  1. No dont burthorpe the last 10 :XD: . You will miss out on a chance at a vissage or other d drop.
  2. I got your number 1 rule. DONT be afraid to bank. Someone told me that before I did the quest and I remembered during the quest. I did about 3-4 bank runs and it was pretty easy. I beat it in 4 hours which really isn't that long of a time. And I would suggest bringing monk robes or initiate/procylite(sp?) and 3-5 p pot (4), 1 agil pot, 3-5 sup energies 4 sharks, dds(or any other dragon weap I used scimmy) and a prayer book and 1 rope(you can get this latter you dont need it until like the 3rd or 4th door or something like that) Leave the rest of your invent open for the mirrors and gems, they tend to take up quite a bit of invent space. It should be rather easy though. Pray whenever you see a shadow getting ready to attack you, so you don't waste prayer points while mindlessly running around when there is nothing near you. Eat 1 shark when you are about 25-30 hp below your hp level.(those shadows hit a ton... I got hit for a 15 when I was wearing procylite and I have 99 defence  )
  3. I second this. (And its not just because this question is asked a lot here, gets annoying to answer and is pretty pointless... ) If you don't know how to spend your money on what's best for you... then how in the world will other people know how you can spend it to benefit you. Every suggestion you get here is what these people would buy with the same amount of money so just about every suggestion will have a bias... Like me personally, I would say to save it and buy something when you need it. (And sure enough if I picked 12m up off the ground, it would go into my bank and sit there till I needed to buy something.) PS: sorry if I sound angry or whatever. Its not you its me :P
  4. I would say avoid buying a GS unless you absolutely really cant live without one. Plain and simple. Plus the cheapest GS (Zammy) really isn't worth its price. All it is, is a way to show off money  .
  5. Im actually almost positive that the yews would be faster. You can cut 5k yews (or at least I did) in a week if you play a minimum of about 3-4 hours a day. If you are playing more than 3-4 hours a day, lets say 5-7... yews are the way to go. Plus with less bots in the game, when you get done with that 50k yews, sometime in January, the price should skyrocket! So in the long run it would be worth the yews > the willows.
  6. No offence but I am guessing the task is at least above 80 of them. It would be silly at 65 range and 75 att/str to consider killing mother drags. I suggest you save your money, go to tav dungeon and kill baby blues for fast slayer and prayer exp. Also they are decent melee exp so its not like you are losing anything but money and about double the slayer exp (which sounds good in theory but its really going to take awhile to get) On top of that, 80+ blue dragon mothers, dependent on how much you play would be a, would just be a huge waste of time and banking. I guarentee anyone that is training slayer that wants slayer exp kills the baby blues. Unless they have 90+ range or 85+ att/str... Just saying. The question is (and always will be) Do you want CASH or EXPERIENCE??
  7. Daggs under the light house are more profitable to train on than fire giants.. But fires are more social and easier to afb(away from browser) train. (AFK training is against the rules  ) Other than that I dunno.. I think you can guthan abby demons too but unless you got 85 slayer that's kinda pointless
  8. The cannon doesn't help out your hp exp worth a dam. Personally I wouldn't train using a cannon either, I dunno maybe thats just me... I would rather just use a bone c-bow and kill fire giants and blue dragons (on occasion) But with your cannon you could always go to the daggs under the lighthouse for a nice change of pace :)
  9. Rock crabs or experiments are always popular no matter what your level. I am 111 combat and I still enjoy training at experiments. Other than that you can train on mossies. If you have the agil lvl for it its pretty fast to bank all your drops in edge, get food then go through the agil shortcut in edge dungeon to where the mossies are. Other than that I really don't know as I did all my training up to like 90 combat at rock crabs and experiments. :anxious:
  10. You cant train att with a guthan spear so you should bring along a whip defender and secondary armor. The most popular secondary armor set up I have seen is rune pl8 or torso and dragon skirt or legs. If doing slayer then a black mask. If not doing slayer then a nietz helm. --- Personally I always enjoyed training at fire giants with guthans but bandits are cool to I guess.
