Today Jagex announced that the entire month would be cabbage themed. I have no problem with that, I love cabbages! :thumbsup: But they also announced the 2007 easter event would be cabbage themed also. Now if you ask me, it sounds like it won't be the greatest holiday event, and if it's cabbage themed, it doesn't sound like there will be the greatest reward either. :(

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It seems to me that Jagex is running out of good holiday event ideas and rewards. I don't think any of the rewards in the past couple of years have been nearly as great as the party hats, santa hats, scythes, haloween masks and the other stuff they used to give out. If the game is still around in 10 years, imagine what they'll give out for rewards then. Rocks that are shaped like Sant Clause? Easter colored pieces of meat?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'll still play the game no matter what the holiday rewards are, but I still would like to have a few good ones.

Yeah it does sound like Jagex is running out of good ideas for holidays but what if they did what they did like 5 years ago then not very many people would remeber it and it would be new to tons of people and probably be 100 times better then cabbagge. I mean come on Cabbagge or a Party Hat i think i might go with the party hat there!!

Yeah, but if they have the rares dropped then they wouldn't really be rares anymore. The prices would drop and they would be nothing special anymore to say they were at the event at that time or have enough money to buy it. The rewards are getting kinda dull, but maybe they will suddenly get a good idea for a reward.

I can't believe how many people believed all that stuff. It's really pathetic, I mean come on... Cabbage armor, cabbage runes, cabbage lasers?

I made 100k off of cabbage sells. Isn't that horrible?

Yes, they definately are. The shield and the cape spot in the equip tab are the only slots that do not have holiday items. And the scarves, skeleton suit, scythe, easter ring, and rubber chicken are the only equippable items that you dont wear on your head. Pretty soon they are gonna have a bunny shield and a bunny cape! :twisted:

First few sentences of the news and I already knew it was an April Fools Joke. Not because I knew it was April Fools Day (I actually forgot what day it was - thats how busy I am with schoolwork), but because of the wording used to describe the supposedly cabbage-themed event. It was much too informal and how should I say it... "cheery-kiddy-like".

yeah i think they are running out of idea's as they have repeated the emotes for holloween and this easter, and the rewards and really the best but they are still pretty cool :P

They're just using the basic, obvious holiday items. Eventually, they'll have to start coming up with more original ideas.
