  1. Most people don't use 'deloriagod' or 'mcqueen' so I'm usually ok :)
  2. Hour long lessons aren't too bad... 3 of 5 of my lessons are an hour and a half. Don't make me have another talk you and your childish insults about your stupid posts.. I would be pissed if my school was closed for vandalism.. No, I don't enjoy the lessons but I do enjoy the hours I spend passing notes with friends and the time I get to spend with my gf. I would be out looking for the culprit if someone took that away from me..
  3. I've heard bad things about the movie but I'm going to see it. I've liked these kinds of movies (Scary Movie series and Date Movie) so it's just one more to add to the list of the 1234243423 movies I've seen :P
  4. This is the reason why I won't use the stuff. I get a little bit from enegry drinks and such but not enough to really make a difference. I haven't done much strength lifting in a while (just toning) but I want to be sure I'm as strong as I look. No way am I going to embarass myself by look huge but can't lift much.
  5. I like the idea but I just want to point out that relationship threads aren't a problem due to the sticky in place. ;)
  6. Yeah, venting usually helps me. I wish I has a punching bag, that would really help me. Preferraly one with a really thick covering.. I have a couple of swords that are pretty dull but I think taking out my anger on a punching bag with my favorite wepon would get rid of all those pent up emotions.. To relax I usually vent where I can find an appropriate place (now my forum has an area) and if it's warm I like to go for a walk and listen to music..
  7. We're having Dish Network installed right now because Mediacom was stupid and got rid of the channel the Superbowl is going to be on. I'd put my bet on the Colts winning. I suppose my neighbors will be over to watch it too :P
  8. I support the war on terror. If I was older, I'd be in Iraq serving my country right now but sadly I was too young when it started and I still am. I also support military action in Darfur. But I still question our leader's decision to send more troops to Iraq..
  9. My assumption then, is that you support any military action that stops a race of people from having mass genocide being committed against them purely because of their ethnicity? I support any militay action that stops any genocide for any reason. No race deserves to be wiped off the face of the Earth..

Things don't need to be complex to be interesting  Btw, it looks great ;)
  11. Download the Google toolbar. It contains a spell checker. Or simply go to Google and type "define:(word here)".
  12. On my computer - Zune Media Player On the go - Zune Other times - Car speakers or blaring my stereo :
  13. It's only an opinion because everyone has the right to decide what's right and what's wrong. I'm not saying the opinion is wrong, I'm just saying homosexuality is more widely accepted these days and the Bible still says it's wrong. I say it teaches hate because it tells people that being a homosexual is wrong and you know there are going to be people who will go and shove that down other peoples' throats. And you know people will take it out of context. That just seems to be human nature.
  14. True. But these days we have laws in place to punish those who do wrong. However, I see where you're coming from. Some people don't commit crimes soley because they want to go to Heaven.
  15. If something is true, does it need to change over time? If Pythagoras, 2500 years ago or so, discovered that a^2 + b^2 = c^2, do we need to update that truth because times have changed? So hypothetically, if the Bible is true, would it need to be updated to fit the times? It might need to be applied in different ways, but the truths themselves would remain the same, and would always work if applied correctly. Timeless truth is always timely, after all. If you deny the truth of the Bible, the whole point is moot, but assuming it is true, it would not need to change with the times. The only things that change with the times are things which are not universally true, but timeless truth is always timely. Let's take anti homosexuality for example (since it's so controversial). I often hear the argument that the Bible says it wrong. Ok, so it was wrong when the Bible was written. But it's more widely accepted now and yet the Bible continues to say it's wrong. Times change and some things need to change with it. I'm not saying all things, but like the example. Homosexuality being wrong is merely an opinion and thus can easily change but the Bible doesn't update itself as time goes on. I think some things in the Bible shouldn't be taught because it only encourages hate.
