I was not sure about the idea of inviting others to my party for the simple fact that I didn't know if they would be interested. Its a pretty general cut and dry thing you know just get the level and get the cape :lol: Thanks for the bout of confidence though, I will definitely add you and hopefully we can get our capes together. I haven't had any quarrels with the new updates. In-fact the only problem I have with this new guy is the fact that he won't answer my question!!! (So what.. so he had a couple thousand questions.. big deal :oops: )

Actually, you still get 200k exp/hour (I am relatively sure I do with my own alter) which was pretty much a little less than average for a medium speed clicker prior to the update. (Faster clickers and mouse key users could get 300k-400k exp/hour) I personally have started prayer training again thanks to this update, and let me tell you it's still a drag like it was before, except now I can at least entertain myself with the forums instead of umm.. the RS screen? ... and I can talk to friends or people using my alter which is great.

Pretty much this, I enjoy looking good in life, so pretty much subconsciously I decide the same in RS and dress in what I think looks nice. (Yes I am saving for an outfit of my own that will probably cost me 200m or more) Gives me something to shoot for.

I personally don't skip any, maybe the occasional black demon task, but with no Warped or Scarabites (no quests) and Metals, Waterfiends and Wyverns blocked, I get no bad tasks.

That is very slow. And Guthan's doesn't keep up with black demons? What's your defence level? Although it is slow, it is cheaper and a preference. I usually do them this way or I just go with what everyone else suggested (prosy + melee protect) It depends on the mood of the day. Also, I have 99 defence and it is rather hard to keep up with guthans. I find myself prayer flashing to keep up with the healing.

I personally sucked it up and got the helm first doing all the tasks up until I had enough to block tasks. I did go 100 points over the cost of the help though so I had a few extra points to cancel Wyvern tasks. Personally, I have: Iron Dragons Steel Dragons Skeletal Wyverns Waterfiends as my blocked list. (I recognize waterfiends as a good task and even better crimson dropper, however I do NOT want str exp, so I block them)

Me personally, being one whose in the market for one of those would say to keep it. Why not, do you need the money?? If not I would wait till they start to drop then sell it for 5m cheaper then what they are going for.. either way it should be a decent amount more than you are getting now. Just do GWD for cash since you have the supplies. If you think the 3rd age mage top is a waste, think about how much you are wasting in potential gain from the supplies for GWD sitting in your bank. At least the 3a will go up in price, I doubt the supps will (at least not too noticeably)

Put it like this... woodcutting is BAD money. No matter how you look at it, it's bad. (yes upside-down, inside-out, rightside-out no matter how it's bad money) So this is what you should do: First, get 99 woodcutting as fast as possible, personally I would went with teaks using the cut and drop or cut and burn (let someone else burn of course). Now that you are done with woodcutting, a bad money maker, you have a lot of leftover time. This time can be spent doing something that is not woodcutting for far more gp/hour than woodcutting could ever hope to be. Thus resulting in you gaining even more money to get good gear and a quest cape with, than you would have if you took the long way with wc'ing. Get what I am saying? Look at it like this: Woodcutting will take you roughly: 160 hours with teaks all the way (That's 70k exp/hour, quite easy, especially if you find a burner) or 293 hours your way.(Teaks 79-85-70k exp/hr, Yews 85-95-42k exp/hr, Magics 95-99-30kexp/hr) **Magic tree exp/hour is at level 99 woodcutting** With teaks you gain 0gp but save 133 hours! With your plan you gain 13,640,799 (31,503*433) worth of Yews and 21,621,936 (17,052*1,268) worth of Magics for a grand total of 35,262,735 gp. Spread that over 293 hours spent to get 99 and you have 120,351 gp made per hour *Prices are as of March 29th, 2009 So with teaks you save 133 hours but you have to make up 35,262,735 gp to make it worthwhile to go with teaks. You have to be able to make more than 265,133 gp per hour in order for that to be reasonable. Well, with the current dragon bone prices (which by the time you get 99 will be close to if not exactly what they were before this prayer update) you can kill green dragons for about 650k gp/hour (with near maxed melees) So at your melee stats I can say confidently that you can get at least 300k gp/hour at green dragons. And that's if prices go back to 2k ea bone, if they stay at 2.5k ea bone then you can gross more even with a bit more crowding. So taking that number which I am sure could be higher if you tried, we can say that you could gross at LEAST 39,900,000 which is 4,637,265 gp more in the same amount of time. OR You can get 35,262,735 in 118 hours at the rate of 300k gp/hour (w/ green dragons) and have 15 extra hours to spend doing quests or whatever else you would like to do. Does that make sense?

