  1. It would be a big step for Jagex to do this but it seems as if they're already trying to get on that path with one of their daily tips that said something along the lines of taking a break when playing for long periods of time.
  2. One of my best RS friends has that problem haha. So I know what you mean. Every half an hour if I ask him what he's doing he'll say something different even though just 15 minutes before he told me about his plan to fish 1k lobs or cut 1k yews or something. I don't have that problem though.. most of the time anyway. :anxious:

Mines exactly the same as yours except I have the "Zombie Walk" emote. :P
  4. Great job! It'll be fun to see the upcoming installments of this.
  5. I would keep it forever unless he was just giving me it to put it on once then I'd give it back.
  6. Well I think I died because of the dark wizards, then I started mining.
  7. Haha I never thought I'd see the day when people were hoping for Jagex to slow down on the updates. :-k But I'm in the same mindset as you.. A little too much too fast. I need time to let it all sink in.
  8. Wow can't believe I forgot about the Obby Maul pure #-o Yeah those might be the only "Strength Pures" left except for the fact that most of them have mage/range as well.
  9. That's a pretty crazy glitch. I wonder how made all the all-99 players would be if the glitch made it so that he was number 1 because of a 2278 total.
  10. Lmao. I don't need to say more. +1. Most ridiculous thing I've ever heard(well maybe not but it's pretty bad). Try learning to read and go up and read my argument on why that's not true at all.
  11. AHahahahah. Do I have to? Honestly, do I? I mean it would take me like 45 Minutes just to name some of the well-known ones. wow, you are the most guilible person i have ever met. just because their stat isn't in the hiscores doesn't mean they don't have that stat raised. and by the way, the max level for a pure is 72, magic, any higher and you have to be a hybrid, if you have 60 attack and 99 str that means you're a hybrid, not a pure. No, your have your own definition for pure then. Pure means refined, without flaw. The common definition for "pure" in runescape means without defense. Thats why a MAXED pure has 99 att, 99 str, 1 def, 99 range, 99 mage, and under 52 prayer. My definition of a hybrid is someone who pks with a whip or a d scimmy in robes and uses ancients. Which would make alot of people who you deem a hybrid, not. are you an idiot? you just contradicted yourself, you said pure can have 99 attack but cannot use any dragon or above weapoons. the definition of a pure is someone who has all combat skills at 1 except for one stat, not someone with one defense. ever heard of defense pures? Defense pures are called tanks. Now on you calling me an idiot, that was uncalled for. I in NO WAY insulted you. I gave you my definition of a hybrid pker, when you deemed someone with over 72 mage a hybrid not a pure. So you sir are contridicting yourself. Try insulting me when you take the lower ground in an argument again and youll find your posts being reported. ok then... and your sarcastic comments hinting at me being an idiot are no less insulting how? at least i have the guts to say it to you. i have had the lower ground in many an arguement on tif, and just because defense pures are alled tanks doesn't mean they still aren't pure. I never in any way suggested your an idiot. I said you are contridicting yourself. And i used no sarcasm in that post. Now them, i belive your definition of a pure YOU JUST GAVE ME was this. Someone who does not train defense, and only a combat skill is a pure. You contridicted yourself again, congratulations! You obviously want me to try to call you an idiot since you accuse me of it on a regular post. I wont give you that. Bug off kid, you dont know anything about pures, and your entire argument on this post only proves it. hey goood job on making something up that i said! yeah! i said that a pure trains one stat and hp. that's all they train, witht he exception of skills. rareghoul1 what part of the "pure" class did you miss? there are nearly no str pures left, they all got killed because of whip/dds combo... now i will list all the pure types that i know off...