August 8, 200916 yr "Crap stats"? I assume you are talking about the +9s of skill capes. That would currently bump our possible cape bonuses up by about 300%. Dropping it down to +5s would still more than double it.
August 8, 200916 yr So you want crap stats? Spend all that time to get a (whatever the item will now be) and you get crap stats like that, I think members get a raw deal with the stats we get now but making it longer to get a 99 and giving them worse stats when they do seems like a crap deal. JAGEX say that the f2p is the full game and members is just an expansion to it but then they say that basicaly you shouldn't get a 99 in f2p cos "I don't think its the best possible experience for our players to grind away repetitively at the same content for weeks on end." But they then say "We are looking at other ways of recognizing our RuneScape Hero's both Free and Members alike" so I don't know what there thinking, it seems to contradict it's self. IM GOING TO LIVE FOREVER .......... or die trying

I saw that one as well perfetc :) kinda :S weird
August 8, 200916 yr I bet your not happy at the news that there will be a new f2p skill, when you are so close to maxing  Maybe you can be the first to max that skill. IM GOING TO LIVE FOREVER .......... or die trying
August 8, 200916 yr well if they dont make skill capes f2p atleast make a person that sells the capes like example the holiday item guy (dont remember name) in f2p but you can only buy after you bought in p2p, and if you die in f2p with your skill cape you can go to him and buy the cape for 99k

Forcing people to buy membership in order to buy a cape or whatever else item they decide to bring out. I think JAGEX are doing it the long way round, instead of bringing out an idetical item for f2p and make a few new npc's, they are going to make something brand spanking new that does exactly the same job as skill capes. :wall: IM GOING TO LIVE FOREVER .......... or die trying
August 10, 200916 yr well if they dont make skill capes f2p atleast make a person that sells the capes like example the holiday item guy (dont remember name) in f2p but you can only buy after you bought in p2p, and if you die in f2p with your skill cape you can go to him and buy the cape for 99k What's the freaking point of that? It's just making someone who sells the capes in F2P, and you still have to get membership before to get the cape... August 13, 200916 yr It helps the people would lose member but have a 99 stat. Do they deserve to get an advantage? Yes, they were once customers, but so what? Does that give them a special advantage because they ONCE paid? No. They are just F2P players too, if they don't pay. If you switched from a bank to another, than back to the first bank, do you get a special privilege? No. Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing!
August 14, 200916 yr They paid 5 dollars. As far as jagex is concerned, they deserve more. They paid $5 for their membership, not special privileges AFTER their membership ends. Click here for an awesome suggestion to revive smithing!
August 15, 200916 yr someone tell me wtf is so hard about buying a membership? for anyone who says it ruins their pure f2p status, you brought this upon yourselves. and for anyone who calls members stubborn because of the fact that they pay for the capes, those who choose not to pay are equally stubborn. Disregard females. Acquire currency.

August 15, 200916 yr And even more (or maybe of equal importance), some parents dont buy their kids membership.

I've worked full time over this summer and I'd rather not pay for some expansion pack. I know it's not hard, I know it's inexpensive, but I'd still like to see F2P get some sort of skill cape rather than have to pay for it. Taking a Playstation 3 break.

But it is usually not the money that is the problem (for those willing to pay but not able to). A lot of people can't get permission from parents, and cannot get a steady job. Others do not have access to these recently released payment methods. For me, though, I will not pay on my current main. My first account will get that honour when I finish up some hefty goals.

Mine don't want me having membership, even if i do pay for it myself with money from my part time job. It takes alot of convincing to get them to do it. O.O
August 16, 200916 yr I say that they should. It's much harder (in some cases) to get a skillcape in F2P, so why should they be deprived of the joy of owning one? Members DO NOT pay $5 a month for skill capes, we pay for more updates, quests, skills (a new one will be released for F2P), items, monsters and more. By allowing F2P to have skillcapes, the F2P world does not need to get any larger. The NPCs just need to be moved into an F2P world.

The point is RuneScape is for LEISURE. I don't want to waste my money on something for leisure. You want to do it, go ahead. August 16, 200916 yr A lot of what I am about to say has probably been said, but I'd rather not read through 47 pages (: Anyways, F2P has to work a ton harder. I'm going for smithing, pure f2p. I don't get to make way easy cash, then go smith at sc so that I can start doing 2x smithing with sc hammers. I can't use Goldsmithing Gauntlets either. Nor is it easy to lose little money or even gain money and get decent xp while smithing. Basically, F2P smithing is like 5x harder than P2P smithing. But that isn't my problem. My problem is that mems get to go around bragging about it, when I have to work way harder to get my 99 smithing and can show nothing (when I do get it). That applies to basically any skill. Now, I have no problem with mems getting mems stuff, but why should something like showing off a 99 be decided by who pays and who doesn't? And people say go mems and get a skill cape. Ok, so when my membership ends, I'm stuck wearing the cape 24/7 or I can never wear it again. That's pretty stupid, too. ------------------------------- If they were to become f2p, I also thought of the portal idea (before reading this). They could make something like a Skill Cape portal building in Lumbridge (a small building with portals to all member-area skill cape masters), and you can enter the portal to the Skill Cape master once you have the required 99. __________________________________________________________________________ Sadly, though... Mod Mmg Jagex Mod 06-Aug-2009 22:01:05 Q) Mage Dark39 will there be f2p skillcapes? -------------------------------------- A) No having looked into this more I'm not so sure it's the good idea I first thought it was, the big reason is there is not so much variety for free players at the really high levels and as a result I don't think its the best possible experience for our players to grind away repetitively at the same content for weeks on end. Naturally members have far more granular progression at high levels so I think this offers the best possible player experience and most importantly its more fun due to all the choice at the high levels. We are looking at other ways of recognizing our RuneScape Hero's both Free and Members alike, I expect this will be far more popular but its still in the early stages of development at the moment ________________________________________________________________________ I really hope it's "far more popular"
August 16, 200916 yr maybe they should make skill capes for f2p for only the npc skill capes that are in f2p areas sounds fair enough

Just don't try to impose your stupid opinion on people who don't want to waste money on things that are for leisure. youre right lol, thats why you shouldnt get them, because of the fact the capes are members only content. this whole idea of its 10x harder on f2p so we deserve x could be applied to just about any member content. and before you think im out to get you because of your strong insecurity, the you in this post and last are both generalizations unlike your first ignorant post, but thats what you want me to make the community think isnt it? o and i forgot to add, what makes my opinion stupid compared to anyone elses? most likely because it is so simple and uncomplicated Disregard females.
