Hmm, has range always hit double? I never got into melee distance against her with or without prayer.

Let her range/mage you or whatever she does, I think melee hits a bit harder or more often so you're better off with staying away from her. Good luck. :thumbsup: Edit: By the way I suggest using BOTH range and mage so you have more opportunities to attack her, not just one or the other.

I did this quest as a pure with 1 prayer/defense. It's completely possible it's just fairly difficult using only mage with bolt spells. I suggest either getting range to at least 50 for the use of the msb(if you don't already, if you do try getting 61 for rune c'bow) and/or raising your mage to 59 for the use of all the blast spells. This will make the Dagannoth mother much easier. Hope I helped.

Actually I think that if they introduced new Crystal items in a practical way, like, through a new Elf quest and crystal seeds with the whole 180k-900k recharge like the bow and shield, there is a chance that they would actually be used. Perhaps not extremely sought after/desired like many hyped up new items are at first, but perhaps at least as useful as the crystal shield and bow. I for one, really like crystal items and use the shield and bow a lot, and if new crystal items were introduced in the same way, I would use those too. P.S. Sorry for the off topic post, I just thought this was a good chance to input my two-cents on Crystal Items.

Pure, this is very, very well written so far, and I have a feeling that the story will be amazing if it keeps up like this. What I especially liked was the way that you gave fairly vivid first impressions of certain characters with very little description, which I thought was interesting. For example, the man clad in red and black robes was described: This immediately gave me the impression that he, possibly being of a certain important rank and maybe a direct adviser/reporter to the king, has a very arrogant air about him. I feel like this is a strong point in your writing because it allows readers to get a feel about the characters early on without having to learn too much about them in particular, which provides opportunities for evolving characters later on in the story. I also read the unedited version after reading NOM's comments about it, and I think you've made some very nice changes, which, overall makes for a better piece. Great job on this, and keep up the good work. I can't wait to read more. :thumbsup:

Yes I agree that the problem lies in timing. The dragon platebody was just release a little too late. Now that there are so many better and cheaper armors(barrows, bandos, ect), spending 20M+ on an item which isn't as good just isn't desirable.

Agreed, I can't really think of any new skills that would be coming out and regardless the current skills need to be worked on first.

Before the GE this was a very interesting idea. But now that you have the GE where you can put your items on for sale and just leave.. well.. player-owned shops really aren't necessary.

I find it laughable whenever someone calls me a noob tbh. If it bothers you that much use your ignore list more, but I can guarantee you that it will fill up pretty fast. If it's really that bad I suggest you turn your chat to friends or off so you don't have to deal with it at all. I promise you that Jagex will never make the word 'noob' reportable though.

Slayer is always worth it in my opinion. As your slayer level and combat levels increase you'll see a significant increase in the amount of profit you make from each task and also to answer your other question you should stay at Chaeldar(Lost City) until 100 CB F2P and then move on to Duradel.

Understandable that the plate is dropping simply because it's waaaaayyyy overpriced. I mean, it's really just a symbol of wealth and status rather than being useful as armor as there are many more choices that are much cheaper and efficient such as Barrows armor ect. I haven't played long enough to remember you, I don't think. I only played classic for about 2 months before rs2 came out. But regardless, feel free to add me, I enjoy making new friends. This is actually my third or so account that I had "started over". It actually started out as a pure until I gave up on my "main" and this became my number 1 priority, and now is no longer pure. :lol:
