  1. I enjoy all skills. I feel that if you take advantage of everything available to you it makes the game more fun overall. \
  2. I agree with you on most points, except not all people that PK find excitement in it the same way. True most experienced PKers quickly get bored when people always eat and are never in danger of being KOed which essentially takes all the fun and risk out of PKing for them. But when you find a newer, less experienced PKer, or maybe someone who doesn't have as much money to afford their gear if they lose it and wants to experience the thrill without the risk of losing their items, then they safe because PKing is still fun, while at the same time they can save themselves from being KOed. This, admittedly, is no fun for the other player to whom the thrill of victory by KOing is a big part of PKing to them.
  3. An abbreviation every now and then doesn't bother me, it's only natural when on the internet. But when people start to go out of their way to make even the simplest sentences ridiculously hard to read to all but the most accomplish "1337-speaker" that's when it really, really starts to get on my nerves. I literally wish I could reach through my computer screen and slap some sense into them. Ex. of something that doesn't bother me too much: "Hey can you plz help me with something? Ex. of what I hate: "u hlp m3 wit dis plz?" *Shudders* =;
  4. Although they're fair game once they are visible to everyone, as a ranger myself I feel that if the arrows are fairly high priced(steel+), then it would be nice to ask permission first. To overcome this problem I got Ava's Accumulator on members so I wouldn't have to worry about it. But for those on F2P and those members who haven't done the quest, arrow stealers can be a nuisance when range training, and I think that unless you make it clear that you don't mind if they take your arrows, then it's pretty low. Especially when they do it just to irritate you.
  5. It's a very good idea. Because although it'll take quite a bit of work, you will make a decent profit and gain a lot of mage experience as well.
  6. I say that it depends on the situation. Like you said, dueling, attack is obviously the better stat to have because if you hit constantly and the other person is just hoping for a high hit that they might not get, well, you've got the upperhand. But when it comes to PKing(not DMs) and you need those high hits to kill, then strength is obviously the direction you want to go. It's a 50/50 split like you said. But the best thing is to have both.
  7. I agree with you. I'm a ranger, range is my thing, it's what I do. I'm only 77 range and I hit 19s constantly while training using mith bolts and a rune c'bow. I'm hitting 19s unpotted, no pray, and all I'm doing is training. I've seen 68s with the new Void armor update.. and you're telling me range is underpowered? Not at all. Lately Jagex seems to have been shelling out some love to the rangers.
  8. I never listen to the RS music. I'm usually listening to Atreyu, Alesana, Bullet for my Valentine, or some other kind of metal. I also like Saosin, AFI, Panic At The Disco, Silverstein, Boys Like Girls, and Mayday Parade.
  9. Magic and Dragon Crossbows would be so ridiculous that I wouldn't even mind if Jagex beefed up melee some more(I'm mostly a ranger). I would love it though.
  10. Besides tip it, I'm a pretty active member of Pure Community, and I post occasionally on Runescape Community.
  11. TBH, just because Jagex has the right to do it, doesn't mean they should. I mean, obviously if a video is breaking the Jagex rules they would want to remove it but if it's just something like a PK vid or a Quest guide vid then all it's really doing is helping people to play the game, or entertain people who play/don't play the game. It's all free publicity for Jagex when you think about it. We're doing their work for them. We help them get members, who may buy p2p, and in turn we make them money by introducing the game to new people through youtube. So it's Jagex' decision to do it, but IMO I don't know why they would :-s
  12. I agree with you completely. IMO "safer", and "farcaster" are terms made up by pkers who get frustrated every time they get killed for their monk robes in the wild. Because it's usually the 1 item/protect prayer pkers that you hear the term coming from. It gets to the point that I would rather play with my chat off every time I step into the wild.
  13. Green Dragons(unless you consider Elvarg one) only exist in P2P. Elvarg is the only dragon in the F2P version of the game.
  14. Questions regarding Jagex' rules are best answered by messaging them directly by the in-game in-box. But to answer your question, if you are using a third-party program to assist you by doing what you said, it would be illegal. But if it's something built into your computer, like the Mousekeys, then it's perfectly okay. I know that for a fact because I once messaged Jagex about mousekeys.
  15. The key to getting a fighter torso is finding a good team. Getting one can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple days. But it's worth it either way.
  16. The clearing where you recharge Crystal items. 8-)
  17. And I hate how people feel the need to flame every thread they read. I'm trying to add to a longstanding discussion about the randomness of randoms. If you aren't going to add to that discussion then there's no reason to post at all.
  18. I wasn't repetitively alching btw. I was ranging fire giants.
  19. That bugged me too when I saw that. Who knows lol.
  20. 100% brightness all the way!! \
  21. If this is in the wrong forum please move it. Thanks. Well today I was training at fire giants and I got a mith sq drop so I decided to alch it. As soon as I did I got the Evil Bob ScapeRune random and I thought to myself, I wonder. So after about 15 minutes or so I got a fire battlestaff. And I told the other guy there, I bet I'll get another random when I alch this. So I alched it, and lo and behold I got Niles asking me to help him out. Then I decided to test it out again with my next mith square drop and check this out: This only worked if I hadn't alched something in about 10-20 minutes. But I still was able to call it when it happened. Are randoms really as random as they say? Three times in about an hour and a half is a little more than a coincidence I think.
  22. 10+ defense on what is now my "main" and now has 71 defense. :|
  23. Just because it can be used in such a way against pures, I doubt it will be. If it ever becomes cost efficient to be used in the wild it'll be mostly against "mains" fighting other "mains" and not fighting against pures.
  24. Actually all that looks completely new to me.
  25. I'd rather have a high ranked total level because that means you have more than one skill that's pretty high.
