i went there once with a friend, i was only 95 combat and he was 120, the guys there are so angry! my mate and i killed everyone and they complained because we ate lobsters (lol). Then he let me win and everyone was getting so angry :S

If there's a PVP area, and there aren't any written down rules that they have to follow, only rediculous "honor" rules, i'm pretty sure that i'd be as rutheless as I want! Besides, you don't even lose anything when you die there! I don't see why you didn't just load up on mage gear and barrages/ entangles and have some fun!

Pits is just a place to get into arguments with people and be challenged to "Dm me" when you beat them... It's rather sad how people take it so seriously.

Pretty much any combat is free for all. Anyway, you cant expect people who youve just met in pits to be loyal to each other. And your freind removed you from freinds, so he is obviously is no longer your freind, so he should have no qualms about slaying you.

well the fight pits are more of a wildy then a team game they are all pretending that they can take your stuff so its like pile jumping so they just want to win its not about team sport its about winning it could be a bit more fair if it wasn't multiplayer and just 1 on 1 till the last one standing wins but then ancient mages might complain

I'll break this into parts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Today I got bored of training prayer, so I bought full dharoks and headed off to fight pits to have some fun. Now I like playing games fairly, however every world I hopped to was just full of backstabbing, eating, pile jumping cheaters.

 

 

 

Let's see ... your first mistake: You brought dharocks as your primary weapon. Dharocks completely STINKS. Veracs, is the best thing virtually anyone can bring; hits hard, hits through prayer and defense, somewhat decent melee stats. Prayer bonus. Backstabbing? It's all part of the game. Eating? It's there for a reason. Pile jumping? Again, it's part of the game. It's strategy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My first game was in world 2, where someone like 1stryder or something in full veracs became leader. I respected him, and everything seemed to be going well, until a 1 on 1 happened, the guy on low hp in full dharoks was nearly dead, but instead of letting him finish and possibly defeating the other guy, stryder decided to pile jump and kill him. Now if that were me, personally I wouldn't interfere. So after I vented my frustration saying that he pile-jumped him, he decided to hate me, and sent his team of gullable stryder-followers to pile-jump me. I ended up hopping worlds because of this insane array of pile-jumping, eating, backstabbing, cheating frenzy.

 

 

 

Big mistake going to world 2. BIG.

 

Again, pilejumping is part of the game. You're an idiot for voicing your opinion; THE BEST WAY, is to stay absolutely quiet, unless you have something to contribute. Don't make them mad. Make them HAPPY. They'll like you more, giving you more of a chance of getting away of things. I love how you call it cheating, when it's really just part of the game.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So then I come to the next fullest world, world 18. To my surprize I find bequai, one of my friends, thinking there's actually hope of him becoming a team, I look at my friends list and he's not on, (Hasn't been on for ages) so I asked him if he deleted me. He just replies "Yea". Great! Why not.. and to top it all off, they all pile-jump me at the start.

 

 

 

That's just mainly bad luck, aside from choosing a horrible world. Stick to world 99, anything, just not those popular worlds.

 

 

 

I'm over fight pits. Jagex shouldn't have brought it out, it brings out the worst in everyone, and just shows how many people don't play fairly.

 

 

 

If Jagex never brought out this game, I'd be long gone. It's not bad; just stay away from it if you can't learn how to win. Some people suck at it, some are great at it. And again, it's not a matter of fairness; it's a matter of strategy. Just remember, you're trying to do anything to win. Anything at all, just to win.

 

 

 

Am I the only way that feels like this towards fight pits?

 

 

 

No. If you don't believe I know what I'm saying, you can ask most anybody here at TIF, and they'll say I fight pits a lot. I have over 70k solely from fight pits, and I'm level 94. I know every safe spot for a monster, side steps, and methods to win.

and btw soma, like I said, I realize it's free-for-all/multi-combat bla bla bla but I don't think you realize what i'm saying.

 

 

 

It's not the fact that people are pj'ing me, it's the fact that when you join a team, and you trust them and they trust you, word for word, for them to do a complete 180 degree turn, pile you and take you off friends list - it kind of gives you a reality check that games like that bring out the worst in people.

 

 

 

and also - a leader isn't meant to have eating, pile-jumping 1 on 1's and backstabbing qualities as far as I remember.

 

 

 

Since when do you loose items in fight pits?

 

 

 

If I'm correct the term Pjing, or Pile Jacking is when: Someone has killed another person, and is looting their corpse, another player comes in and starts to kill them forcing them to leave their loot behind. Thus the attacker can take the loot that was left behind.

 

 

 

Please, give me an explanation of how that happens in fight pits. Also, I don't see what you're getting disgruntled about considering the fact nothing is lost or won in Fit pits except the certain gratifaction of being the last man standing

You're obviously angry because you lost. My friend and I go to the fight pits all the time, and we are always a team of two. We take with us:

 

 

 

A full inventory of sharks

 

A super set

 

Runes to ice barrage

 

Prayer potions

 

 

 

We team, backstab, pile, mage, pray, pot, run, and hide. People get angry and we beat them. Last night a level 120 got angry because me and my friend took him out in 2 DDS specs (1 each). He told my mate to DM him, so he did, and as soon as the game started I ice blitzed him while my mate DDS speced him.

i know what ya mean.. ..like getting teamed right when you get there and you did nothing to antaginise(sp?) the other players.

 

 

 

Whenever i go to fight pits i usually am the leader, as im usually close to the highest cb lvl there. But i play fair, my team will go and attack other teams, and whenever were the last ones left, we wait it out for the monsters and whoever is the last standing wins. BUT you can't go hide form the monsters, you ahve to stay and fight them. - This is what i always do, its fair and no1 gets angry. \

 

 

 

and instead of getting dhoracks, try getting guthans, you can use that to heal up on other players, this is what i used to do befor ei sold my guthans.

Sometimes full worlds should be avoided. All they have are huge "teams" and a lot of people calling eachother food noobs and whatnot.

Erm, I've been leaders of huge teams before, and I often got killed. Besides, if I have a 3-5 man team, then We'll usually wait it out, and let the monsters\constant 1s kill us.

I usually end up being the leader, so I got a bunch of people not attacking me to start with. We kill everyone else and then I do what I need to do to win.

For your information this is the first rant i've ever had about a minigame, and this topic should be closed, all it's doing now is creating unnecessary spam and flame wars - thanks to the people that actually had a brain and were sensible about this topic.
