  1. I've only had one dragon drop(skirt) and it gave me a great feeling. I feel that the feeling would be the same and the author was, as he guessed, just spoiled from his abundance of dragon drops. :D
  2. 70 Works for me.
  3. I've been getting a lot of black demon tasks too lately, I'm considering blocking them(after I get my slayer helm of course).
  4. Actually I wasn't aware that you could. And since I don't have a credit card/paypal or any of that jazz I don't think I could, even though I probably would at least once if I was able to.
  5. Since there's a 30k limit to the XP you can receive per day from assisting, most runecrafters realized that they could get much better XP from other methods and that the 30k a day wasn't worth it for Fast Free Laws, which is why it died.
  6. My Goals: Fire Cape Quest Cape All Skills 70+ (this is gonna be tough for some skills, i.e. RC) 85 Slayer Possibly a 99 That's about all I can think of off of the top of my head
  7. Note: Clearly I didn't play much over 2008 because, well, I needed a break from RS and it was a good decision. But anyway, this is over the course of a few months. Overall(+127) +13,243,065 Attack(75->83) +1,576,933 Defence(71->81) +1,394,249 Strength(81->85) +1,037,802 Hitpoints(79->86) +1,933,576 Ranged(75->83) +1,566,446 Prayer(52->64) +286,450 Magic(73->78) +659,218 Cooking(70) +13,356 Woodcutting(74->80) +912,329 Fletch(75->81) +1,132,286 Fish'n(66->72) +409,855 Firemaking(60->70) +500,665 Crafting(58->60) +52,949 Smith(50->51) +13,722 Mining(54-60) +113,406 Herb(50->53) +41,107 Agility(60->61) +37,357 Thieving(55->63) +198,195 Slayer(61->70) +474,381 Farming(47->55) +101,936 Runecraft(47->54) +74,532 Hunter(72->77) +566,390 Construction(53) +0
  8. Considering you're less than 80 defense I don't suggest switching the granite shield for an unholy book, though I don't think you should bring a void spinner. A bull ant is okay, but it may run out before you need more food. Since you're bringing 50 BTP tabs you should be able to last awhile. You may also want to bring around 200 alchs just in case you have an extremely good trip. Also as llamster said you're going to want to have 3-5 range pots. The only teleport you'll need is a Trollheim teleport to get there easily since you've done Eadgar's Ruse. Then you can just home tele to bank. Other than that you're set up is good for tanking. Good luck, and have fun.
  9. Well, I wouldn't suggest nat running, but since you're already 43 runecrafting it won't take long to get 44, and from there you should be good to go. : (If you don't have the money to buy glories/ess ect for Abyss RCing you should probably take in consideration the other suggestions of woodcutting yews/mining coal.)
  10. I would say Ankou if you have the Salve Amulet, or even better, the Salve Amulet(e) as they provide you with a 15 or 20 percent boost in attack and strength, respectively. They also take less food than fire giants if you're meleeing. Both Ankou and fire giants can be ranged or maged with a safespot as well. My suggestion would be Ankou for easier banking and less food used.
  11. I make tons of money off of: Toadflax. The price of the seeds is so much lower than the price of the herbs that even if 3/4 patches die you'll most likely break even. The seeds are around 460gp each and the clean herbs sell for about 2.2k at med price. The reason is because toadflax seeds are extremely common while the herbs aren't so much, and they are a main ingredient in Saradomin Brews.
  12. If he's using Rune C'bow and decent(Broad/addy+) bolts he shouldn't have a problem doing it without the safespot(if it's still there), just mage pray and range him to death. You may want to bring a prayer potion or two just in case because once your pray runs out you probably won't last long.
  13. Because I love TIF. I think I joined Zybez forums first but if you check my account there I think I have just over 100 posts while here I have much more because I love it here. It's just a good time. Community wins.
  14. I always have my bank prepared for f2p just in case I end up not being able to renew my membership. I don't just assume that I'll be able to, so I prepare for the worst(or best if I eventually quit because of f2p : )
  15. Personally I'd love coal in my stocking! I've got a lot of smithing training I want to do. Besides, coal is so expensive, i don't think santa could afford it...but overall, I enjoyed the article. p.s: Santa should put cabbage in people stockings instead of coal. Christmas cabbage bombing anyone? :ugeek:
  16. Yes, if the SODB counts as a clan then yes. I consider as a team though so that's what I selected.
  17. [hide=quotes] This one's true. Quest guides with more pictures are nice. Tip.it seems to have more text than visual in guides, which many people sometimes have trouble interpreting. Pictures do help me alot, and so I will have to say, for dessert treasure Or some harder quests... I will probably use runeHQ "I will probably use runeHQ" I probably would too, sometimes using the 2 guides makes everything clear. Otherwise RuneHQ is not that great. The calculators are nicer too, and I use those often but tip.it is better for like everything else and the site I'm planning to contribute to. Runehq has some decent quest guides but the site is WAY too laggy. I remember the first week I started my irl friend told me that if you kill white knights on christmas day you could get a santa hat. I died AT LEAST twenty times trying to get one :( [/hide] When I use two guides the second is usually Tip.It. Though the first isn't RuneHQ, Zybez quest guides are better than RuneHQ imo.
  18. There's also a nice iron rock triangle in the mines just east of Ardougne(where I've been working on 60 mining over the last day, should finish today). i dont think arhein is selling seaweed anymore.. or the charter ship people. just checked. He -absolutely- is. You just need to talk to him, not select trade. I do it every day! He also sells 40 pineapples a day for those farmers making supercompost who can't grow their own. : Even though I grow my own AND get the 40 a day.
  19. I know that it was! :) Was a group effort, and chibi just loves the way they go "Glorp" and wanted it in there :) Regardless it's pretty freakin' cool.
  20. Check the abandoned mine maps to find the entrance. If you're going to enchant your Salve Ammy, then definitely do this. It's great. You can also get your diary back from your bookcase in your player-owned house.
  21. Oh I got rick roll'd. Good one.
  22. It's actually pretty good except.. the eleven bunyips glorping, too many syllables kills it. You should capitalize all the "FIVE FORGING RINGS!" too as that would make it more like the 12 Days of Christmas song.
  23. Broad bolts are your best bet. Or bronze knives if you're fighting something in which Rune C'bow would be overkill. @ross_the_knight: I think he means that he's tired of hallying from a safespot and wants to train range now.
  24. Kill minotaurs at SoS for iron arrows, use iron arrows on them for ranging experience and delicious irony. Note that except for smelting bars, anything you do will lose money at smithing. The best way would probably be rings of forging + iron. Mine the oars at Varrock East, craft/enchant the rings if you can, otherwise buy them for about 1.1k each, and make plates to alch to recoup some of your losses. Rings of smelting are p2p. He is f2p. Stick with steel bars. That's really the only reasonable way to get smithing up. Even though the xp is terrible... Steel bars are slow but since you are looking for a cheap method of raising smithing they are the way to go. You'll actually profit from them rather than lose money.
  25. That's actually pretty slow training. If you're not worried about losing money then bronze knives at the Ogres in King Lanthas' training ground are decent. Or something like experiments where they have low defense/high hp.