  11. Not true, same speed. Also same max hits, knifes have higher accuracy though. I stand corrected. Havent used knives in awhile, seen ppl using darts tho. I have been on the Bone Bow Bandwagon for to long :anxious:
  12. I forgot about that. Nice idea BTW I think I mat try this when I str train again, should be around Nevuary the 1st :-w :P But really though this is a great option as well and for about 5m you can train faster than the scimmy and long. Consider, also, to train while doing slayer so you can use the black mask for its percentage bonus' for att and str while on a task. Very good idea.
  13. Well lets see here.. you are sick of skilling... you want to train combat!... your main has bad combat stats... so you are making a pure?? :-k :-k :-k Hmm I don't see what the hard decision is here.. Sorry for being sarcastic but I mean if your MAIN has terrible combat stats and you want to train combat... don't you think this is the perfect opportunity?? Just accept the fact that pures are pretty much a waste of time (just like they always have been  ) and use your MAIN account..
  14. knives hit harder for a fraction less of the speed if darts and they are also easier to come by. Dart are by far the fastest attacking weapon in the game but meh nothing really special about them other than that. Personally I would say iron knives, but since you are a member, then why not jump on the bone c-bow bandwagon. Its extremely cheap to join \ :XD: But on a serious note, bone crossbow is the best thing to use in training and you can get 4 times more bone bolts than iron knives for 100k.
  15. You can rack up 1m at anything you can camp at. I mean you could make 200m off dust devils if you camped there long enough to get 20 d chains.. which would take probably a year if your lucky  The BEST thing to do would be GWD, but with your stats thats impossible. Next up is DK's again useless with the stats, which brings us to.. barrows, you cant protect melee, useless to barrow... KQ?? nope stats are again to low. See where this is going? Try training skills up on things that make you less profit that way you can make the big money later. I would definatly say do waterfall quest and kill fire giants for the great alchable drops and what not... also stop hoping for fast money. Remember fast money dont last you gotta pace it. Learn the value of a dollar and you can make it last longer. Sorry to preach but its true.. To many ppl see rares and expensive armor and don't know the actual time and work that person put into getting that rare/expensive equip... either that or they are extremely lucky. :-#
  16. Personally for str training I prefer d long over scimmy anyways so you could definatly give that a try. Other than that there really is no other good weapon to train str with that is under 1m.. all the others (Sara sword and godswords) are 20m+ You will get alot of debate and opinions on this thread, so really going out and trying your training with both the scimmy and long will let you know which is best for you. Just remember they both train about evenly, the longs hits more accurately while the scimmy hits faster, so its all really just preference. Plus with the long you get 4 nice specs that can hit rather high and make you feel good about yourself
  17. Well from 61(ish) agil to 70 would cost 1k tickets if I remember correctly. In the past it would of been faster to get to 70 using wildy, but I keep hearing that revants are destroying would-be agility trainers -.- Dependent on what your level is now, I guess you could do brimhaven until 70, or try that penguin course :? .
  18. I would suggest killing the baby blues. It takes a heck of alot of time off your task and makes things a whole heck of alot faster. Plus you won't get as bored since 65 range + blue drags = a week on 1 slayer task. I'd rather get it done in a day (or 2), wouldn't you?
  19. its about 2 marrentils per trip. that is if you are teleporting to house then using house glory to edge and teleport back. if you are doing it with a friend then they are supposed to last longer but not by much. its still roughly 2 marrentills per load of bones Thanks for the info, im gonna need alot of marrs then :?
  20. It depends. If you have 96 mage then Lunars is the one to use. The spell-book swap spell makes switching to moderns for that teleport to Fally, Ardy, Varrock, Lumby etc etc a snap. If you are under 96 mage then just stick with modern spellbook.
  21. to my knowledge no. Since mage training arena is Member Only.
  22. Finished MEP2... time to make death runes!! ooo ahhhh =D> \
  23. Iron dragons are the best thing to kill for a visage drop. The speed at which you can kill them is generally the same as black drags only they have more valuable drops. I mean I made a total of probably 250k-ish by alching my black drag drops, and I have killed over 500, possibly in the 6-7 hundred range. Still no visage, got a nice shiny addy plate tho  At least at irons I got a D skirt, rune limbs and blood/souls to pay for any costs I may have accumulated, and if worse comes to worse the d bones are there to help with pot costs. Also, if you are maging, anti fire pots dont cost alot anyway so why not kill irons.