  16. That's funny. From what I've seen, atheists are actually just as bad ( or even worse) at 'slamming' their beliefs on people. Yeah, any follower of any religion can be just as bad. At times I wonder if the world would be better off without religion. No wars over who's beliefs are right, no extremists, ect. But then I think of people who use religion to get them through hard times, and without it they might just give up.. I suppose the world would be better off if we all just listened to each other beliefs and didn't instantly question them or shoot them down. The only way to know if your religion is right or not is to die and see where you end up. And even then, only you and anyone else who has died know whether they're right or not.. I feel like I'm rambling again.. :anxious:
  17. I think some teachings of the Bible are greatly outdated. From what I see out of most Christians, the Bible says Christianity is right and everybody elses' beliefs can go rot in Hell. I think a lot of people should stop taking the Bible so seriously. When was the last time it said "Updating ... Please wait"? The Bible was written thousands of years ago and the beliefs of the time were in there. Times have changed since then. I don't mind people believing in Christianity but I want them to at least respect my right to believe what I want without having it slammed in my face..
  18. Yes, there are times when God is the only explanation I can come up with for things. However, there are some things that are unexplainable even with God as an option. Such as ghosts. Many people claim to have seen then, many claim to believe, and others choose not to. But I don't think God is wandering through my house at night or scaring the living daylight out of young children. If you care to know, I'm agnostic (not athiest). I believe there may be a God however I don't feel we as humans will ever know the truth (that is, until you die).
  19. Lol, no kidding. I think it may have to do with the average age. When people get older (17 or so) they play RS less and less or they quit. After they quit they still want to keep their friends they made on RS so they post here, in Off Topic. I always thought the average RS player's age being like 13, and the average age here like 16 or 17. I think it's that most of the 13 year olds that stumble in here don't enjoy reading or debating too much so they just leave. There are only a few people 14 or below that come around here and participate like the rest of us and you wouldn't know they were that young if you didn't pay attention. The first person that comes to mind when I say that is Issy. It has come to my attention though that the average again here is ~16 (taking information from the "Get To Know Me, Get To Know You" thread). Like Reb said, you do have to be smarter to post here and be taken seriously. There's no way half the people in General (P2P) could actively participate here and actually know what they're talking about and be taken seriously at the same time.
  20. Ah now, here is the reason why Christians and other religious people are often generalised and badly treated. Many Christians are so sure they're right - 'omg, I will go to heaven, you willl suffer everlasting torture in hell' that the athiests get sick of it and start insulting them. u cant blame us. it is frustrating to see ppl who just cant see how things are even when its this simple. it makes us think there kinda thick tbh.  Show me proof of God and I'll stop being so 'thick'. Oh, that's right.. There is no proof. You can't be sure there is a God or not. You can believe what you want, so why can't I without being 'thick'? You're quite hypocritical and that's why people like you are treated so badly. If you want to educate me about part of your religion, that's great and I'll probably listen. But when you start calling me 'thick' because I don't want to believe the same thing as you, you're just looking for a fight. You have no right to tell any of us that we're 'thick' for not believing and it's people like you that cause the rest of your religions' followers to be treated poorly. You say it's simple to see how things are. Now it says everything was created by God in seven days. It didn't define how long those seven days were. They could have been thousands of years and thus you could have have evolution. Now show me how evolution is simple.. And don't tell me 'things evolved.' Tell me how they did it, what happened in their bodies and why it happened. Simple, isn't it? Nothing is as simple as 'God made it.' There is a scientific explanation for almost everything.
  21. Heh.. Thinking about it, my teacher said, "In 10 years everyone is going to remember where they were and what they were doing when they heard about this. Just like when Kennedy was assassinated."
  22. Couldn't resist
  23. Veltia, I have to say you're pretty damn good. Usually people who do "Runescape" sigs just do a bunch of copy and pasting from screen shots and put no effort into them (thus making them look like crap). But I give you props for doing a great job
  24. A little of both. I like mainstream rap because of the beats and underground rap because of the lyrics. When I listen to rock, I usually like lyrics I can understand but sometimes I just enjoy listening to the guitars/drums.