(they are all maxed) str pure: 99 str/hp whip/dds pure: 70/80 attack 99 str 52 prayer 99 hp rune pure: 70 att 99 str 40 defence 52 prayer 99hp fremmy pure: 70 att 99 str 45 defence 52 prayer 99hp ancient whip: 99 magic 70 att 90/99str 99hp dark bow/dragon bolt: 99 ranged 99hp 50 defence tank ranger: 99 ranged 99 hp 70/99 def (maybe 52 prayer) defence pure: 99defence 60 att 50/60 str these are all known pure and if you look at it ONLY 1 got 1 combat skill maxed... you can argue whether or not these pure are effective but there are sooo many ways to build a pure. love me, hate me, don't flame me.... [/hide] your definition of pure is diferent from theirs, the guys i was argueing with. a pure doesn't mean amxed stats, means works on that stat. either way, there are too many definitions of pure for this arguement to be solved/have any point. They dont need to be maxed, but still, they are all pures. Your definition makes them hybrids. What good is a pure with 99 str and 1 attack. Its obvious they will be better used with attack (40 for f2p, 60,70, and higher for p2p) what's the point of having high str and att if you get hit all the time? the only reason most people of your definition pures get 60 attack is to wield dragon, most could care less about about hitting so much as long as they do high damage. when i played 2 years ago and did pk somewhat, most people pking that were not balanced had full iron and an iron scimmy, that only used melee. some had rune scimmys, but not many. the good of a pure with 99 str and 1 attack is that they would be lvl 50ish and be hitting 20s with iron scimmy. Your first sentence proves my point, you know nothing of pures. Pures are made to kill regular people their level for rune, when they risk next to nothing. You make them eat soo much they CANT hit you. And then you get their pixels. Yay, argument done :D no aruguement not done, as with balanced players' defense, they block most attacks pures send at them because they stop training attack at 60. if a pure can't inflict constant damage he's done, well, i am contradicrting myself here, but if a pure gets unlucky for 2 turns, he's done. he has too eat, then he gets hit more and has to eat again. i suppose i was wrong with the fact that pures can't lose, but they still have high chances. now i'm going to say something completely dumb and not true. anyway this thread is dead to me now. I'm honestly not trying to flame but I was just wondering why you say this thread is dead to you now. It seems to me that you only said this because you've finally realized, after you contradicted yourself(and admitted to it) in your last post, that, you are in the wrong and your argument has no strength behind it in the context of pures that we have been talking about out. I.E. not the 1 99 1 1 1 1 1 1 pures you said still exist.
  12. Wrong. I've been called Strength noob and Pure noob. Yep, on my main and pure alike I have been called all those things, (Def noob can go both ways you see as well as pray noob). I've been called melee, mage, and range noob. These insults have nothing to do with pure/impureness, it's just the attitude of the person you're either better than, or just that has nothing better to do with their life than throw around meaningless insults.
  13. Saying that most pures are disrespectful is a generalization believed by many to be true, but I think I can help the people who read this to get that thought out of their heads. Along with the ideas that the majority of pures are drop traders, rule breakers, and like you said cowards. I myself have a pure account. It's a member, and I make money by law running, flax picking, and gathering snape grass and Unids. I'm in a clan called The Unexpected, and I'm also a member of Pure Community. I know from experience that the majority of the pures that join pure community are honest, respectful players who are just trying to have some fun playing the game in a different way, not just because they are cowards and don't want to ever die in the wild. To say that the majority of these pures are drop traders and cheaters is absurd. Just from looking at the forums I've seen that they've all adapted to making money in different ways. There are plenty of guides on ways to merchant from having about 10k up to millions. I've also seen many pures who spend their time collecting each and every material needed for a certain quest like Desert Treasure or for doing all the RFD quests to get mith gloves without getting defense. They take these "quest kits" and sell them to other pures for anywhere between 50-150k and there are many pures willing to buy them. I've seen 90% of these pures making honest livings in Runescape and being respectful to all others, not just other pures. The other 10% are ridiculed by the pure community, and like most pures, by the rest of the RS community as well and eventually give up on their pure. Generalizations such as the ones you've stated in your posts are the reasons why most people ridicule and judge pures before they even get to know the person behind the account. And it's this sort of attitude that drives some people who have pures to be nasty and rude to any non-pure they see, just because of the way they've been treated in the past. So if we are to establish a bond between pures and non-pures, we need to remove the generalizations made about pures and instead try to learn about each other rather than judge each other on the type of RS character they prefer to make. P.S. - And even though I have a pure, I think that the argument that people hate pures because they've been pked by them is complete bull. The only reason is because of the generalizations that are made, and then believed by the majority.
