  1. You know full well we mean "worlds where the place you're going to train is not filled with people already training there". And by your own admission: You said "to hell with 'em", and didn't bother to find a world where the least amount of people would be impacted by your cannon.
  2. I'm with you on this one. I also switch to find an empty world, I do think that it is pretty rude to plonk down a cannon in a really populated spot... Make mine a third vote for "you can, but that's really rude and lazy of you to not hop a little to find a less than populated world." I'd bet dollars to donuts that you like doing it in a popular world, annoying people, thinking you can "show off" to those that don't have one. Does doing that make you a 'noob'? Well, I don't use that word. But it does make you the kind of rude, anti-social person I'd never want to be around.
  3. If that IS the case, that's kinda rotten. I too, lacking bankspace, destroyed it on the assumption that I could get another one back. Of ccourse, Jagex might have meant "You can get another one back, when you need it again, when we release the next Fremennik Isles quest." That does stink, because from what I later read here on tip.it, each piece was +5 mage, which would make the cap and boots some of the best mage equipment in the game :( Had I known, at the very least I would have kept the hat and boots.
  4. I imagine he lagged.
  5. Worlds 2, 6 and 9 are usually the best. If I can't log into those worlds after a few minutes of trying, I'll go to world 100.
  6. Smelting cannonballs is quite good. You don't have to worry about the spot moving, or the tree being cut down. The only dangers are logging out due to inactivity, or randoms (which you have to worry about no matter what you're doing, fishing, cutting, smelting, etc.).
  7. Thanks for the help. Now that you've told me, I realize I should have just retraced my steps through the quest guides. Thanks again for accomodating my laziness
  8. I started Monkey Madness some time ago, and quit. Now I want to get back via glider, I suppose. How do I do that? I'm a bit lost. King Narode at the gnomes only asks how I'm doing. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.
  9. Best place to spin bowstrings: Neitznot Bank and spinning wheel are "technically" close enough to click on one from the other. IE, when spinning, you can click to bank, and when in bank, you can click to spin. It's hard, but possible. Seers is gonna get lonely...
  10. Your question is very over-broad. You can do whatever you want to do. I recommend you refine and restate just what it is your after...
  11. OK, good. So I'm not crazy. Well, at least about this...
  12. Are you guys running back and forth to Yanille Bank? I tele to house, and the use the glory in my house to go to Edgeville bank, and can do the 1K/hour. But running back and forth takes about twice as long, I've found...
  13. I imagine a round trip would be about 3 minutes, and you'd need 40 trips. 2 hours.
  14. With the best burners lit, 5,796 prayer XP.
  15. Keep in mind dragons have very good magic resistance, and are very good melee attackers. What's more, Elvarg is tougher than regular green dragons. So you absolutely need an anti-dragon shield, and mage attacks are ill advised. If you're P2P, I'd advise the best knives you can wield, since using a bow precludes the use of the shield. No matter what you do, bring the best food you have available.
  16. Where exactly did you see this 15% figure? I went to the Game Update release to make sure, and... I searched high and low for some kind of official word on how much better the Dragon Axe was, and could not find any. Hence, why I started my own analysis. "Slightly better" doesn't sound like much at all. And considering that Jagex's description of Gloves of Silence was "Your chances of being successful at pickpocketing are greatly increased", yet the analyses I saw on RSOF were all somewhere between a 1-4% increase, well, I wanted to find out what "slightly better" really means in hard, concrete terms.
  17. If you suspect someone of macroing, simply report them and be done with it. If you report them for macroing, Jagex will check and ban them if they are, in fact, cheating. Threatening to report is actually a violation of rule 10 (Misuse of Customer Support). Don't blurt out "Tell me your fishing level or I'll report!". That's a bad idea if there's a mod somewhere nearby... There's always a chance it's a player who doesn't want to be bothered talking with 12 year olds, and has public chat off.
  18. There are a few flaws in that analysis. First of all, in my experiment I'm getting 215 Yews/hour with the Dragon, and 199 with the Rune. I'm getting 16 more Yews/hour (4.8K gp/hour ... Yews are 300-320 nowadays). And I don't need to make up the whole 3.1 million gp cost of the Dragon Axe. I can still re-sell it at some point. What one needs to worry about is possible depreciation in value of the Dragon Axe (as the price of said axe is known to fluctuate at at times). Every 21 hours spent woodcutting (~4.5K yew logs) you get an extra 100K for having used the Dragon Axe. So if you bought the Dragon Axe for 3.2 Million, cut 10K Yews, and then sold for 3.0 Million, you'd be slightly ahead of the game.
  19. One thing I've learned during my brief time here at tip.it, is that there is a built in contrarian crowd to any idea that is presented. So no matter what idea, no matter how good or clever, will always have a certain number of folks who will come out and dismiss it for one reason or another. Not necessarily the same folks for every idea, but every idea will generate some resistance. You're not gonna please everyone, not matter what you do. You could have an idea to give away 1 million gp to everybody on tip.it, and a small number of folks would wonder "Why doesn't he just do 2 million?". I think it's a good idea, though. An extra five seconds every 2-3 90-second trips (when I'm already taking time to drink my super energy pot) is really not gonna ruin my margins.
  20. N64jive, for your particular question, I go at it like this: 2 Rune loads 4 Dragon loads 4 Rune loads 4 Dragon loads 4 Rune loads 2 Dragon loads Everyone else, thanks for the kind words. Hopefully I get some meaningful analysis out of this at the end. I'm actually quite surprised at the Dragon Axe's performance so far.
  21. Despite what all the invincible superheroes are on here are saying, that boost would be quite helpful. A 10% bonus still makes a difference. Especially when you have a glory, full black and your pouches on the line. It helps stop the spell from working, and it will help against DDS specials. It could be the difference between banking your items or dying outside the teller window. Thanks for the advice.
  22. Suqah Tooth - The tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth.
  23. The reality is, the account being use to get your information is probably just the last poor slob who fell for the scam.
  24. Jagex will never contact you in-game. If he starts asking you for information like passwords or personal information, report him right away, then put him on ignore.
