  1. Haha, change you mode and maybe you'll live longer :P I ended up living longer while smoking (which I already do) than not smoking :
  2. Never had depression then? Many people have never experieced depression badly. Of course, many have suffered from minor depression where you feel down for a long time and they think that's all there is to depression. Suicidal thoughts are scary [cabbage]. Florida USA And yeah, I think it's safe to say that the majority of drinking happens because people don't want to be sober for the night. [/hide] I just don't see the point in "social drinking". People, just realise that it's a drug like any other. You drink because of it's effects. It's like saying you smoke marijuanna because it smells good. (Well it does but doesn't matter now) It smells like what I think Heaven will smell like. : You're right, it is INCREDIBLY easy to obtain. I have a friend who works at a grocery store who is more than willing to sell me cigarettes/alochol as long as she "checks my ID" and her manager is nearby. All it takes is a few hook ups, some cash, and you're set. I agree completely. If you don't remember it, could it have really been that much fun? I have no problems with going to a friend's house and getting trashed. But you have to stop at a point where you're feeling awesome, but you're still going to remember the night. How I found my limits: The last time I drank socially I had a little too much and blacked out a few times. Once I found myself at the bottom of the stairs, laying on my back laughing, another I came to and found myself playing Halo, and the last time I woke up and it was morning. Aside from a few lapses, I remember almost all of the night (even my friend who doesn't know his limits at all and ended up in the bathroom all night - his patio became my toilet for the night). Since then I've known when to stop so I could remember whatever I did and hopefully wake up feeling decent in the morning.
  3. Eh, saying you bench 230 would be technically correct. When you say you "bench" something you're talking about maxing out which is basically doing 1 rep and then needing help to get the bar off. But I'm happy to see a topic about this. I love to see people getting in shape :D I work out every other day at a karate class. It's enough exercise to keep me from packing on some pounds through my normal life. I'm planning on starting to work out hardcore soon though. Protein drinks, 5am runs, lifting, calorie counting, the works. I used to do this about a year ago and packed on some serious muscle before falling into depression for a while. So for almost a year now my body has been slowly eating away my muscle mass and I'm pretty much looking normal at this point :( Plus a males hormones peak at around 18 years old so this is going to be the easiest time for me to get in amazing shape :D : Lmao. Nice job on making a fool of yourself and making a good portion of the community hate you with one swift sentence. I've never seen that done before and I've spent a decent amount of time talking to TheChamp  =D> Edit: To make sure at least one person brings something good out of this thread I'll give out a little tip: -Be cautious of how much you run if you're looking to build muscle. Running too much will actually cause you to burn up the muscles you've worked so hard for. Ever wonder why marathon runners aren't buldging with muscles all over?
  4. I support this 100%. Not only would this allow college freshmen to drink, it would allow me to legally drink in 7 days ;) But I do think it would help stop some of the bringe drinking that happens at colleges and maybe lower the number of alcoholics we have in this country. @NoMoreDead: If you take away the part of it being illegal, it's less fun and less rebellious. And it's not like you're making it easier to get. I can easily obtain alcohol and I'm only 17.
  5. Just because your family is successful and has lots of spending money doesn't make you a brat. Labeling people, gah. He's not labeling them. Watch the show and you'll understand.

    LATE FEES :o
  7. I think it's crap. Companies profiting off of national tragedies. Seriously, it was a terrible day but do we really need "special" collector money to remember it? I remember the day just fine without any special items around to remind me of it. If you do need some special item to remind you of it, you probably didn't even know it was happening..
  8. Heh, I think mine was the same way. So when people ask me why I smoke, from now on I'm telling them it will help me live longer :P
  9. Parents, but I'm sure MTV pays them to act like little [wagon] the entire time. For my 16th I had a little party with friends/family though I would have been just fine without it. For my 18th I don't plan on doing anything special either. Maybe I'll go buy my first legal pack of cigarettes, but that will probably be the extent of my day. Also, my mom wants me to go with her when she gets her nose pierced so she's waiting for me to turn 18 lol.

Wow. I'm still hungry after a Big Mac. A Wendy's triple cheeseburger or BQ loaded steakhouse burger are more filling, but I rarely feel sick after eating just one.. :-k
  11. Ah, you remind me of some guys who visited during elementary school. They were from some program called CAPPS (Or some other ridiculous acronym) and they were like "If you ever get kidnapped, yell! If the kidnapper covers your mouth, PINKY PULLLLLL!" Still remember it to this day. If it will ever be any use, who knows. It could be somewhat useful, if not just amusing to do to friends. About the only applicable way I can really think of is when someone grabs your shirt just before they crank their arm WAAAAYY back for that super powerful punch (not really), you just grab their hand and show them the pavement.
  12. September 3, 2079.. Damn I got a long time to go..

