12AM GMT = 7PM EST However, I cannot collect until after 10PM or so EST time (believe me, I've tried earlier), so I'm not quite sure ChenW has it right. I believe each player has their own set time when they can collect, based upon when they first finished the initial quest or something.
  2. You don't. You paste the screen capture into MSPaint (and please crop it to a managable size), save the pic to your computer as a *.gif, upload it to an imagehosting website like imageshack.us, and link to the hosted picture. There are detailed instructions somewhere in the forums. Do a search for "imageshack.us", and you should get more details. EDIT: Yeah, what he said.
  3. Smelting cannonballs Crafting Natures/Laws Cutting and planking teaks/mahogany Alching Yew Longs Fletching iron arrows from scratch I try to keep things interesting and generally don't stick with one thing over another.
  4. Level 20 and above = no tele.
  5. Pretty much every tree, fruit tree and allotment plant can be protected, either by paying the farmer to watch them, or planting a particular flower that will protect those crops against disease. If you use tip.it's guide, you won't ever lose another crop again.
  6. Can we ask why? Hunter is growing on me, but onceyou go back to F2P, none of what you did in members will make a difference. On the other hand, if you get a whip and kill dragons for dragon bones, that attack and prayer xp will stay with you in F2P. It seems a bit unusual. Hunter is kinda fun, but ...
  7. LOL. Four days ago I was 32 hunting. I realized what these things could do, how much money I'm spending, how much they're gonna be worth, and realized I gotta get to work on this skill.
  8. Another reason I want to hop on this is because I fear one of two things may happen: 1. Prices for Chinchompas, as fewer and fewer people are doing hunting and stockpiling Chinchompas, will begin rising dramatically. If people are willing to pay 10gp/xp for cannonballs, imagine how that will inflate the price of Chinchompas i(currently around 2gp/xp) f they become widely used? What's worse, the higher your range level, the better the hitting, the better the damage, and more valuable the Chinchompas will be. I really think the current market for these critters is at the floor right now, while Chinchompa power is still largely unrealized by Runescapers as a whole. Over time, I expect the market for Chinchompas to fluctuate dramatically, but will eventually settle on a price. I suspect that price will be significantly higher than it currently is now (200-300). 2. Jagex may tone these puppies down, granting only 2 or maybe 1 xp/hit like they do with cannonballs. I just checked and realize I went from 73-80 in 8 days. Good gawd.
  9. I'm not entirely sure, as I've been doing it on and off for 3-4 weeks, not really keeping good records on it. I'd estimate about 8K Chinchompas/ 2 million gp's worth, to get about 1.5 million range xp (64-80). Granted, there's about 400K xp in PC bonuses in there, too.
  10. Well, the idea that I (the original poster) am working on does not actually involve pest control. So that's not entirely material at this point. While the other idea has some potential, the primary training exercise I envision is quite different. I still need to run a few tests, and would like to keep it under wraps until I get it up and running successfully. I'm just trying to gauge the number of folks both interested, and willing to shell out 1-2 million on exploding rodents :D
  11. Well, if we start this up, keep us in mind. If this works out as I'm hoping it will, most people will get really into range training...
  12. Where is it you train this way? I tried going under the lighthouse to train on dagganoths, but it really wasn't anywhere near as much XP as Pest Control. The drops weren't all that great either in the brief time I was there going through about 5 prayer pots. could usually only get 2-4 dagganoths in the chinchompas splash effect.
  13. And waterskins, and keep an eye on them. I stopped paying attention one day, PMing frineds, and lost a few 100K in items after the waterskins ran out. Or at least I think that's what happened...
  14. I wore the Rabbits Foot cutting teaks one day one or two weeks ago, and got about 1 birds nest every 2-3 loads, on average, over a few hours. Two days ago I cut Teaks for an hour and got nothing. I tried yesterday, cutting yews for a few hours, and got 1 birds nest while cutting about 20-30 loads. Yeah, I think they changed something.
  15. Ditto. Can't charge more than that at one time, so I realized any more than that doesn't help. Ditto that ditto. Had 29 at one point, but gave 2 away to friends who joined members, and haven't really seen the need to buy any others. Have about 8 more dragonstones, but holding on to them till I can craft dragonstone amulets.
  16. I hated range too. Until I discovered the Red Chinchompa  Probably. I like making up my own latinate-english terms. Like "Buencho nachos" or "Au Revlon" and stuff. I'm kinda dumb like that.
  17. That's one idea I hadn't thought of. But there are others... :D
  18. One of the reasons I like farming is the quality of player you find Farming. Not to be a Farm Supremacist or anything, but Farmers are just better than everybody else :P I think people who Farm are generally more mature. Granted, there's an awful lot of "plant and run" (if you're trying to maintain all four major farming spots as well as hops and bush patches), but when you're in a patch with downtime, Farmers are more friendly and mature. Walk from the Catherby fishing area spam-fest, then walk to the Catherby farming patch. It's like walking from mayhem of Times Square into the calm of Central Park. I prefer the park.
  19. Anyone else absolutely love training range with Chinchompas? (EDIT: See a previous posting about Chinchompa power in PC: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=585910 ) I've gone from 64 to 80 Range in the 3-4 weeks with next-to-no effort using Red Chinchompas in Pest Control (as a secondary weapon), although it has been rather expensive (working out to be about 2gp per xp so far, although with each level the gp/xp cost goes down. Considering cannonballs are 10gp/xp, Chinchompas get you xp sooo much faster and sooo much cheaper). I was thinking of trying to get a crew together, tentatively named "Royal Chinchompadiers" (unless we can come up with a better name...), maybe start up a forum, where fellow Chinchompadiers can exchange training ideas and techniques, have training events. I've got an idea as to how to really maximize our training using those Rodentos de Morir, but wanna keep it a bit quiet for now, lest word get out ;-) I also worry that Jagex, once they realize the power of these creatures, are going to tone them down significantly. Like when cannonballs used to do 2xp per hit, but are now 1xp per hit (I could have sworn they were 2xp per hit some months ago, but correct me if I'm wrong). If you're interested, give a holler. If there's enough interest, I'm going to set up a forum for the Royal Chinchompadiers, and we'll see where it takes us :D Thanks in advance. EDIT: forgive me if this is being seen as some kind of recruitment thread. At this point, I'm just getting a feel for the level Chinchompa-thusiasm out there. Should I actually start something up, I'll post in the Clan Recruitment section.
  20. A friend said the same thing to me that when he bought his Santa in September/October for 28 million. Three months later Santas are now 23 Million. And dropping. Rare prices may recover, but it probably won't be for a long time. There's no telling what rares will do.
  21. I know that wearing melee armor, one's defense against mage goes down. Is there something similar for range? All mage armor seems to be neutral towards range, and most melee has a bonus vs. range (albeit somewhat modest). Is there anything a player can wear that will penalize the PC vs range? As of right now, I can't find anything.
  22. Do you have a player owned house? If so, you can usually find a copy of every book found in a quest in your bookcases.
  23. Buy 1K Steel Bars for 550-600 gp each. Smelt into cannonballs. Sell for 180 each. Repeat. After 4 loops through the process, taking 8 hours, you'll have your 60 smithing. And about 700-800k profit as well.
