Bpob
I'd have to say Map of the Problematique by Muse, even though it was only released recently, but it wasn't an easy decision by any means.
Bubsa
At this moment in time, I'm going to have to go with Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing. Will change though, I'm sure of it. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

sheepdean
Too many to choose from, so here's top 5: Shine on You crazy Diamond - Pink Floyd Hurt - Nine Inch Nails Lily of the Valley - Queen November Rain - Guns 'n Roses Something I can never have - Nine Inch Nails (None of which are paticularly heavy, despite the artists) Back by popular demand! And I guess I just wanted to tell you, as the light starts to fade, that you aree the reason, that I am not afraid, and I guess I just wanted to mention, as the heavens will fall, that we will be together soon if we will be anything at all. Satenza
Purple Rain! Anyway, ultimate song. It's ever changing. However I'm going to pick a few. Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd Mr Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan Helter Skelter - The Beatles. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
How2PK
It's Mr. Tamborine Man, not my. :P I'm not going to choose. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!

Will change though, I'm sure of it. thats pretty high up on my list too.. but definitely not top.. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird god i love that song so much.. I have a playlist of about 20 songs that are pure epic that i listen to most of the time. It could be any one of those, but i think i like this song the most. Icingdeath
'For Whom the Bell Tolls' - Metallica. No lie, I've heard this song hundreds of times, and I'll never get tired of it. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.