  14. I've seen this too. The majority of my half key drops, probably somewhere around 65%(CBA to get exact calculations) have been loop halves. And FastForce is right that the tooth half keys are generally a bit more expensive than the loop halves.
  15. I'll use sarcasm to a large extent when I come across one of those people who are blatantly rude just because they have an "I'm better than you" mindset. They'll usually try to come off with a witty remark to put me down but nearly all of the time I'm able to turn it around and insult them with it. At this point I just give them the benefit of the doubt that they sense the sarcasm in it, but even then they don't understand it so they'd rather just pretend that they do and normally the conversation ends along the lines of "You trying to be funny noob? I should report you". At this point it's the ignore list for them and the rest of my day for me. :) But to answer your question, yeah it's pretty pointless, but fun nevertheless.
  16. Flag holding is a legit way to play Castle Wars. I don't understand how it could be cheating, due to the fact that it's completely within the barriers of Jagex' rules and it's not abusing any bugs(which would have been fixed by now). Flag holding is just another strategy that can be used in the game of Castle Wars. It takes awhile to get good at flag holding so not just anyone can go out and do it more than half of the time. It, like any other thing, takes practice. If someone has done it a lot and gotten good at it why should you take it away from them by claiming that it's cheating when it isn't? Most of the people who are claiming rule breaking are the ones who have not yet discovered for themselves the art of flag holding in Castle Wars and would rather complain about it then try it themselves. Some people claim that it's unfair. Tough, a lot of things in Runescape are unfair. But I, like many others have learned to play and adapt to it. Rather than complaining about flag holding, I learned as much as I could about it to prevent it in a game, while at the same time helping my own team to hold the flag. If flag holding really bothers you that much then simply just don't play the game. It's a strategy encompassed in a mini-game that a lot of people enjoy and for the most part they have accepted the strategy. The people who can't accept the strategy either don't play, complain or like myself, adapted to it. IMO those are really the only three choices available to you.
  17. The insistent beggars in Runescape do bother me. But making it a reportable offense? I think that would do more harm than good. Like others have said, making it a reportable offense would draw in more report-happy wannabe P Mods who report every other person they can just to get a silver crown by their name. I also think that making it reportable wouldn't do much since just like with every other rule there are people that will ignore them. And also if Jagex were to add the rule to the game they most likely would only post it in the Knowledge Base like they did with the rule about not asking for bf/gfs. Because of this I still see people doing that and when I tell them that it's reportable they don't believe me because more often than not they've never even opened the KB once.
  18. I can completely understand when it's just a simple misspelling of a hard or not so common word or maybe just a typo, but it really bothers me when people go out of their way to take a simple sentence and twist the words up so much that it's nearly unreadable. There are times when friends of mine and myself use chat/leet speak just as a joke among us but when I have to constantly see it everywhere by people who sincerely think that it makes them look cool or likable, well, that's when it starts to get under my skin.
  19. I doubt that's what they meant but if it is...
  20. why do you want to be a pmod? you're just like everyone else in runescape, just hungry for the power. besides, you don't have to have 0 black marks to be a pmod. Why do people have to be hungry for the power to be a pmod? I wouldn't mind being it, it just looks cool next to your name. I'd love to sprise all my friends in rs one day by just saying 'Hi, notice anything?' +1 I agree. I have 0.0 blackmarks too. And I'm not like those people that go out of their way to become p mods for the power. I hate those kinda p mods.
  21. If they introduced dragon claws then I'd probably use them lol. But I agree that Jagex has been really trying to introduce new things into the game so that people will use less popular skills and items. New Rune C-bows are ftw.
  22. Wow, Jagex made another decent update?? They're on a roll. =D>
  23. I don't really think that that is the cause mate. Just a coincidence in my opinion. I would just put it down to more RS players. It's summer. More people have time to play=more people online.
  24. It's because Skili's hawt. JK. If you want trust you have to earn it. You shouldn't have to work for it, but it should just happen between good friends.
  25. I think it's just you as well. I haven't gotten any more randoms than usual today. But then again, randoms are well.. random. :)
