Bauke
:? Glasses only for me. Im not one for sticking stuff in my eyes. I thought just like you a few years ago. Ever since I got used to my contact lenses I NEVER want something else. Just put them in your eyes in the morning and you won't notice anything the whole day. My eyes get dry and tired in the evening sometimes, so that's when I put on my glasses. But I certainly wouldn't want to go back to the time I had a weird plastic thing on my head. Contact's ftw. xSxqPowerx
I've worn glasses all my life, since I was like 2. I think that for some reason contacts won't work for me cause of how my eyes are. Although I get along fine with glasses, and I'm not sure how much fun sticking things in my eyes sounds like anyway.

hellbellz
I'm glad my eyes are 20/20. :D I'd choose contacts. After a couple years, you get marks on where your glasses would be, and you look horrible without them on :anxious:

la la la
When I got glasses at 7, I told myself I would never EVER get contacts, but would just wait until I turned 18 and then get laser surgery. Obviously, I began to be interested in girls, and decided to get contacts, which have helped me out greatly :D . I haven't had any real problems in the past couple of years, but sometimes I do get them inside out or get a hair in my eye. About marks, I wore my glasses for over 7 years, and it took about 2 months for the marks to go away and everyone to get used to me without them. DragonFirenze
Oh yeah thats the one thing i hate, is when you put them on inside out. It doesnt look as clear and feels really weird... The Dark Lord
I'm considering contacts right now... I have glasses, but they get smeared and oils on the lenses too easily. Plus I sometimes fall asleep in my glasses and they get bent up. Just sucks... I think I'm gonna get some glasses with polycarbon and transition lenses then get some contacts too. Wear the contacts then use the glasses when the contacts get uncomfortable. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on. Tribal
I love my contacts, but after a while my eyes become really bloodshot. I once got pulled over coming home from my girlfriends house, and the cop gave me a breathalizer and made me walk lines etc. becuase my eyes were so bad he thought I may have been drunk/high. But other than that, definatly worth it.
The Dark Lord
Yeah I've just got on some craze to make me look better. I mean they're finally gonna move the freshmen to high school next year (be a sophomore) and I'll be meeting new girls and stuff. By the way I hang with the cheerleaders and stuff. lol (hell yeah!) You don't know HOW MANY girls I get to just walk to me and sit on my desk and just say stuff like "You're so cute." Unlucky for me I (was) in a pissy mood then and they kinda left me alone... :wall: I can be such an [wagon]... But I'm gonna change that and become a playa. SWAG Mayn U wanna be like me but U can't be me cuz U ain't got ma swagga on.
Stilev
i've thought about lenses before, and personally i think that idea is quite ingenious and wish i could get them. i dont though becasue my eyes are super senstive to stuff. at the eye docotor i always get an extra hour becasue my eye hates that strong light, and any drops they put in my eye. i really dont think i could ever stand it. the other reason is i only really need to wear glasses for driving, and maybe if im in the back of the class room or watchng tv. i wear pants with big pockets so i always just stuff them in there and put them on if i need them. last thing is, i dunno why but ppl dont think i look better or worse with glasses so w\e lol

Just not the bug-eyed massive kind. As I stated earlier in the thread, frequent sand-storms prevent me from wearing contacts out here. I wear them back in Dallas, but I honestly prefer the convenience of glasses. And trust me, there are tons of attractive models to choose from. Glasses to me are like any other accessory. zeekyhbomb
When I first got them it took ages to put them in, and they were so uncomfortable. Now, probably 2 years or so later, I don't notice them. I pop them in every morning after getting out of the shower, it takes about 5 seconds. I've never had an infection or any troubles, I wear Acuvue Advanced, which are supposed to be thrown out every 2 weeks. Just keep them cleaned with the solution, and don't keep them in for too long. If they aren't made for sleeping in, don't, its awful. They dry to your eyes and its just... yeah.

FuBai
So... contact lenses... I'm on a 2 week trial right now from Specsavers so im still getting used to them but i'd like to know other peoples experiences with them. Daily disposables (what ive got) as opposed to monthlys etc. They still feel a bit weird atm but they arnt uncomfortable. I use monthly lenses, but I also went through specsavers. I had monthlys on a two week trial too. At first it took up to half an hour to get the lenses in in the morning, but I find them much better than glasses, more comfortable, cant get in the way or drop off etc. I now pay 10 pounds a month for them, and any eye check ups I need are free with the plan. ThoseTheBrokes
I've been wearing contacts since I was 14-15, So nearly 2 years now. I wear dailies, They can get very uncomfortable at night. I was advised to wear them for 10 hours a day, I wear them on a normal school day from 6 in the morning till about 12 at night, And they're ok. But If I'm with my girlfriend or going out and staying out all night and into the early morning they can become uncomfortable because they dry out a little. During the summer they'll dry out faster as well. It's so much better than wearing glasses though. My dA account..retired, as of the 1st January 2008. Perhaps you should try something like that. Mine's are advised to wear 15 hours. Make7upu101
Monthlies really don't take that much maintenance. I rub them a little in the solution before I put them in and it's fine. I've been wearing them for about 4 years now and I pretty much have no trouble with them except that I can't sleep for long periods of time (longer than 30 minutes) with them in because my eyes dry out and when I try and take them out they feel like they're stuck on my eyeballs.
