March 20, 200719 yr Thats a hard one, I have a few. lineage II: Man.. the music in this game is amazing, so wonderfully done. Still get memorys whenever I hear music from it. Half life 1&2: I know I mention this game a lot, but the soundtrack actualy fits for an FPS. It serriously adds so much to the encounters, I love it. Chrono Trigger: Another one of those games that serriously just has all of it right and the music is no exception. Some amazing midis done for that game... I'm sure there are other games I've played that have great soundtracks (Unreal Tournement does) but those 3 take the cake IMO. edit: The zelda series "soundtrack" is always close to me as well.

(Sorry, unknownmaster, not trying to be evil or anything) :x Well, the best soundtrack for me has to be One Winged Angel, Advent Children version and old one, and the KH themes, like Sanctuary and Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru (Would those count :? ) Not only those, but KH and FF orchestrols themselves. Nobuo Uematsu is the man (Whom writes the FF and KH music)!!!!!! He is a musical genius! :XD: Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D In the meantime...Steam username: )I'll rewrite it later (add me if you want)
March 20, 200719 yr Final Fantasy VII, Oblivion and Morrowind. The ones for Morrowind and Oblivion just enhances the gaming experience so much, it's fantastic.

March 21, 200719 yr If I had to pick one game I'd say FFVII, but music from Kingdom Hearts is good, as well as music from most other Final Fantasies.
March 21, 200719 yr Oblivion and Morrowind are definitely pretty great. When I was playing it hardcore, I would hear the music everywhere, even in real life. I would hear a change of music when walking in and out doors :D . Other music I enjoy are a few of the songs in Civilization IV.

It was always kinda repetitive i found, and maybe set a mood for a fight (Just by the change in music), but its not like setting a mood for a certain mission or anything. Maybe not the best music in the world, but it worked great for what it was supposed to do. Just thinking of the times walking around in the Ashlands and then all of the sudden, battle music! Then you are frantically looking everywhere for those damned cliff racers that come out of nowhere and gang rape you. It was great :D
March 21, 200719 yr Nobuo Uematsu's gotta be the best game-music writer. The soundtracks from FFVII and VIII are my favorites, but IX and X deffinitely have some of my favorites. Overall, I'd say the soundtrack to VIII is the best soundtrack out of any game. "El que no arriesga no gana"

March 21, 200719 yr One Winged Angel and Liberali Fatali are great. Saw on youtube or somewhere a live orchestra doing them, it was fantastic. And I really,really,really especially love the Terra theme from FFIX. Soothes me every time. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
March 21, 200719 yr I've never really played many of these 'epic' games, with massive orchestral soundtracks, but I do like Twilight Princess's soundtrack. Especially when you enter a massive open area, particularly Hyrule Field.