My day was pretty awesome. Had a karate tournament in Keokuk (Iowa). Had to get up at 6am to get there on time. Ended up taking 2nd in form and 2nd in sparring. I got robbed in sparring though. I should have had 1st but the damn judges didn't call half of my points in the final round yet they gave the other guy [cabbage] there was no way they saw. Overall it was awesome and I can't wait to get out to the next tournament (one in September - unknown location at this point- and one in October -Hannibal (Missouri) "Tom Sawyer Karate Championchips"-). I don't know how many of you around here are in karate, but if anyone is going to be at the Hannibal tournament let me know so I can keep an eye out for you ;)
  14. Congradulations. You're as much of a moron as OP's borther. I think you mean index finger. Between the thumb and ring finger are 2 other fingers. And that pressure point won't do much. Maybe he'll pull his hand away but that's about it. Better thing to do, grab all the way around the back of his hand and get ahold of just below the pinky (with a good grip). Then pushing it up and backwards will case the arm to automatically fold up. Twist the pinky side of his hand towards his heart while folding the arm up and you can bet he'll hit the floor in a heartbeat. A kempo instructor showed me how to do that and it's amazing how easy it is to drop someone.
  15. While I do agree with you, mopeds can be a decent from of transportation for people who cannot get thier drivers license yet. Where I live, you only have to be 14 to drive a moped so some kids take advantage of that and have an easier time getting around than their friends. They're fine for in-town use, but the first time I see someone trying to ride it down the highway I think I'll run them off the road myself.
  16. Don't put words in my mouth. I said being PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE is immature. Oh, sorry, misread it :-# . Ah, no worries mate.
  17. Don't put words in my mouth. I said being PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE is immature.
  18. Just work it out with a good old fist fight. Calling the cops, ignoring him, or doing anything immature or passive aggressive are grounds for him to do more. Anyone who tells you those things doesn't have a clue about how siblings work nor how to keep things at home decent. Or they want you to get a serious beating.
  19. Eh, my dad actually was talking about sex.. I'm not ready to let go yet. I'm not one to just give up when the going gets tough. I'm not worried about the other guy. So maybe she likes him, but I know she won't be able to stand him for too long. She already ditches him all the time, he's abusive to her, and I don't think I've ever seen him when he wasn't drunk or high. Maybe things get really good between us again and she ends up dropping another bomb, maybe I'll be ready and just numb myself to everything around me. Or maybe I'll go overboard again. I love life, but I'm not afraid to die (nor do I want to live to be old). It is a vicious cycle I've gotten myself into and I know it. [hide=]I love you too :D[/hide]

  21. I've been meaning to ask this...I'm Asian, and as we all know, Asians take off their shoes when they enter houses. How about you white people? Now that I think about it, I haven't been to a white family's house in a really long time. I've had white people come to my house, and it's not instinctive for them to take off their shoes. So do you really not take off your shoes? Of course, it's different from person to person, but in general... People generally take of their shoes when they go into other peoples' houses. Mostly it's just to keep from tracking things onto the carpet and whatnot. Of course, if the owner of the house doesn't bother to take their shoes off then you're not really obligated to take yours off.
  22. I think it's ridiculous that some Clinton supporters are refusing to vote for Obama just because he was chosen over Clinton. I was willing to vote for Hilary if she was the chosen for the Democratic party, but I'm glad Obama made it. There weren't a whole lot of differences between Clinton and Obama, so why do Clinton supporters feel inclined to vote for McCain instead? Is 4 more years of Bush's policies really a good idea? Are they trying to force a female president on us? I personally think we're ready for a female president, but you can't go and [bleep] up the election just because Clinton didn't make it as the Democratic candidate.
  23. Anybody else starting to think this election is turning into a way to make as much history as possible? First black president, first president who was a PoW, female VP, etc. Eh, I'm glad to see the VPs have been picked and all. I just wish election day would get here so we could see how this all turns out :-k
  24. A little update: I'm feeling much much better now. I've been talking to her quite a bit and she's really opened up to me. She's told me she still has feelings for me and it's not hard to tell from the way she talks to me and still flirts with me. For now, I'm just going to have to enjoy being good friends with her but I'm going to keep on hoping she'll give me another shot. Also, I'm skipping school tomorrow and she has 3rd/4th period off so she's going to come hang out with me :) And today my dad decided to give me some.. Fatherly.. advice. He doesn't like seeing me stressed out over a girl so he basically told me what he thought I wanted to hear which was along the lines of: "Don't get emotionally attatched to them. Just get in, get what you want, and get out before you get hurt." This is not at all what I wanted to hear because I don't have the heart to use a girl for sex. It actually kinda pissed me off when he was saying that so I decided to head back to class early and ended up finding my ex roaming the halls. I guess I can thank my dad for making me want to go back to school this time.
  25. Yes, that would work quite well :
