Nearly lost my eye, anyone else got hurt latley?

Featured Replies

I'm a clumsy person. I have quite a talent for falling over, and hurting myself in general. I'm usually too busy laughing at myself to worry about whether I am actually hurt or not.

The time I got a drawing pin stick in my hand was pretty funny... for about half a second before I realized it was actually right in up to the head in the palm of my hand and wouldn't come out :( Then I punched the door in frustration and hurt my knuckles

and my friend thought it was pretty funny

You have nice friends. If my friend was bleeding from his eye I'd be on the phone with the ambulance in seconds, or trying to find someone and offering all the assist I can.

Is it lonely, up there? On your pedastal?

I'd like to meet one person who hasn't even chuckled at the sight of a bit of harm to one of their mates. It's just banter and come sometimes be flat out hilarious. Once things look to get serious, then obviously, as friends, we pitch in to help.

Most of all, I'm glad the injury wasn't too serious. I sprained my ankle riding down my mates back (like a surfboard) down the stairs last week. Should have seen him though, smeg! Can you say carpet burn?!

Who was it that said every man secretely wants to see his best friend fall down the stairs, kinda true really, as long as it's not too bad.

Haven't done that much sport recently so no really good injuries for a bit.

Yesterday I was playin wall ball. Now the wall I was playing on was made of these bricks that are kinda like concreat buth they arn't smooth, they just out all over the place and are really sharp. Well it had just rained REALLY hard the day before and when I ran for the wall, I sliped on the mud and hit it at full speed. I tore my arm up and busted my knee open. The worst part is that I have bad knees, so when I hit it I froged my mucle and now I can't bend it. didn't stop me from goin to the gym though \'

Once an opinion is formed the truth is irelivant.

2 or 3 years ago I almost got the eye 'crushed'. My firend likes making veay nice wooden swords, and we were talking, and he was swinging it at some ferns. So he takes a really vicious swing and lets go at the same time I look at the sword. It hit 1/3 of a centimetre below the right orbital hard enough to send me flying (he's strong, just a little higher and my orbital word have been broken). Only 4 stiches, and my eyesight is still perfect in both eyes but...that was close :ohnoes:

I have also been evicted rapidly from a sail boat (when I was 8 or 9 I think), I forgot to duck the boom and it nailed me in the forehead. I flew about 10 feet out of the boat, thean my brother turned around and got me. No concusion lucky me \'

I also had a trunk slamed [bleep] on my head, bled alot but I begged the docter and didn't have to get stiches. This happed the same year as the sail boat.

I've never brocken anything though.

You, sir, have a thick head. :P

That being said, I've broken 2 bones in my body. A rib and a toe. Neither of them were very fun.

Ouch! that must have really hurt. The only recent injury that i've been a part of was that a guy in ma team broke his wrist playing aussie rules 2 weeks ago. It looked soo disgusting lol. I've never broken a bone either, just fractured my middle finger.

Splatter-RM-stroke.png

"A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"

I've never broken a bone.. Does that make me in a statistical minority? Possibly. :D :P

The only injury I can remember lately is cutting my hand shaving the other day (shaving my face, I cut my hand through being a sheer unco) and I got a tiny cut, but it bled more than I expected and I kind of fainted. :?

I used to get ingrown toenails all the time. Those hurt terribally, whenever you stub your toe it's the usual pain times 10 and sometimes with bleeding. Getting them fixed is even worse, they take gigantic needles and stick them into your toe a few times to inject a numbing medicine. Then (I advise you to cover your eyes and ears if you can), they take scissors and cut the offending side of the toenail off and after a while it heals.

You got an eyepatch? Lucky!

keep the eyepatch, use one eye to see in the light, and one eye to see i the dark. (when entering a dark area unmask your dark-adjusted eye.

You'll be even more like the pirates then!

The worst that happened to me..

fell on a sharp table edge when I was 6 and cut my bottom lip open.

came inches away from racking myself while skateboarding.

ran my toe under a door, my toenail got stuck on the door, bent back a bit, made a cut on the skin under the nail and blood as coming out my toenail, but I just walked it off for a few days.

I've burned the back of my hand with a hot iron.

A beat up large metal toy car cut up my nose once as a launched projectile when I was 8.