Thanks. The goals have been going rather fluently, I got 88-95 fishing in a month, so I should definitely finish that before May. Prayer should be done by the end of this week and I can start mining right after fishing. It all comes down to mining. If i can finish that by August then I have more than enough time for the rest of them. So if mining and life (outside of rs you know reality) go according to plan then I am golden for this goal to be complete on time. ----------------- Revamped the OP, made progress reports so everyone (and myself) can keep track of how I am doing so far.

Simple as that.. Debate. Personally I am a firm believer in using the Alter, as not only do you spend much less time gaining the prayer exp, with that saved time you can go remake the money you spent. All this can be done with the time it takes to ecto the bones + remake the money.. with even more time to spare to profit or gain more exp in a different skill. It's called efficiency people.. try it. I would like to see anyone with calculations and facts (not opinions and false numbers) to prove me wrong about thinking an alter is the better choice. Again I say, debate.

Red mask penguim. I think that would be best. They are not too expensive anymore either.. The Dragon full helm makes your neck look like you have been lifting weights for 30 years and now you have no neck. I personally like wearing my hood with elegant, but I guess the hood + melee armor don't mix.

I have never heard of a granite mace before.. However, if you mean granite MAULS.. then those are dropped by Gargoyles which are in the Slayer Tower or Chaos Tunnels. They require a rockhammer to kill them, but you only need it for the final hit. A crush attack style works best.

Yes that looks as though AFK training is reportable under rule 7. Meaning even if you are leaving your keyboard to go get a drink or even to the restroom, you must log out of RS. However, is it at all possible for them to really tell if you ran the the restroom or kitchen or whatever?.. Not likely. I believe the idea of the rule is more-so based around the use of Bots which people can leave running and then walk away from the computer. That is where the AFK rule comes into play.

I believe prayer pots, right now, are the best gp/exp. Go with those.

Simply put, NO. (not trying to sound too harsh) 89 combat just doesn't cut it. Train those skills. You are going to want 80 (at least) all melees and mage. As well as 70 prayer, because most teams only allow you on if you can bless graves. Train yourself up, you are not too far off, but you still have a ways to go. As of now though, I would not bother as, unless you are a very lucky guy, you would be hard pressed to profit there with all the food/pots you would be using. Hell, you would be lucky to find a team, let alone worry about drops.

+ You answered you own question right there. If you do something you enjoy for one it won't seem like "forever" or grinding and secondly, you will feel much more "accomplished" (if you can call it that) that you finished a goal that you actually enjoyed instead of just went for to get an item. 99 slayer does take time, but you have to start somewhere, and 70 is a decent level to start at. I say go for slayer, get your combats to 99 along the way. Enjoy the money you gain and the combat levels as well. Then when you finally reach 99 slayer enjoy one of the most respected items in the game.

Its a status symbol, or at least use to be, and for those of us who "grew up" (played for awhile) and could never afford one it is usually a goal of ours (or at least me and the thread creators) to own a phat. It's just one of those items that's nice to have. I know for a fact that even if yellows were still 180m I would still be saving up to buy my own. I want my yellow, white and blue phat. Then I can quit RS a happy man.

F2P is not a "lead up" or even a "demo" for members... It's the actual game. Members just pay for the bonus skills, items, games and areas. But to answer your question, OP, skill capes are members only and I am 99% sure they will stay that way.

Well as we all know (or at least most of us) the Worlds were offline for about 10-15 mins. After they were back online, I logged in but then got kicked off again. Ever since then I have not been able to log back in because it tells me "Your account has not logged out from its last session. Try again in a few minutes." Well that was 20 minutes ago... I figured if I waited 5 for the auto-log out to occur then I would be fine, but umm 20 minutes later and I still, apparently, haven't logged out. Am I being hacked :-s or do I just have to wait this out (which is what I will have to do anyway) I am not worried, I have recoveries and a bank pin, but I would rather not be removed from my fishing spot as I do not feel like walking back there (lol) :oops:

Stick with the skirt. 1m left over is hardly enough to strive off of. (Yes I read, you will be getting more money back) But if you are doing hunter what good will tassets do you sitting in the bank? Hold off on it, the price isn't going anywhere. If, when you finish hunter, you feel as though it is absolutely necessary to buy the Tassets, then by all means buy them. By the time you figure out there is no difference (other than looks) from a Verac skirt the price will still be the same and you can resell them to another person.
