the Right to Remain Silent
We don't want to play in silence, we want to play while talking to intelligent people and our friends, not noobs. Learn the difference before you post snappy comments.

I Have the Right to Remain Silent
Since you don't even rank in any highscores I don't think you have a right to say that ignoring noobs is easy. As a high level player one gets TONS of noob requests that it actually impedes gameplay. Earn the right, then you can flame us.

Let everyone have a merry christmas!!!
Hopefully this works out for you, BTW you should change your title to "Happy Holidays, or Seasons Greetings", since not everyone celebrates Christmas ;)

Should F2P get skill capes?
Well quoted NJE03, I was mislead by that original announcement too... =( 1. 90% of new players are NOT bots 2. bots don't get banned in 2 weeks, most stick around for ages.

Grand Exchange Petition
Sorry if you don't want any constructive criticism, but its more than 5% for some items, the range is actually quite reasonable for almost all items. The G.E. would not work for large price ranges because then you'd have no idea what people are willing to pay for the item. EDIT: Some prices are low for a reason now. Just because they "costed" so-and-so before the update just means people blindly payed that much. Now its coming to light that there are people who are willing to sell for much less, which is FAIR. Why should people who don't work hard earn easy money.

One Letter Names?
FYI seriously everyone will have forgotten about it in a month, and most people really don't care...The rants of not even 100 players won't cause Jagex to change what it does. O/T - 'god' is the coolest RSN ever, even has stats in the highscores, probably doesn't play anymore though... EDIT: I should have put that this was a reply to someone saying the duel update won't affect everyone

I Have the Right to Remain Silent
This shouldn't be relied on heavily either, high level players auto as well, its foolish to be so naive. Why just two weeks ago I was mining coal and superheating it into rune bars in the mining guild and i happen to notice a lvl 117 with a trimmed attack skill cape. Out of pure curiosity I pop the question: "Mining level (insert name)?". I got no response and just assumed the player was being rude or muted or whatever. Lo and behold, 1 minute later the same player gets a rock golem random event. I was expecting the player to either kill it quickly or just run away, and therefore i was surprised when they ran a little bit, were attacked by the range strikes of the golem and auto-attacked it. It got stranger yet as the player ran a little bit away once again after taking some damage, and then was reeled in for a second time. This cycle continued for a good 10 minutes, up to the point where the player was dropped to about 5 hitpoints, maybe less, and the golem just disappeared for no reason. The player remained stationary for another 5 minutes after. Now I know this isn't absolute proof that they were autoing, but from my point of view it was definitely an autoer. Before I'm flammed for assuming, this was no tactic for killing the golem, since they were taking damage while they tried to run and stay away, plus the player was fishy from the start (this post is long enough already, I'm not going to go into further detail). Just some food for thought, not all autoers are low level players.

I Have the Right to Remain Silent
You make some good points :) I too get really ticked off when noobs, for lack of a better word, continuously pester me when I high-alch. Since I want to get through the most material as fast I can, I usually just alch and don't reply to lame statements like? "10k fo ur wiz g??" "wat is da light??" "kun" "lvl 91!" "plz free stuf" and the list goes on and on... over and over till they get bored or angry enough to shut up Its ridiculous that these people demand a reply, when I honestly couldn't care less. Don't get me wrong though, I don't ignore everyone, as long as they act decent and attempt to speak as a normal person, not a begging 10 yr old. Its things like this that really make me feel sorry for people who've been perm. muted, I just hope Jagex doesn't take lame reports from noobs like this seriously...But i guess they don't since i'm well past 99 mage and yet to get a single black mark on my account. I have to the right to ignore if i want :)

items harder to sell now? or just a hype?
As long as your prices are reasonable its sells extremely quickly. Only today i've sold about 20m of goods and bought another 15m myself, uber good xp for me and i don't even have to stand around in a bank for ages either.

?ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃ¿?ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃ¿?ÃÆââ¬Å¡ÃâÃ¿ Why Jagex Killed Staking ?ÃÆââ¬Å
Woah! Someone honestly needs a chill-pill... It doesn't take a lot of brainpower to understand that though this might not be cold hard fact, it does make LOGICAL sense, and is likely ONE OF the many reasons Jagex decided to do what it did. Some people need to see beyond the screen and realize problems can overflow into REAL LIFE if they get out of hand. As to 3% of all players quitting because of all this? Thats just laughable for many reasons, the first being that just because you don't play for a week doesn't mean you've quit. PS. I'm referring to the original quoted text not anything else said on the rest of this thread.

99 ranged
Very nice! At the rate you're going we're going to be expecting all 99's pretty soon ;) GL :P

Grand Exchange Your Pros and Cons
To be honest that was completely uncalled for, kinda disappointing to see slur like that coming from such a high level player... On-topic: Con: some prices are a little bit funky Pro: almost everything else, particularly i hated standing in w1 for ages

A question for all of you elitist skillers
The fact that you would go to all this to prove how ironically arrogant you are yourself sums it all up quite nicely. I personally have nothing against a group of people, no matter the circumstance, if you're not like that, its called prejudice in the nicest settings. I judge individuals by their actions. I wonder what that makes you?

26 November 2007 - The Grand Exchange
Proof that the grand exchange works for masses of cheap items (with an explanation :P) I put the 180k air runes up onto the exchange about 4 hours ago, I was terribly disappointed that for the longest time nothing happened. Then suddenly my airs started selling uber quickly, in weird amounts, like only 1 air, then 500, even thousands at a time. My conclusion: trades come at a first come first serve basis. So my airs had a particular place in line, and once my trade was at the top, all airs being bought were coming from my trade. PS. All in all from the time the first air was sold to the last maybe 3 minutes passed in total. --> People ARE using the exchange even for small items :)

thats the most pathetic appeal statement i've ever seen you clearly do not regret breaking the rules and from your appeal its clear you do not show any remorse and couldn't care less about following the rules in the future

Will there be any impact of duel arena update on rares?
Prices have absolutely plummeted for most rares, they're sort of all over the place. But, once the people who only stayed for staking leave and freeze their rares along with them i think the price will stabalize and after a while go right back up again. Theres always money to be made and the best way to show you've got money is with rares. They'll never drop permanently in price, they'll just fluctuate, sometimes just more dramatically.
