Should F2P get skill capes?

someone tell me wtf is so hard about buying a membership? for anyone who says it ruins their pure f2p status, you brought this upon yourselves. and for anyone who calls members stubborn because of the fact that they pay for the capes, those who choose not to pay are equally stubborn.

youre right lol, thats why you shouldnt get them, because of the fact the capes are members only content. this whole idea of its 10x harder on f2p so we deserve x could be applied to just about any member content.

How is it? They could get 9 of the capes out of 15 f2p skills.

 

 

 

It would is just be a lottery that was played ages ago as to which capes they could get with this idea, for example they couldn't get attack or strength but they could defence.

 

 

 

You probably just wanted to sit on the fence and make every body happy but it is either all of the members and f2p capes or none of them.

What would be so hard about moving the cape salesmen to specific areas on F2P worlds? They did it to Mandrith on PvP worlds, this would just be on a larger scale. Say, put Ajjat by the black knight fortress, the master fisherman by a fishing spot, etc.

Well, it's the p2p players that pay for the extra content, and the capes just happen to be extra content. It's a choice you make by being f2p. Not having skill capes is one of the things you then miss out on, but hey, everyone is free to make that choice for themselves.

There have been posts from JAGEX staff saying skill capes are not going f2p they are getting something else.

 

 

 

Unless you can provide a source for this 5% no body will belive it.

Actually f2p generates more than 280K a year in adverts so they do support the game just not out of there own pocket and JAGEX has said f2p are getting something for getting a 99 just not a skillcape.

 

 

 

There is graph somewere showing that f2p generated 7% of income for JAGEX which means that if JAGEX earns £4 million a year then 7% is about 280k, I think. (maths was never my strong point :( )

We already know, some body posted a copy of what a JAGEX staff said which was that they wouldn't be getting skill capes but they would be getting something that had the same meaning as skill capes ..... so basically there getting skill capes.

Running servers is one thing. F2p also requires J-mods, development, monitoring, maintenence, etc..