No broken bones yet ::'

Oh and, I have a scar on my right leg that's supposodly from spilt boiling when when I was to young to remember

1z2zrwo.jpg

the worst injury i had was when i was 4.

in the back garden of my freinds house, me my friend and my cousin were playing i stood behind my brother on a table, my oldest cousin behind me, then i notice my bro dived, i brick was thrown from by some teenager in another back garden. it didnt hurt much, but i noticed blood pourin from my head eventually coving my eyes, i could hardly see, luckily my friends mum had some stiches.my auntie called the police and shouted at the teen askin if they saw the "f***ing damage" that they did.

the teen was around 18 then so he did go to court, not sure what happened then.

EDIT: even though it didnt hurt much , i did cry just noticing blood everywhere

this was years ago. me and my brother was chopping some wood in our back garden. i lifted up an axe, and when it was in the air, i realised it was too heavy for me, and it dropped on my head.

Ouch. :ohnoes: I cringed when I read that. Which side was facing your head?

Thanks Ronnii :D

Yikes, glad I'm not so accident prone :uhh:

Worst injury so far was slipping on mud while running around a run-down construction site and burst my knee open. Didn't need to have stitches because there wasn't any skin left! It was kept open for a while. It scared me with all the flies around :-X

I fractured my finger in February and it's still not back to it's normal size and I can't bend it! Heeeelp

Ultra Unholy,

Hearted Machine...

Once i was running around a tree and I slipped. My leg got cut from my ankle to my knee on a sharp branch near the ground. I still have a scar on part of where I got cut.

Once I was cutting a chicken with some poultry shears (really sharp scissors that are used for cutting through chicken bones) and I accidentally cut the webbing between my thumb and first finger in my left hand. it bled a lot, but i just wrapped bandages and gauze around it after putting on antiseptic.

Once when I was a baby I crawled over the arm of the couch and broke my head open on the sweeper that happened to be sitting there. My sister, who happened to be like 3 at the time, was just rolling on the floor laughing her head off. I had to get a lots of stictches. Owee.

[hide=Quotes that I lol'd at]

the day the fantastic four come into runescape, i will eat my socks.

what kind of topic is this. ihaven't read it yet

but i now it must be stupid.

[/hide]

Too many stoires to tell :P

First, when i was like 6, i had one of those plastic robin hood bow and arrows that stick to windows and stuff (suction cupish arrow heads) and i somehow shot it backwards and it hit me in the eye and i needed an eye patch.

Another time i was glueing models with fast drying modeling glue and i accidentally glued my middle and pointer finger to my thumb. I didn't want to leave and have to use nail polish remover to get it off, so i thought "HMMM maybe i can cut between the fingers and cut the glue off". So i grab my exacto knife and try cutting, bad idea, i cut one of my fingers and it starts bleeding. So then AFTER i cut myself i had to use the nail polish remover, which stung like heck :wall:

yesterday afternoon my friend came to my house and we where just talking(he keeps talking about runescape but i don't really care..)

and i was just bouncing a golf ball, and my friend took it and threw it to the ground and it went into the air, i wondered how far i could get it, so i used all my body( im taller then my dad and hes pretty tall :P) and jumped and it went back and hit a little above my eye lid and instantly started bleeding heaps so i covered my eye and well.. started screaming for a bit lol, and my friend thought it was pretty funny <.< my mum drove me to the hospital and they just checked it and gave me some stitches and a eye patch.

(this was the fastest time being treated at the hospital ever, only like an hour. (if your from nsw you probably know what i mean, heh)

edit:111.jpg

I completely understand about the NSW hospital stuff man ;P

When I 'fell' into a campfire, I went to the hospital (only after spending an extra day with minimal treatment... Stupid lazy schoolteachers).

I asked the nurse who was treating me if I could pick off my own dead skin because she seem to be enjoying it too much, so she let me. Afterwards we took photographs of us smiling next to my burnt shin. Lol. ;P

I understand that very few people here will understand this, but falling into a campfire and severely burning my right shin was perhaps one of the greatest and most profound experiences of my life. Don't get me wrong, heaps of rad stuff comes my way, it was just a great thing. @_@

and my friend thought it was pretty funny

lol that reminds me of a t-shirt i saw some guy wearing:

It's funny until someone gets hurt, then it's hilarious. - i liked that

My injury is probably the most embarrasing - when i was just a kid the toilet seat fell down and trapped my tackle in it - very painful from what I remember but no lasting damage  .

Also I broke my leg a few years ago - nothing interesting just a bit of time off school.
